CNA938 is an English radio station of Mediacorp in Singapore. Since mid-2019, the station runs as the complementary to its parent television counterpart in line with the latter's 20th anniversary. CNA938 broadcasts news and talk programmes from 06:00 to 23:59 SST daily, followed by an audio simulcast of CNA during overnight hours.

Bendemeer MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown Line in Kallang, Singapore. Despite its name, the station is not located under Bendemeer Road, but under Kallang Bahru. This station serves the commercial developments around Lavender Street and the industrial estates along Kallang Avenue. The famous Jalan Besar Stadium, Lavender MRT station and Boon Keng MRT station are in close proximity.

Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre, formerly known as St George’s Road Tamil Language Centre, is an academic institution for teaching Tamil language in Singapore. The institution is named after famed Tamil poet Umaru Pulavar. After the closure of Umar Pulavar Tamil High School in 1982, St George’s Road Tamil Language Centre was renamed as Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre in 1983 to preserve the name of the high school. The centre offers the Tamil language elective programme under the National Elective Tamil Programme by the Ministry of Education.

HackerspaceSG is a 1,202-square-foot (111.7 m2) technology community center and hackerspace in Singapore. Predominantly an open working space for software projects, HackerspaceSG hosts a range of events from technology classes to biology, computer hardware, and manufacturing and is open to all types of hackers.

Jalan Besar Stadium, officially the Jalan Besar ActiveSG Stadium, is a football stadium located in Kallang, Singapore. The stadium is part of the Jalan Besar Sports and Recreation Centre, a community sports facility that includes the stadium as well as a swimming complex.It is the home ground of the Singapore Premier League club Young Lions. The stadium is also used as an alternative home ground to the National Stadium by the Singapore national football team.

The National Football Academy, commonly referred to as NFA, is a football academy based in Jalan Besar, Singapore. It was launched by the Football Association of Singapore on 13 August 2000 with the aim of developing Singapore's most promising young footballers. Trainees are scouted through a systematic talent identification process before being given the chance to develop their skills under some of the best youth coaches in the country. With teams at every age level from U-14 to U-18, the NFA co-ordinates the development of young Singaporean footballers at a national level through the domestic league system, international youth tournaments as well as overseas training attachments. The NFA Under-18 team is made up of promising Singaporean players under the age of 18 and serves as a feeder squad mainly to the Young Lions as well as other clubs in the Singapore Premier League. The FAS enters both the NFA Blues U-17 and NFA Reds U-18 teams in the Prime League, the official reserve league of the Singapore Premier League, to allow their players to gain more exposure and match experience by playing against older and more established players. The NFA U-15 and U-16 teams also participate in the annual Lion City Cup organised by the FAS since 2011. The NFA has produced many graduates who went on to represent the Singapore national team.

The New World Amusement Park (Chinese: 新世界) was the first of three amusement parks, along with Great World (estd. early 1930s) and Gay World (estd. 1936), that wooed Malaya and Singapore night crowds from the 1920s to the 1960s. New World was a prominent landmark along Jalan Besar, in modern-day Kallang planing area, as it occupied a large area of 45,000 square feet (4,200 m2) in size. Before the arrival of televisions and radios, it attracted people from all walks of life from labourers to Europeans with its exciting attractions such as striptease, cabaret girls, opera shows and boxing matches during its heyday. Of all the artistes and athletes who have performed at the New World through the years, four have left a lasting impression – striptease queen Rose Chan, wrestler King Kong, strongman Mat Tarzan, and boxer Felix Boy. With the advent of shopping centres, discos and, particularly, television in the ensuing decades, the park business gradually became poor, and it was finally closed for good after being sold to a property developer for redevelopment in 1987.

Central Sikh Temple is the first Sikh gurdwara in Singapore. Established in 1912, the temple had relocated several times before moving to its current site at Towner Road at the junction of Serangoon Road in Kallang in 1986 near Boon Keng MRT station. The gurdrawa is the main place of worship for the 15,000 Sikhs in the country, and is also known as Wada Gurdrawa.

Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya Temple (Chinese: 释迦牟尼菩提迦耶寺) is a Buddhist monastery in Singapore. The temple was originally set up by Venerable Vutthisara of Thailand. The present premises are located at Race Course Road in Singapore.

City Square Mall (Chinese: 城市广场; Pinyin: Chéng Shì Guǎng Chǎng) is Singapore's first eco-mall to be integrated with a 49,000 sq ft (4,600 m2) urban park named City Green, located within the planning area of Kallang. The mall sits on the site of Singapore's historic New World Amusement Park and is directly connected to Farrer Park MRT station. City Green is designed to provide a learning experience about ecology and the natural environment.City Square Mall is the first mall in Singapore awarded the Green Mark Platinum Award by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
