Wiveliscombe Town Hall

Wiveliscombe (, locally ) is a town and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated 9 miles (14 km) west of Taunton. The town has a population of 2,893. The Square, fronted by several listed structures, held the former market. The parish includes the nearby hamlet of Maundown.

Kingsmead School (KS) is a coeducational state school in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, England, serving the north-west of Taunton Deane district. It had 804 pupils between the ages of 11 and 16 years in 2013.The school was awarded Beacon School status in 1998 which was renewed in 2002. In September 2000, Kingsmead gained Language College status. In December 2009 Kingsmead received an Outstanding judgement from Ofsted and Good in 2013. In April 2011, Kingsmead became an Academy.

Abbotsfield is a country house and farm, to the west of the town of Wiveliscombe, Somerset, England. Built in 1872, it became a Grade II listed building a century later on 11 July 1975.

King's Castle is an Iron Age Hillfort 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) east of Wiveliscombe in Somerset, England. It is surrounded by two banks with a ditch between them. The inner wall ranges up to 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) high and the outer wall gets up to 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) high. Arrowheads, scrapers, and borers from as far back as the Neolithic period have been found at the site. A coin hoard of 1139 coins was found in a pot buried 0.30 metres (1 ft) deep.The site has been heavily damaged by repeated quarrying and ploughing.

Holme Moor & Clean Moor (grid reference ST095260) is a 10.8 hectare (26.7 acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Wiveliscombe in Somerset, notified in 1987. Holme Moor and Clean Moor support a range of habitats associated with high water tables. Swamp and calcareous flush plant communities with a very restricted distribution in Somerset are present. Further diversity is provided by areas of marshy grassland and broadleaved semi-natural woodland. An unusual feature of the ground flora is the abundance of Marsh-marigold (Caltha palustris).

Bathealton Court is a Grade II listed country house in Bathealton, Somerset, England. It was built in around 1766 and underwent significant alteration in around 1850. The north wing was demolished in the 1960s. It is a Grade II listed building.

Ruby Country is the name given to the rural inland hinterland of north-west Devon, UK. It covers 45 parishes around the market towns of Holsworthy and Hatherleigh. These two towns were at the centre of the 2001 Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak, and although agriculture was directly affected, most local businesses suffered considerable financial hardship. As a result, the Ruby Country Initiative was established, a not for profit partnership, to help create a more robust and sustainable local economy, and to create an identity for the area. The project is supported by a number of organisations: Devon County Council, Devon Renaissance, Devon Wildlife Trust, Forestry Commission, Hatherleigh Area Project, Holsworthy Market and Coastal Town Initiative, North Devon's Biosphere Reserve, Torridge District Council and West Devon Borough Council.
