The Puerto Rico Bank (PRB) (Spanish: Banco de Puerto Rico), also known as the Puerto Rican Bank (PRB), is a carbonate platform and insular shelf comprising the archipelagos of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, located between the Greater Antilles and the Lesser Antilles in the northeastern Caribbean. Last subaerially exposed from the Last Glacial Maximum in the Last Glacial Period of the Late Pleistocene Age to the Northgrippian Age of the Holocene Epoch, the bank connected Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands into a single landmass until sea level rise fragmented it into the present-day islands between 10,000 to 7,000 years Before Present (8,050 to 5,050 years Before Christ). It is within the Puerto Rico-Virgin Islands Microplate between the North American Plate and Caribbean Plate.

Ceiba State Forest (Spanish: Bosque Estatal de Ceiba), also referred to as the Ceiba State Reserve (Spanish: Reserva Estatal de Ceiba), is a mangrove forest and nature reserve located in the eastern coast of Puerto Rico, in the municipalities of Ceiba and Fajardo. The forest extends over 350 acres and is mostly made of mangrove forests which are habitat to a large number of bird species. Although named Ceiba State Forest, the forest is not home to the large ceiba tree (Ceiba pentandra), and it is actually named after the municipality it is located in. In addition to the mangrove forests, the reserve also includes coastal zones that comprise sandy beaches and coral reefs found in both the Ceiba and Fajardo sections.

Ceiba Fire Station

The Ceiba Fire Station, at 226 Lauro Piñero Avenue in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, was built in 1954. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It is a two-story 15 feet (4.6 m) wide, 35 feet (11 m) deep, building, set back about 20 feet (6.1 m). Fire hoses were cleaned and hung to dry on its second floor terrace.

It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation airport. The airport also offers scheduled passenger service via three commercial airlines to the islands of Vieques and Culebra, Puerto Rico. The airport opened in November 2008 on the site of the former Roosevelt Roads Naval Station, replacing the Diego Jiménez Torres Airport (IATA: FAJ, ICAO: TJFA, FAA LID: X95) in Fajardo. The airport was used as a testing site for Google Loon, a project to deliver high-speed internet using high-altitude balloons.
