Grangetown Boys Club F.C.

Grangetown is an area in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England. The area is 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Middlesbrough and 4 miles (6.4 km) from south-west of Redcar.A ward covering the area had a population of 5,088 at the 2011 census. It is part of Greater Eston, which includes the area and the other centres of Eston, Normanby, South Bank, Teesville and part of Ormesby.

Eston Grange Power Station (also known as Teesside Low Carbon Project) was a proposed power station to be situated near to Eston in Redcar and Cleveland. If built, it would have been the UK's first pre-combustion carbon capture and storage (CCS) plant. The station could have generated up to 850 megawatts of electricity, enough to supply around a million people with electricity. The station would use standard oil refinery technology to turn gasified coal into hydrogen and carbon dioxide.The power station was not built following the cancellation of the UK's Carbon Capture and Storage competition in 2015.

Eston Town Hall was a municipal building in the Teesville area of Eston, in North Yorkshire, England. The building, which was the headquarters of Redcar and Cleveland District Council, was demolished in 2012.

South Bank F.C. were a football club based near Middlesbrough, England. The club claimed to have been founded in 1868, which would have made them one of the oldest football clubs in England.

Eston Park Academy (formerly Eston Park School) was a mixed academy and sixth form in Teesville, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. It merged with neighbouring Gillbrook Academy in September 2014 and now forms part of a new single Hillsview Academy. The new merged academy is run by the Academies Enterprise Trust (as were the two former schools). It had five houses: Durham, Lincoln, Ripon, York and Normanby (the house for the Sixth Form).

Outwood Academy Normanby (formerly Hillsview Academy) is a secondary school with academy status, located in the Teesville suburb of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. It has a mixed intake of boys and girls ages 11–18, with 600 pupils on roll as of 2019.The school is operated by Outwood Grange Academies Trust, and the current principal is Andrew Wappat.

Grangetown railway station served the township of Grangetown in the Borough of Redcar and Cleveland, North East England between 1885 and 1991 as a stop on the Tees Valley line.

Cleveland was a non-metropolitan county located in North East England which existed between 1974 and 1996. Cleveland was a two-tier county and had four boroughs: Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Langbaurgh-on-Tees. The county town was Middlesbrough, where Cleveland County Council met. The county was named after the historic area of Cleveland, Yorkshire. Its area is now split between the counties of North Yorkshire and County Durham. The county was abolished in 1996, with its constituent boroughs becoming unitary authorities. Hartlepool and the part of Stockton-on-Tees north of the River Tees became part of the County Durham, and the remainder became part of North Yorkshire. Some public bodies continue to cover the area of the former county, such as Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade. Cleveland bordered County Durham to the north and North Yorkshire to the south, with a coastline on the North Sea to the east. It had a total area of 225 square miles (583 km2).

The local authority ward covering the area (as well as Lackenby, Lazenby and Wilton) had a population of 7,005 at the 2011 census. It is part of Greater Eston, which includes the outlying settlements of Grangetown, Normanby, South Bank, Teesville and part of Ormesby.

Greater Eston is part of the Borough of Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England. The name is used by the borough council to describe the centres of Eston, Grangetown, Normanby, Ormesby, South Bank and Teesville.It had a population of 38,130 at the 2011 census and was included as part of the Teesside Built-up Area's Middlesbrough subdivision. The villages of Lackenby, Lazenby and Wilton are in the area however were not included in Middlesbrough.Until 1968, the majority of the area was the Eston Urban District, although Ormesby was in Stokesley Rural District. The former district's application for a town charter was declined twice.
