Coyote Flats is a city in Johnson County in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, before the community was incorporated, the population was 312.

The university enrolls about 800 students on a rural, 150-acre campus.The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Adventist Accrediting Association. The nursing program is approved by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.

Alvarado Park Lake is a reservoir in Johnson County, Texas 2 miles (3.2 km) southwest of Alvarado, Texas. The county-owned reservoir was built in 1966 by Jack P. McKinney for floodwater retention, municipal water storage, and recreation. It is controlled by the City of Alvarado. The lake is formed by damming the Turkey Creek, a tributary of Chambers Creek and the Trinity River. It drains 31 square miles (80 km2) and is impounded by a 3,500-foot-long (1,100 m) dam 49 feet (15 m) high with a spillway level of 704.1 feet (214.6 m). The water is stained to murky due to sediment.The nearest major highways are I-35W and US Hwy 67, each approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) from the lake.

The Confederate Memorial Arch is a monument located in Cleburne, Texas in memory of the Confederacy The arch stands on the edge of the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery.

Johnson County is named for Colonel Middleton Tate Johnson Sr., a Texas Ranger, politician and soldier in the Mexican-American War and the American Civil War (fighting for the Confederate States Army). Johnson County is included in the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington metropolitan statistical area.

KJRN is owned by Southwestern Adventist University. The DJs consist of both full-time on-air talent and part-time university students. Studios are on the campus on North College Drive and the transmitter is a short distance away off North Old Betsy Road. The signal of the station covers much of Johnson County, part of southern Tarrant County, and can be heard in the southwestern section of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Gorman's Park was a baseball park located in Cleburne, Texas and was the home of the Texas League Cleburne Railroaders in 1906. Controversially, the Railroaders won the Texas League pennant over Fort Worth. Fort Worth won the first half while Cleburne won the second half. However, Cleburne won the title because Fort Worth's players were not available to play in the championship after the regular season. The venue was located at the crossing of Hillsboro and Westhill in Hulen Park.
