The Jennie Bramhall House is a historic house located in northeast Portland, Oregon, United States. It is significant for its highly unusual combination of Queen Anne styling with cast concrete block construction. Built in 1908–1909, it is one of the finest remaining Queen Anne houses in the Albina district, and one of only a few cast concrete houses in that area.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Fred Tunturi House is a historic residence located in Portland, Oregon, United States. Built in 1922, it is the only well-preserved Craftsman bungalow in the Walnut Park district of Portland that exhibits two classic features of the bungalow type: a full-width porch and a low, continuous, gable roof.The house was entered on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Geneva's Shear Perfection Barber & Beauty Salon was a barber shop and salon in northeast Portland, Oregon's King neighborhood, in the United States. The shop was located along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and has been described as a "cornerstone" of the city's African-American community. Geneva's closed in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mallory Avenue Christian Church (also known as Alberta Abbey), located at 126 NE Alberta Street in Portland, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The structure is also being consider for Portland Historic Landmark status.

The Portland Observer is one of the oldest African-American newspapers in Oregon. Established in 1970, it is published weekly (on Wednesdays), in Portland, Oregon. Rev. Alfred L. Henderson founded the paper in the 1970s, in the tradition of the People's Observer, a 1940s publication that had ceased publication in 1950. That paper also originally went by the name of "Portland Observer."

The Dr Martin Luther King Jr School Museum of Contemporary Art (KSMoCA), formerly the King School Museum of Contemporary Art, is a contemporary art museum and a social practice art project at the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Elementary School, part of Portland Public Schools in Portland, Oregon. KSMoCA was founded by artists and Portland State University professors Lisa Jarrett and Harrell Fletcher in 2014. At KSMoCA, elementary school students interact with contemporary art and living artists on an everyday basis through exhibitions, workshops, lecture series, one-on-one mentorships, and other KSMoCA programs. Students get an opportunity to learn how a real art museum functions from the inside and are encouraged to actively co-create its activities by participating in different initiatives within the museum. Students create works with artists, curate exhibitions, organize art fairs, design posters, write press releases, etc.International Art Fair took place at KSMoCA in 2017. KSMoCA has a permanent collection of contemporary art housed in the school's hallways and a gallery with rotating exhibitions curated by students. In 2015, students curated Postcards from America, an exhibition featuring photographs from Magnum Photos.The Dr Martin Luther King Jr Elementary School is located in the King neighborhood, a historically African American neighborhood in Northeast Portland, and has a diverse student body with the third highest percentage of Black students among Portland public elementary schools. To better reflect the diverse student community and provide students with positive images of professionals who come from similar diverse backgrounds, KSMoCA prioritizes working with artists of color.

In Other Words Feminist Community Center was an independent non-profit feminist bookstore, community center and events space in Portland, Oregon. Its mission statement read: "In Other Words inspires and cultivates feminist community, nurturing social justice." Founded in 1993, it closed in 2018.

King is a neighborhood in the northeast section of Portland, Oregon, United States. Like many of the surrounding neighborhoods, King has historically had one of the highest proportions of non-white residents in the city. Census data taken 2010 show that the neighborhood was 60.1% white. King straddles Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from Ainsworth Street to Fremont and is at one end of the Alberta Arts District, a commercial district where locally owned shops, galleries, and cafés have brought new life. Once predominantly African-American, the neighborhood has rapidly gentrified since the 1990s and attracted more young, mostly white residents. It was previously an area of high crime rates related to gang activity, poverty, and the crack epidemic of the 1980–1990s. With its proximity to the Alberta Commercial Corridor, King is now seen as one of the more popular Portland neighborhoods with housing prices remaining above Portland average.

St. Andrew Catholic Church is located in northeast Portland, Oregon's King neighborhood, United States. The church hosts two Spanish-language and one Mayan-language mass weekly, as of 2017.

The Alfred J. and Georgia A. Armstrong House is a historic house in Portland, Oregon, United States. A modest but elaborate Queen Anne house built in 1894, it is one of very few intact examples of its type remaining from the early years of development in the King neighborhood. Likely constructed by one of its original occupants, a skilled carpenter, it exhibits more defining Queen Anne characteristics than other nearby houses of the same period, including a tower and the large quantity of jigsawed ornamentation. It was entered on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
