Dracut Senior High School is the public senior high school in the Merrimack Valley town of Dracut, Massachusetts, United States. The high school's colors are Columbia blue, navy blue and white. The team name is the Middies and the symbol is an anchor, or a “Block ‘D’”. These are references to midshipmen, as historically, the town was a place where U.S. Navy uniforms were created. The original Dracut High was built in the early 1950s and was frequently overcrowded, as roughly 1,600 students attend the school that was built for a fraction of that number, approximately 900. However, in 2011, the Massachusetts School Building Authority approved funding to construct a new Dracut High School. The majority of the project is completed as of October 2014.Dracut is known for their performing arts program, specifically for their show choir, a cappella vocal ensemble, and marching band.

Pawtucketville is a neighborhood and village within the city of Lowell, Massachusetts.The area was settled in the 1668 as Drawcott and was previously inhabited by the Pennacook tribe, and eventually "[t]he settlement that developed on the north side of the river was first called Pawtucket Village. The name Pawtucketville can be traced to the construction of the Merrimack-Middlesex Bridge at Pawtucket Falls in 1792, the first bridge that spanned the Merrimack River. On the north side of the bridge, a small village began to develop. This community was originally known as the Village at Pawtucket Falls or Pawtucket Village, and by the time of annexation in 1874, as Pawtucketville." Many notables institutions are located in the village, including Sampas Pavilion, Lowell General Hospital, Pawtucket Congregational Church (Lowell, Massachusetts), and Pawtucketville Memorial Elementary School.

Costello Athletic Center is a 2,000-seat multi-purpose arena located at 261 Riverside St. Lowell, Massachusetts. It is home to the University of Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks men's and women's basketball teams. On either side of the gymnasium there are bleachers overlooking the court for spectators to watch. In 2020, the building was renovated by Beacon Architectural Associates. The renovations include a new team room, expansion of the training room, and renovations to the locker room and bathrooms. The total cost was $3,048,000 and construction lasted for 6 months.

The Radiation Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Lowell serves the Department of Applied Physics among others. The laboratory contains the University of Massachusetts Lowell Research Reactor (UMLRR), a 1 MW pool-type research reactor that has been operating since 1974, along with a 300 kCi Co-60 gamma ray source and a 5.5 MV Van de Graaff accelerator.

The Lowell Technological Institute was a public college located in Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. It was founded in 1895 as the Lowell Textile School. Its campus is now part of the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

The Robert J. Manning School of Business is the business school at the University of Massachusetts Lowell located in Lowell, Massachusetts. The Manning School is accredited by AACSB International (AACSB).The school offers eight undergraduate majors along with MBA, MS, Ph.D., and graduate certificate programs. As of fall 2019, the school had 2,510 undergraduate students, and 1,529 graduate students, with 77 full-time faculty members.

The Pawtucket Congregational Church is a historic church at 15 Mammoth Road in Lowell, Massachusetts. It sits across Massachusetts Route 113 from the Merrimack River at Pawtucket Falls on the site at which the Pennacook sachem Passaconaway once lived. The church was gathered in 1797 by those who did not wish to travel to the center of Dracut for worship. Pawtucketville was part of Dracut when the church was founded. The current church building was erected in 1898, and exhibits Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival styling; its tower houses a bell cast by the Revere foundry in 1822. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.Pawtucket Congregational Church is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ.

Pawtucket Falls is a waterfall on the Merrimack River at Lowell, Massachusetts. The waterfall and rapids below it drop a total of 32 feet in a little under a mile, and was an important fishing ground for the Pennacook Indians in pre-colonial times.

Beaver Brook is a 30.7-mile-long (49.4 km) river located in New Hampshire and Massachusetts in the United States. It is a tributary of the Merrimack River, part of the Gulf of Maine watershed. Beaver Brook rises in Chester, New Hampshire, and flows south into Derry, passing through Harantis Lake, Adams Pond, and Beaver Lake. Continuing south, the brook forms the boundary between Londonderry and Windham, then flows through Pelham. The brook crosses the state line into Dracut, Massachusetts, and reaches the Merrimack River in the city of Lowell. Most of the brook's course is through gently hilly terrain that is rapidly being converted into suburban land use.

WUML (91.5 FM) is a non-commercial college radio station licensed to Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. The station is owned by the University of Massachusetts Lowell. The transmitter is atop Fox Hall on Pawtucket Street in Lowell.

Kenneth R. Fox Hall, also known as Fox Hall, is a residence hall and student dining facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. It is within the residence hall cluster on the East Campus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell. At 18 stories and 226 feet in height, it is the tallest building in the city of Lowell. When it was built, it was known as the Lowell Technical Institute Dormitory. The building is home to more than 800 students and UMass Lowell's largest student-dining hall, Fox Dining Commons. The transmitter for the university's radio station, WUML, is located at Fox Hall.The building is also the sixth-tallest tower residence hall in the University of Massachusetts system, as it is 18 stories, four shorter than the five, 22-story tower residence halls in the Southwest Residential Area at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

St. Joseph's Convent and School is a historic convent and school at 517 Moody Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. The school is a three-story brick building built in 1883. Its Italianate styling includes an extended wooden cornice decorated with brackets. The convent, built in 1911, is a modestly-ornmanented Colonial Revival three story brick building. Most of the interiors of the buildings were significantly altered over the course of the 20th century, losing most of their historical integrity; however, a 2001 rehabilitation has reintroduced interior styling in keeping with the age and style of the buildings.The parish of St. Joseph was established in 1868 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, to cater to the religious needs of the burgeoning French-Canadian Catholic population that was one of the significant demographic groups working in Lowell's mills. The school was established by the diocese in 1883 to provide French-language education to the children of these immigrants, with nuns of the Grey Nuns of the Cross as teachers. The nuns initially lived in a house on the property. By the 1890s enrollments had increased such that more space was needed, and the Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic College for Boys was built on Merrimack Street, and this school was devoted to girls. The convent was built in 1911 to provide increased space for housing of the nuns teaching at these facilities. The St. Joseph's school eventually spawned three other Catholic schools in Lowell. However, by the 1980s enrollments had declined, and the school was closed in 1993. The buildings have been rehabilitated by a local nonprofit organization. The buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
