Public Service Building (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)

Everett Street Station, also called Milwaukee Union Station, was a railway station located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, built by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (CMStP&P), commonly known as the Milwaukee Road. The station was located on West Everett Street between North 2nd Street and North 4th Street, and it featured a 140-foot-high clock tower—the largest in America at the time of construction. Designed by E. Townsend Mix in a "modern" functional style, the station combined the Gothic Revival style with elements drawing on Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival styles (such as stone archways) in an eclectic blend. Walter G. Berg gave a detailed description of the building in Buildings and Structures of American Railroads (1893).The station faced the Fourth Ward Park (since renamed Zeidler Park), which afforded both a vantage point for viewing the station and a bucolic respite from the mechanized industrial culture of the railroad. The station served passengers from its opening in 1886 until it was replaced by Union Station (now Milwaukee Intermodal Station) on August 4, 1965. The station was damaged by fire a week after closing and razed the following year.

The Wisconsin Workers Memorial is a public artwork by American artists Terese Agnew and Mary Zebell located in Zeidler Park, which is in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The artwork, created in 1995, takes the whole park as its theme, and includes a gazebo in the middle of the park with handles of tools and grills forming the ornamental grillwork. There are also decorative chains around the park spelling out popular labor slogans, as well as graphic panels explaining significant moments in Wisconsin's labor history.

The Gimbels Parking Pavilion is an Art Moderne-style parking ramp built by Gimbels Department Store for its customers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1947. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Avenue (previously known as The Grand Avenue, The Shops of Grand Avenue and Shops of Grand Avenue) is an urban shopping plaza currently under renovation that spans three city blocks in the downtown neighborhood of Westown in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Avenue has been the only major indoor shopping facility in the city of Milwaukee proper with the closing of Capitol Court in 2000 and the Northridge Mall in 2003 due to competition from newly renovated malls in nearby suburbs.

The John Plankinton statue is a six foot (1.8 m) lifelike representation of the businessman and industrialist. It took the sculptor Richard Henry Park six months to make and was initially placed in the Plankinton House Hotel in downtown Milwaukee in 1892. The property in 1916 was redeveloped into the Plankinton Arcade shopping plaza. The property was again redeveloped in the 1970s into the John Plankinton Mall at the same location where the hotel once stood. The latest redevelopment of the property occurred in 1980 to 1982 and renamed the Shops of Grand Avenue. The statue was restored in 2012 and placed on a 15 foot (4.6 m) pedestal becoming a permanent part of the shopping plaza. It is now viewed by hundreds of shoppers daily.

The Butterfly Theater opened in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, on September 2, 1911. The theater had 1,500 seats and it featured a US$10,000 (equivalent to $327,000 in 2023) pipe organ. The facade was adorned by a 27 ft (8.2 m) wide butterfly which was illuminated by 1,000 light bulbs. The theater had marble floors, canaries in gilded cages, crystal chandeliers and a mirrored staircase. The land used for the theater was the former site of two nickelodeon theaters. The theaters were razed and the Butterfly Theater was constructed on the site and operated from 1911 to 1930. The theater claimed to be almost fireproof. The Butterfly Theater was razed in 1930 and the Warner Movie Palace opened on the site in 1931.

Warner Grand Theater also known as the Bradley Symphony Center, is an Art Deco style theater which was built in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1930. The theater was built on the site of the 1,500 seat Butterfly Theater. It is presently the home of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Family is a public artwork by American artist Helaine Blumenfeld located on the Henry Reuss Federal Plaza, which is in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The sculpture is made from Norwegian blue granite. It consists of five forms, with the largest form measuring approximately 89 x 58 x 27 inches. Family was installed in the Henry Reuss Federal Plaza in 1983.

The American Society for Quality (ASQ), formerly the American Society for Quality Control (ASQC), is a society of quality professionals, with nearly 80,000 members.

Peter John was a sculpture by artist John Raimondi commissioned in 1978. It was located in front of the new Blue Cross Blue Shield building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2015, during the conversion of the building into apartments, the sculpture disappeared and its whereabouts are unknown.

310W is a 14 story office building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The cobalt blue building is the third largest multi-tenant office building in Wisconsin with a leasable area of over 600,000 square feet (56,000 m2). It consists of two wings connected by an atrium, and is connected to the Milwaukee skywalk system.

Topiary Lucere is a public art work by American artist Steve Feren located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a Marriott Hotel near the intersection of Plankinton and Wisconsin Avenues. The artwork consists of an array of concrete forms, sculpted boxwood shrub and a dramatically lit centerpiece.
