The Grand Opera House was a theatre in Brooklyn, New York that was in operation from 1881 through 1920. The theatre was demolished in 1924 along with several adjacent buildings to make room for the A. I Namm & Sons department store.

11 Hoyt is a residential skyscraper in the Downtown Brooklyn neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, designed by architect Studio Gang with executive architect Hill West and developed by real estate conglomerate Tishman Speyer.

The Offerman Building is a historic commercial building at 503–513 Fulton Street in the Downtown Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City. Designed by architect Peter J. Lauritzen in the Romanesque Revival style, the eight-story building was built between 1890 and 1892 to house the S. Wechsler & Brother department store. Although the lower stories remain in commercial use, the upper stories were converted into a 121-unit residential complex in the 2010s. The building is a New York City designated landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is divided into three section: the original wings on Fulton Street to the south and Duffield Street to the east, as well as a three-story glass annex on Bridge Street to the west that dates from the 2010s. On the Fulton and Duffield Street wings, the first and second stories of the facade are clad in stone, while brick and terracotta are used on the upper stories. The Fulton Street wing is mostly seven stories high (except for the central eight-story section), while the Duffield Street wing is six stories high. Inside, the building was originally used in its entirety as a department store, with various selling departments on each floor, as well as a small mechanical plant in the basement. The building's interior has been rearranged multiple times throughout the years; by the 2010s, only the basement and first two stories remained in retail use. The building was developed by Brooklyn Sugar Refining Company president Henry Offerman, who agreed in late 1889 to lease the entire structure to S. Wechsler & Bro. (later Wechsler Bros. & Co.). The Offerman Building opened on May 1, 1891, and was expanded along Duffield Street in 1892 after the store's business grew significantly. Wechsler Bros. & Co. occupied the building until 1895, when Offerman took over the store. Joseph H. Bauland operated the store from 1897 to 1903, and Chapman & Co. then operated the store until 1907. The structure was then used as offices from 1909 to 1922, when Martin's department store moved into the building. Martin's occupied the Offerman Building for nearly six decades, moving out during 1979, after which the Laboz family's company United American Land bought the building. In the first two decades of the 21st century, the Laboz family leased out the lowest floors as retail space and converted the upper stories to apartments.

Elm Place – Duffield Street was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City. The Fulton Street Elevated was built by the Kings County Elevated Railway Company and this station started service on April 24, 1888. The station had 2 tracks and 2 offset side platforms. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and until 1920, trains of the BMT Brighton Line. This station was served by steam locomotives between 1888 and 1899. In 1898, the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT) absorbed the Kings County Elevated Railway, and it took over the Fulton Street El, and it was electrified on July 3, 1899. It closed on June 1, 1940, when all service from Fulton Ferry and Park Row to Rockaway Avenue was abandoned, as it came under city ownership. Current rapid transit service at these intersections consists of entrances to the Hoyt Street subway station on the IRT Eastern Parkway Line built in 1908.

Albee Square is a public plaza in Downtown Brooklyn, New York City. The plaza is located at the intersection of Fulton Street, DeKalb Avenue, and Albee Square West. It is named after Edward Franklin Albee II who was the owner of several area theaters during the 1800s. Albee Square was a theater until 1977 when it was replaced by the Albee Square Mall, which was subsequently demolished for new development in 2004.Albee Square West is also the name of a street that originates at Albee Square. It carries northbound traffic for one block from Fulton Street at its southern end to Willoughby Street at its northern end. At its northern end, Albee Square West becomes Gold Street, a one-way southbound street that continues north for two blocks to Myrtle Avenue. Both the mixed-use City Point development and the proposed One Willoughby Square development are located on Albee Square West.The Statue of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a 6 ft (1.8 m) bronze statue, set on a 1 ft (0.30 m) base, of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the second woman to serve on the United States Supreme Court, was installed permanently outside 445 Albee Square on March 15, 2021.

388 Bridge Street is a 590-foot residential high-rise skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn, within New York City. It contains 378 market rate units, mixed between 234 rentals and 144 condominiums. The building was originally under construction as an all condominium tower before the 2000s real estate crash and subsequent Great Recession. Construction halted from 2008 to 2012 due to the recession, but resumed in 2013.When topped out in 2013, it was the tallest building in Brooklyn, passing the four-year-old Brooklyner, until it, too, was passed by AVA DoBro. 388 Bridge Street is now the fourth-tallest in Brooklyn.

Abolitionist Place is an alternative name for a section of Duffield Street in Brooklyn, New York City, which was a significant site of abolitionist activity in the 19th century. Abolitionists Harriet and Thomas Truesdell lived at 227 Duffield Street, which is believed to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad. William Harned, an Underground Railroad conductor, lived at the intersection with Willoughby Street, and stories have been passed down orally of involvement of several houses on the block. Duffield Street is said to be named for John Duffield, a Brooklyn resident and surgeon during the American Revolutionary War.In the mid-2000s the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) announced plans to use eminent domain to seize and demolish the sites to construct a new public square and underground parking, leading the community to organize in opposition. Amid the pushback, the city renamed the street Abolitionist Place while proceeding with development plans. By 2019, all but one of the sites with claimed abolitionist activity on the street were demolished. The last, 227 Duffield, was designated as a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2021. A public space at the intersection with Willoughby Street, also named Abolitionist Place, is in development as of June 2021.

AVA DoBro, also known as Avalon Willoughby West and by its address of 100 Willoughby, is a residential high-rise building in Downtown Brooklyn, New York City. A large building, it has 826 units over 57 floors. As part of the development, a new entrance to the Jay Street–MetroTech station of the New York City Subway was built, including an elevator.When it topped out in July 2015, it became the tallest building in Brooklyn, surpassing 388 Bridge Street by 34 feet (10 m); until it was passed by The Hub a few months later.

One Willoughby Square (originally 420 Albee Square), styled as 1WSQ, is an office building under construction in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The building is being developed by JEMB Realty, and current plans have been drafted by FXCollaborative.

The Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets station (shown as "Hoyt-Schermerhorn" on official subway maps) is an express station of the New York City Subway, serving the IND Crosstown Line and the IND Fulton Street Line. Located at the intersection of Hoyt Street and Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn, it is served by the A and G trains at all times, and the C train at all times except late nights. Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets was originally built as an interchange station between the Fulton Street and Crosstown lines of the Independent Subway System (IND). Construction of the station began around 1929, and it was opened to service on April 9, 1936. Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets has six tracks and four island platforms, with two platforms and three tracks for each direction of service. The innermost tracks in each direction originally served Crosstown Line trains, while the center tracks were supposed to serve Fulton Street express trains and the outermost tracks were supposed to serve Fulton Street local trains to Court Street. However, Court Street was only served by a shuttle train from Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets, which stopped running in 1946. All Fulton Street Line trains currently use the center tracks in each direction, and all Crosstown Line trains use the innermost tracks, while the outermost tracks and platforms are not utilized for revenue service. Until 1981, the outer platforms were used by special trains to Aqueduct Racetrack, which stopped on the center tracks in each direction. Today, the abandoned tracks and platforms are only used on special occasions, such as for film shoots or moving trains to the New York Transit Museum at the former Court Street station. The mezzanine has also been used for film shoots, most famously for the video of Michael Jackson's single "Bad".

Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare is a restaurant in New York City with three Michelin stars. It was the first New York City restaurant outside Manhattan to receive 3 Michelin stars. In December 2016, the restaurant was relocated from 200 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn to 431 West 37th Street, in the Hell's Kitchen section of Manhattan.
