The Barton Arboretum & Nature Preserve [1] is a 168-acre (0.68 km2) arboretum and nature preserve located in Medford Township. The arboretum is situated on the grounds of Medford Leas [2], a not-for-profit, Quaker-related community for adults age 55 and older. The arboretum is on the edge of the Pine Barrens and includes landscaped grounds, courtyard gardens, wildflower meadows, natural woodlands, and wetlands, as well as tree collections. It was created with the assistance of the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. The Morris Arboretum continues to provide technical support. Attractions include the Pinetum an international collection of exotic pines, a conifer collection, a 0.5-acre (2,000 m2) rhododendron woodland, holly, viburnum, and crabapple collections, and an experimental planting of chestnut trees being grown in cooperation with The American Chestnut Foundation. The arboretum also once had the New Jersey State Champion Carya cordiformis tree, but it was struck by lightning in the fall of 1997 destroying it. The fallen tree and stump still remains in place however. The Arboretum is a member of Greater Philadelphia Gardens[3] as well as the American Association of Public Gardens [4] and is open to the public seven days a week from dawn till dusk, free of charge.

Sharps Run is a 4.04-mile (6.50 km) stream that drains into the Southwest Branch Rancocas Creek, in Burlington County, New Jersey. It drains an area of 4.41 square miles (11.4 km2).Sharps Run starts in Evesham Township, and flows eastward into Medford Township. Sharps Run has been defined as a low-gradient stream. In recent years, Sharps Run has improved in water quality.Sharps Run's headwaters lie in Evesham Township, near N. Elmwood Road, and its confluence with Southwest Branch Rancocas Creek is in Medford Township. Sharps Run is generally a slow-flowing river, but has been known to flood and flow rapidly during rain. It drains mostly a suburban/rural area, with plenty of woodlands and agriculture. Freshwater emergent wetlands and freshwater forested wetlands can be found along Sharps Run. Because of marl excavations in the past, there are still some pits that have filled with water and are now wetlands. The elevation ranges from about 55 to 60 feet (17 to 18 m) feet at the start of the river, and 20 feet (6.1 m) at the mouth, though the tributaries have higher elevations near the headwaters.

The Burlington County Institute of Technology Medford Campus is a four-year countywide vocational-technical public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from Burlington County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Burlington County Institute of Technology. Located in Medford, the campus is one of two high schools in the district, along with the Westampton campus. As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 896 students and 68.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.1:1. There were 210 students (23.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 53 (5.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Kirby's Mill is a historic grist mill in Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. Originally known as Haines Mill, it was built in 1778 by Isaac Haines and partners along the Southwest Branch of Rancocas Creek. It was the last commercial operating mill in New Jersey.

The Jonathan Haines House, also known as Friendship Farm, is located on Fostertown Road, north of Church Road, in the township of Medford in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The oldest section of the house was built around 1690 by John Haines. The historic Quaker farmhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 16, 1976, for its significance in agriculture and architecture. The house was first expanded in 1720 by Jonathan Haines with a two-story frame wing. Joseph Haines expanded it in 1808. A two-story brick wing was added around 1850. The house was in the Haines family until 1919. The family also built Kirby's Mill, originally known as Haines' Mill, on the Southwest Branch Rancocas Creek.

Chairville is a rural unincorporated community located along the border of Medford and Southampton townships in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The settlement is named for a chair parts factory that operated from 1845 to 1890. Also located in the area were the Peacock Cemetery, a sawmill, and a one-room schoolhouse. Today, the site is located at the intersection of Chairville Road and New Jersey Route 70 and Little Creek.

Medford is a township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 23,033, reflecting an increase of 780 (+3.5%) from the 22,253 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,727 (+8.4%) from the 20,526 counted in the 1990 Census.Medford was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 1, 1847, from portions of Evesham Township, based on the results of a referendum held that day. Portions of the township were taken to form Shamong Township (February 19, 1852), Lumberton Township (March 14, 1860) and Medford Lakes (May 17, 1939).

On 8 September 2017, a Schweizer 269C helicopter crashed after an uncontrolled descent during a power-off landing attempt at the Flying W Airport in Medford, New Jersey, United States. The aircraft had experienced engine trouble during a local sightseeing flight for the benefit of passenger Troy Gentry, founder and member of the popular American country music band Montgomery Gentry, which was scheduled to perform at a resort at the airport later that day. The pilot died at the scene; Gentry was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

Lenape High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Medford Township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It is the oldest of the four high schools that comprise the Lenape Regional High School District, which serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Evesham Township, Medford Lakes, Medford Township, Mount Laurel Township, Shamong Township, Southampton Township, Tabernacle Township and Woodland Township. Since opening in 1958, the school has served students from Mount Laurel Township. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1963.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,956 students and 160.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.2:1. There were 215 students (11.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 67 (3.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church is a historic church building at 108 Stokes Road in Medford Lakes, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1931 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
