Tremadog (formerly Tremadoc) is a village in the community of Porthmadog, in Gwynedd, north west Wales; about one mile (1.6 km) north of Porthmadog town centre. It was a planned settlement, founded by William Madocks, who bought the land in 1798. The centre of Tremadog was complete by 1811 and remains substantially unaltered. Tremadog hosted an unofficial National Eisteddfod event in 1872.

Tremadog Town Hall (Welsh: Neuadd y Dref Tremadog) is a municipal building on Stryd Fawr, in Tremadog, Gwynedd, Wales. The structure, which was most recently used as a shop, is a Grade II* listed building.

Coed Tremadog National Nature Reserve is located near Porthmadog, Gwynedd, Wales. Its most striking features are huge volcanic cliffs which drop down to steep slopes of scree beneath. The rocks at the reserve are very unstable, and there is a significant danger from rockfalls. Although the site is dry and sunny, the deep rocky ravines and shade cast by trees allow damp-loving mosses and liverworts to thrive.

Porthmadog railway station serves the town of Porthmadog on the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, Wales. The station is on the Cambrian Coast Railway with passenger services to Pwllheli, Harlech, Barmouth, Machynlleth, Shrewsbury and Birmingham.

The Porthmadog, Beddgelert and South Snowdon Railway (PB&SSR) was a 1 ft 11+1⁄2 in (597 mm) narrow gauge railway intended to connect Porthmadog with the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railways link terminus at Rhyd Ddu. Although some of the line was constructed between 1901 and 1906, it never opened and eventually became part of the Welsh Highland Railway.

Porthmadog (WHHR) railway station is the southern terminus of the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway and serves the western end of the town of Porthmadog in Gwynedd, Wales. It is situated opposite the Porthmadog National Rail station. The station opened on 2 August 1980 and was originally a simple wooden shed situated in the car park. In January 1986 a portable building was installed at the end of the platforms for use as a waiting room and café. In 1990 a permanent station building was built between the café and the buffer stops. Initially it replaced the wooden shed and was subsequently extended to the east in 1993 to double the size of the shop. The old café was demolished in 1998 and the station building was extended over its site. The station building was built by volunteers and is a single-storey building with a pitched roof and canopy. During the 1998 Civil's week the 50 lb run round point was replaced with a 75 lb full lead allowing a short siding to be constructed adjacent to the headshunt. This siding is now used to store various historic wagons, considerably enhancing the period feel of the station. The run round loop was relaid in 75 lb rail the same week.

Ysbyty Alltwen (English: Alltwen Hospital) is a health facility in Tremadog, Gwynedd, Wales. It is managed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Ysgol Eifionydd is a bilingual co-educational comprehensive school for 11-16 year-old pupils. It is situated in the town of Porthmadog, Gwynedd, Wales. The school serves the towns of Porthmadog, Cricieth and the rural villages of the area.

Porthmadog (Welsh: [pɔrθˈmadɔɡ] ), originally Portmadoc until 1974 and locally as "Port", is a coastal town and community in the Eifionydd area of Gwynedd, Wales, and the historic county of Caernarfonshire. It lies 5 miles (8 km) east of Criccieth, 11 miles (18 km) south-west of Blaenau Ffestiniog, 25 miles (40 km) north of Dolgellau and 20 miles (32 km) south of Caernarfon. The community population of 4,185 in the 2011 census was put at 4,134 in 2019. It grew in the 19th century as a port for local slate, but as the trade declined, it continued as a shopping and tourism centre, being close to Snowdonia National Park and the Ffestiniog Railway. The 1987 National Eisteddfod was held there. It includes nearby Borth-y-Gest, Morfa Bychan and Tremadog.

Gelert's Farm Halt railway station on the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway is a railway station in Wales that was opened in 1988. It is a simple platform alongside the main shed at Gelert's Farm Works. All trains in one direction stop at the halt for the passengers to visit the museum. The halt is a request stop for trains in the other direction. Until the end of 2005 trains stopped in the Pen-y-Mount (up) direction. From the 2006 season, trains stop in the Porthmadog (down) direction. The platform was rebuilt and extended in 2006. In early 2007, the platform was extended a further 40 ft (12 m) in the northerly direction and a ramp constructed to enter the North Yard. A water supply has been installed at the southern end of the platform for watering locomotives.

Gelert's Farm Works is the operating centre for the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway (WHHR). It is located in Porthmadog, Wales, and was, as the name suggests, a working farm.
