On 8 September 2017, a Schweizer 269C helicopter crashed after an uncontrolled descent during a power-off landing attempt at the Flying W Airport in Medford, New Jersey, United States. The aircraft had experienced engine trouble during a local sightseeing flight for the benefit of passenger Troy Gentry, founder and member of the popular American country music band Montgomery Gentry, which was scheduled to perform at a resort at the airport later that day. The pilot died at the scene; Gentry was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

Kirby's Mill is a historic grist mill in Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. Originally known as Haines Mill, it was built in 1778 by Isaac Haines and partners along the Southwest Branch of Rancocas Creek. It was the last commercial operating mill in New Jersey.

Sharps Run is a 4.04-mile (6.50 km) stream that drains into the Southwest Branch Rancocas Creek, in Burlington County, New Jersey. It drains an area of 4.41 square miles (11.4 km2).Sharps Run starts in Evesham Township, and flows eastward into Medford Township. Sharps Run has been defined as a low-gradient stream. In recent years, Sharps Run has improved in water quality.Sharps Run's headwaters lie in Evesham Township, near N. Elmwood Road, and its confluence with Southwest Branch Rancocas Creek is in Medford Township. Sharps Run is generally a slow-flowing river, but has been known to flood and flow rapidly during rain. It drains mostly a suburban/rural area, with plenty of woodlands and agriculture. Freshwater emergent wetlands and freshwater forested wetlands can be found along Sharps Run. Because of marl excavations in the past, there are still some pits that have filled with water and are now wetlands. The elevation ranges from about 55 to 60 feet (17 to 18 m) feet at the start of the river, and 20 feet (6.1 m) at the mouth, though the tributaries have higher elevations near the headwaters.

The Barton Arboretum & Nature Preserve [1] is a 168-acre (0.68 km2) arboretum and nature preserve located in Medford Township. The arboretum is situated on the grounds of Medford Leas [2], a not-for-profit, Quaker-related community for adults age 55 and older. The arboretum is on the edge of the Pine Barrens and includes landscaped grounds, courtyard gardens, wildflower meadows, natural woodlands, and wetlands, as well as tree collections. It was created with the assistance of the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. The Morris Arboretum continues to provide technical support. Attractions include the Pinetum an international collection of exotic pines, a conifer collection, a 0.5-acre (2,000 m2) rhododendron woodland, holly, viburnum, and crabapple collections, and an experimental planting of chestnut trees being grown in cooperation with The American Chestnut Foundation. The arboretum also once had the New Jersey State Champion Carya cordiformis tree, but it was struck by lightning in the fall of 1997 destroying it. The fallen tree and stump still remains in place however. The Arboretum is a member of Greater Philadelphia Gardens[3] as well as the American Association of Public Gardens [4] and is open to the public seven days a week from dawn till dusk, free of charge.

Fostertown is an unincorporated community located within Lumberton Township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The site was founded in 1735 by William Foster, who established a plantation on modern-day West Bella Bridge Road. The area is largely farmland with some houses and a high-voltage power line dotting the landscape.

Little Creek is a 12.58 mile long river in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It drains into the Southwest Branch Rancocas Creek. Little Creek itself drains an area of 6.32 square miles. Little Creek has been found to be impaired for primary recreation, but safe and suitable for aquatic life. Little Creek drains mostly a suburban/rural area, and has been classified as a low-gradient stream.

The Burlington County Institute of Technology Medford Campus is a four-year countywide vocational-technical public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from Burlington County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Burlington County Institute of Technology. Located in Medford, the campus is one of two high schools in the district, along with the Westampton campus. As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 896 students and 68.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.1:1. There were 210 students (23.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 53 (5.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Eayrestown is an unincorporated community located within Lumberton Township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is named for Richard and Elizabeth Eayres, the first settlers of the site in the 1600s. It was also the first settlement in what is now Lumberton Township. The settlement, located along the South Branch Rancocas Creek, was the site of numerous saw and gristmills early in its history and a picnic grove that attracted people from around the area. Today, numerous farms and housing developments dot the area.

The Main Street Friends Meeting House, also known as the Medford Hicksite Meeting House, is a historic Quaker meeting house located in the township of Medford in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It was built from 1842 to 1843 by the Hicksite Sect of the Medford Friends. The brick building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 24, 2011, for its significance in architecture.

Chairville is a rural unincorporated community located along the border of Medford and Southampton townships in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The settlement is named for a chair parts factory that operated from 1845 to 1890. Also located in the area were the Peacock Cemetery, a sawmill, and a one-room schoolhouse. Today, the site is located at the intersection of Chairville Road and New Jersey Route 70 and Little Creek.
