Seeboden am Millstätter See (Slovene: Jezernica) is a market town in Spittal an der Drau District in Carinthia, Austria.

Komödienspiele Porcia is an annual festival of drama in the tradition of the commedia dell'arte. It is held each summer at Porcia Castle in the Austrian town of Spittal an der Drau, Carinthia. After a group of Viennese dramatists around Thomas Bernhard and H. C. Artmann had discovered the Renaissance courtyard of Porcia Castle for theatre performances, the festival opened in 1961 with an enactment of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. Since then, the festival has been held each summer in July and August. Stagings included notable guest appearances, as from Fritz Muliar, Erika Pluhar, Karlheinz Hackl, and Heidelinde Weis. The ensemble's productions are regularly recorded by the national ORF broadcaster.

Sommeregg is a medieval castle near Seeboden in the Austrian state of Carinthia, Austria. It is situated in the foothills of the Nock Mountains at an altitude of 749 m.During the feudal period, Sommeregg was the seat of the Lord and Burgrave of Sommeregg until 1652. In 1442 the Sommeregg District Court was able to become independent from the County of Ortenburg, which led to an upgrading of the rule.The fortress served as an administrative seat in the Upper Carinthian estates held by the Counts of Ortenburg and Celje; it later was the residence of the Graben and Khevenhüller dynasties; ministeriales of the Austrian House of Habsburg.

Millstatt Abbey (German: Stift Millstatt) is a former monastery in Millstatt, Austria. Established by Benedictine monks about 1070, it ranks among the most important Romanesque buildings in the state of Carinthia. The Benedictines were succeeded by the knightly Order of Saint George in 1469 and the Society of Jesus (Jesuits, SJ) in 1598. Until its dissolution in 1773 under Emperor Joseph II, Millstatt Abbey for centuries was the spiritual and cultural centre of Upper Carinthia and with its possessions around Millstätter See, in the Gurk Valley (Brückl) as well as in the former March of Friuli and in the Archbishopric of Salzburg (Pinzgau), one of the largest in the region.
