Staré Sedlo (German: Altsattl) is a municipality and village in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 800 inhabitants.

Elbogen (German: Elbogen), also the Loket Iron (Czech pronunciation: [ˈlokɛt]), is an iron meteorite that fell in the village of Loket, Karlovy Vary Region, Kingdom of Bohemia, about the year 1400. Also known during the Middle Ages as the "bewitched burgrave" of Elbogen, due to a cursed Count at the Elbogen castle, it is the oldest of 15 recorded falls in the Czech Republic. It has not survived to our time in its original size, having been cut for scientific purposes and its pieces sent to museums all around the world.

Loket Castle (Czech: Hrad Loket, German: Burg Elbogen) is a 12th-century Gothic castle in Loket in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It ls located on a massive rock, surrounded on three sides by the Ohře river. Once known as "the Impregnable Castle of Bohemia", because of its thick walls, it is one of the oldest stone castles in the country. It is administered by the Loket Castle Foundation since 1993 and preserved today as a museum and national monument.

Loket (Czech pronunciation: [ˈlokɛt]; German: Elbogen) is a town in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,100 inhabitants. The town is known for the Loket Castle, a 12th-century Gothic castle. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument reservation.

Nové Sedlo (German: Neusattl) is a town in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,600 inhabitants. It is known as an industrial town.

Těšovice (German: Teschwitz) is a municipality and village in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.

Chranišov (German: Granesau) is a village, part of the municipality of Nové Sedlo, in the Sokolov District of the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It is located to the south of Chodov.

The administrative district of the municipality with extended powers of Sokolov (abbreviated AD MEP Sokolov; Czech: Správní obvod obce s rozšířenou působností Sokolov, SO ORP Sokolov) is an administrative district of municipality with extended powers in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has existed since 1 January 2003, when the districts were replaced administratively. It includes 30 municipalities which have a combined population of almost 73,000.

Vintířov (German: Wintersgrün) is a municipality and village in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,200 inhabitants.

Hory (German: Horn) is a municipality and village in Karlovy Vary District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.

Stadion FK Baník Sokolov is a multi-purpose stadium in Sokolov, Czech Republic. It is mainly used for football matches and is the home ground of FK Baník Sokolov. The stadium holds 5,000 spectators, which, as of 2012, included 770 seated.
