West Jutland University College (Danish: Professionshøjskolen University College Vest) was one of eight new regional organizations of different study sites in Denmark (Danish: professionshøjskoler) offering bachelor courses of all kinds in the western part of Jutland. Profession School University College West was established 1. January 2008 in Esbjerg. Formerly known institution CVU Vest. Western University College has 3,000 students and employs 350 staff. In January 2011, the West Jutland University College merged with University College South and University College South Denmark with headquarters in Esbjerg. School is divided into three faculties - an educational, a health professional and a community professional. The institution educates bachelors following professions: Occupational therapist; Physiotherapist; Midwife; Teacher; Public administration; Pedagogue; Social worker; Nurse.

Esbjerg Sløjdhøjskole, previously known as Askov Sløjdlærerskole, is a folk high school in Esbjerg, Denmark which teaches handicrafts under the principles of sloyd. The school has been integrated into University College South Denmark.

Grundtvig's Church (Danish: Grundtvigskirken) is a modern church in Esbjerg in the southwest of Jutland, Denmark. Designed by Ole Nielsen of Lyngby, the building of dark red brick with a red-tiled roof was completed in 1969.

Esbjerg station (Danish: Esbjerg Banegård or Esbjerg Station) is the main railway station in the city of Esbjerg in southwest Jutland, Denmark. It is the terminal station on the Lunderskov–Esbjerg line and the Esbjerg–Struer line. The train services from the station are operated by DSB and Arriva, and the station serves destinations including Copenhagen, Aarhus and Ribe. The station was opened in 1874, and the present building, designed by Heinrich Wenck, was completed in 1904. With its three-storey towers flanking the central gable, it reflects a mixture of Historicist styles, some inspired by Dutch Renaissance architecture.

Established in 1979, it traces the history of the art of printing from the beginning of the 20th century until it was replaced by more rapid technologies. The collection includes a variety of equipment used to print books and newspapers, mainly from Germany and Denmark.

Esbjerg Museum in the centre of Esbjerg in southwest Jutland, Denmark, opened in 1941 with permanent collections covering the history of the city and the surrounding region. It includes displays from the Iron Age and the Viking Period as well as a large amber exhibition.

Syddansk Musikkonservatorium - Danish National Academy of Music, as it is now known, is located in Esbjerg, Denmark, opposite St Nikolaj Church. Founded in 1946 as a local private initiative, it was first known as Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium. In 1972, it was taken over by the national authorities.Since 1998, it has been located in the refurbished and modernized premises of a former power plant built in 1907. In January 2010, the Esbjerg conservatory was merged with two other Danish institutions: the conservatory in Odense (formerly known as the Det Fynske Musikkonservatorium/The Carl Nielsen Academy of Music, Odense), and the acting school in Odense (formerly known as Skuespillerskolen ved Odense Teater). As a result, the Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium/The Academy of Music and Music Communication became the Esbjerg branch of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Southern Denmark (AMDA).As a result of its excellent acoustics, the conservatory's concert hall (once the power station's turbine hall) with seating for 198 is considered to be one of Europe's best venues for chamber music. The complex also provides facilities for conferences and meetings which are used by a variety of cultural institutions and collaborators.

The Esbjerg Performing Arts Centre (Danish: Musikhuset Esbjerg) is a concert hall with theatrical facilities in the centre of Esberg in southwest Jutland, Denmark. Completed in 1997 to designs by the Utzons, it forms part of a complex which also contains the Esbjerg Art Museum. Its two auditoriums host classical concerts and drama productions.
