The Apollinarisstadion is a football ground located in the city of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Rhineland-Palatinate. It was the homeground of former Women's Bundesliga team SC 07 Bad Neuenahr until the dissolvement of the club in 2013. Since then, the ground is used by its successor club SC 13 Bad Neuenahr which is playing in the Regionalliga Südwest, the third-tier league in German women's football. The Apollinarisstadion serves as the homeground for the men's football team Ahrweiler BC and the track team TuS Ahrweiler.

The Landskrone in the borough of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate is a hill, 271.7 m above sea level (NHN), in the Middle Rhine area. It used to be called the Gimmiger Berg and Gymmicher Kupp, but is now named after the ruins of the imperial castle of Landskron which are found on its heights. On the western hillside of the Landskrone is the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour (Maria-Hilf-Kapelle) or St. Mary's Chapel (Marienkapelle).

The Vinxtbach is a stream of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is around 19 km (12 mi) long, rises south-southwest of Schalkenbach-Obervinxt and east of the Adert and discharges into the River Rhine near Rheineck Castle between Bad Breisig and Brohl-Lützing. The name Vinxt is derived from the Latin term finis, which means "border". In ancient Rome, the Vinxtbach marked the border between the provinces Germania Inferior and Germania Superior. In times of the Middle Ages, it was the border between the duchies of Lower Lorraine and Upper Lorraine. Today the Vinxtbach forms a dialect boundary, the "Vinxtbach line" (Vinxtbachlinie): north of the Vinxtbach the Ripuarian dialects are spoken, south of it, the Moselle Franconian dialects.

Ahrweiler (German: [ˈaːɐ̯ˌvaɪlɐ]) is a district in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Euskirchen, Rhein-Sieg and the city of Bonn in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the districts of Neuwied, Mayen-Koblenz and Vulkaneifel.

The Red Wine Trail (Rotweinwanderweg), opened in 1972, is a trail that runs high above the floor of the Ahr Valley linking the wine villages of the Ahr wine region in Germany along the River Ahr. The route runs from Altenahr via Mayschoß, Rech and Dernau to the well known rock formation of Bunte Kuh near Walporzheim. The Red Wine Trail then continues to the former abbey of Marienthal. It then goes to the Government Bunker Documentation Site, the Roman villa near Ahrweiler, the memorial by the Silberberg Tunnel and continues via Heppingen to the station square of Bad Bodendorf. Most of the trail runs through the open vineyards on the northern slopes of the Ahr Valley. Many parts of the path are tarmacked because they are used by agricultural vehicles so that special hiking equipment is not necessary. At weekends and in the months of September and Oktober the hiking trail, which is the most popular in the Eifel, is very busy. During the grape harvest at the end of September and during events (running, wine festivals or firework displays) the path may be closed in places.
