Mokotów Polish pronunciation: [mɔˈkɔtuf], is a dzielnica (borough, district) of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Mokotów is densely populated, and is a seat to many foreign embassies and companies. Only a small part of the district is lightly industrialised (Służewiec Przemysłowy), while the majority is full of parks and green areas (Mokotów Field). Although the area has been populated at least since the early Middle Ages, it was not until early 1916 when Mokotów was incorporated into Warsaw. The name of the area, first appearing as the village of Mokotowo in documents from the year 1367, has unclear origins. It is hypothesised to have come from the name of a German owner of the village, who called himself Mokoto or Mokot, however no exact reference to such an individual can be found in the historical records. Most of the area was urbanised and redeveloped throughout the 1930s in the style of modernism. The majority of the buildings survived World War II, making it one of the few well-preserved pre-war areas of Warsaw. Mokotów Prison is located within the borough. Residential real estate market in Mokotów, particularly in the neighbourhoods of Stary Mokotów and Wyględów, ranks among the most expensive in Warsaw.

Gmina Mokotów (Polish: [mɔˈkɔt.uf]) was a rural municipality of Warsaw County, located in the Warsaw Governorate, with its seat of government in the village of Mokotów. Currently, the area is part of the Mokotów district within the city of Warsaw, Poland. The municipality was established on 13 January 1867, as a subdivision in the Kingdom of Poland, which was a part of the Russian Empire. During the First World War, the Warsaw Governorate begun being administrated by the Government General of Warsaw on 18 October 1915. The municipality was dissolved on 8 April 1916, being incorporated into the city of Warsaw. In 1890, the municipality had a population of 8,708 people

The Memorial to the Fighting Mokotów of 1944 (Polish: Pomnik Mokotów Walczący 1944), also known as the Mokotów Insurgents Memorial (Polish: Pomnik Powstańców Mokotowa), is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, within the Mokotów district. It is placed in the Dreszer Park, near Ursynowska Street, within the neighbourhood of Wierzbno. The monument is dedicated to the insurgents of the Warsaw Uprising who fought in the Mokotów district, including the park, between 1 August and 27 September 1944. It was designed by Eugeniusz Ajewski, and unveiled on 1 August 1985.

Metro Racławicka is a station on Line M1 of the Warsaw Metro. It is located in the Mokotów district of Warsaw, at the junction of ulica Racławicka (Racławicka Street) and Aleja Niepodległości (Independence Avenue). The station was opened on 7 April 1995 as part of the inaugural stretch of the Warsaw Metro, between Kabaty and Politechnika.

The General Gustaw Orlicz-Dreszer Park, also simply known as Dreszer Park, is an urban park in the city of Warsaw, Poland, in the district of Mokotów. It is located between Ursynowska Street, Puławska Street, Odyńca Street, and Krasickiego Street. The park was designed by Zygmunt Hellwig, and opened in 1938.

Wierzbno is a neighbourhood in Warsaw, a part of the Mokotów district. It was named in the 1930s after a village of the same name that had existed there since the 17th century. Until the 1960s Wierzbno was one of the southern suburbs of the city. After that it was urbanized with blocks of flats and a number of notable offices and facilities were located there, including the main offices of Polish Television and Polish Radio, as well as one of the tram yards. There is a Warsaw Metro station of the same name located there (Wierzbno metro station).

The Fort M-Che, also known as Fort Mokotów-Czerniaków, and Fort Odyńca, was a fort which was a part of the inner circle of the series of fortifications of the Warsaw Fortress. It was built in 1892 by the Imperial Russian Army, in what is now the neighborhood of Wierzbno, in the city of Warsaw, Poland, located near current Czeczota Street and Odyńca Street. It was demilitarized and abandoned in 1909, and deconstructed in the 1920s.

The Mieczysław Broniewski Tenement (Polish pronunciation: [mjɛˈt͡ʂɘ̟.swaf brɔˈɲɛf.ski]; Polish: Kamienica Mieczysława Broniewskiego) is an International Style tenement in Warsaw, Poland, within the Mokotów district. It is located at 22 Narbutta Street, within the neighbourhood of Old Mokotów. It was designed by Antoni Jawornicki, and built between 1937 and 1938. It was modified in 1945, with addition of a 6th storey.
