The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is an American professional association of pediatricians, headquartered in Itasca, Illinois. It maintains its Department of Federal Affairs office in Washington, D.C.

Arlington Town Square is a retail and apartment development located in Arlington Heights. After a huge revamp and building boom, numerous new condominium, retail, office, and park spaces were built so improving the area. It is home to national retail and restaurant chains, along with local, independent business. The center is also home to the Arlington Theaters. Major stores and restaurants include Passero, Ann Taylor LOFT, Yankee Candle, Bath and Body Works, @properties, Sportsclips, Noodles & Company, and Starbucks Coffee.

The Arlington Heights Army Air Defense Site was a Project Nike Missile Master installation started in late 1959 after the United States Army had purchased 44 acres (18 ha).† Adjacent to the Arlington Heights Air Force Station, the Arlington Heights Army Installation opened on October 28, 1960, as the 8th of 10 Army Air Defense Command Posts (AADCP) to have a Martin AN/FSG-1 Antiaircraft Defense System installed for Nike-Hercules command and control. In addition to the Army's 2 AN/FPS-6 radars, the radars of the co-located USAF station provided AADCP data for the 45th Artillery Brigade's control of the Chicago-Gary Defense Area (10 missile batteries and their Integrated Fire Control sites).[1] The vacuum tube AN/FSG-1 was replaced c. October 1967* with a solid-state Hughes AN/TSQ-51 Air Defense Command and Coordination System, which controlled the combined Chicago-Milwaukee Defense Area after the Milwaukee Defense Area merged with Chicago-Gary in 1968. Project Concise ended the site's Nike operations in 1974, and 52 acres (21 ha) were transferred to the city parks district. A May 1979 golf course was built near the nuclear bunker—the Arlington Lakes Golf Club has 90 acres (36 ha) with 14 lakes.

Arlington Heights Air Force Station was a USAF general surveillance radar station 1.8 miles (2.9 km) south-southwest of Arlington Heights, Illinois. It was active from 1960 to 1969.

The American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians (D.O.) who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body (family physicians). The board is one 18 medical specialty certifying boards of the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and was established in 1972. As of April 2012, 6,344 osteopathic family physicians held active certification with the AOBFP.

Rolling Meadows High School, RMHS, is a public four-year high school located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Township High School District 214, the second largest high school district in Illinois, after Township High School District 211. The other five schools include Buffalo Grove High School, Elk Grove High School, John Hersey High School, Prospect High School, and Wheeling High School. It serves primarily central and east Rolling Meadows (east of Route 53), a significant part of Arlington Heights and a small part of Mount Prospect. Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) is a 489-bed acute care hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois, United States. Opened in 1959, the hospital serves 200,000 outpatients and 20,000 inpatients annually. The hospital operates a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level III NICU, a pediatric emergency department and a Primary Stroke Center. NCH has four Immediate Care locations in the northwest suburbs and operates a walk-in clinic in Palatine. NCH has a medical staff of more than 1,000 physicians, which includes the board-certified primary care doctors and specialists of the NCH Medical Group.

The International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) was a for-profit media arts college in the United States with over ten branches. It was owned by Career Education Corporation. The institution was briefly merged with Sanford-Brown in 2014 before being closed in 2015.

Legoland Discovery Center Chicago is an indoor family entertainment center located in The Streets of Woodfield shopping center in Schaumburg, Illinois. The attraction includes Lego-theme rides, a soft play area, a 4D cinema and a gift shop. Legoland Discovery Center Chicago is owned and operated by British leisure group Merlin Entertainments.

The Streets of Woodfield is a lifestyle center located at I-290 and Higgins Rd. in Schaumburg, Illinois, directly across from Woodfield Mall. McCaffery Interests, a Chicago-based real estate developer, rebuilt the mall into the present-day configuration as a shopping and entertainment mall anchored by Legoland Discovery Center, Restoration Hardware Outlet, and Dick's Sporting Goods. This lifestyle center also features outparcels across the street like Crate & Barrel and Whole Foods Market. There is also a 20-screen AMC Loews Streets of Woodfield 20. The lifestyle center is known throughout the area as a prominent shopping destination.
