Chiwaukee Prairie is a 485-acre (1.96 km2) prairie in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (about midway between Chicago and Milwaukee). It is located on Lake Michigan at the Illinois state line and includes grassy wetlands, wooded areas, and the Kenosha Sand Dunes at its northern tip. It is home to an abundance of wildlife. It was designated a Wisconsin State Natural Area in 1967 and a National Natural Landmark in 1973. Together with surrounding areas, and south to Illinois Beach State Park, the prairie is part of an internationally recognized wetland of importance under the Ramsar Convention, called the Chiwaukee Illinois Beach Lake Plain.

The Kenosha Sand Dunes form the northern tip of the Chiwaukee Prairie Natural Area. They are one of the few remaining dune systems in Southeastern Wisconsin. They run for a half mile along Lake Michigan just to the south of Kenosha's Southport Park and are bounded on the west by 7th Avenue. The area near the shoreline has gently rolling sand dunes covered with grasses and sparse vegetation. Further west, the dunes have marshy ponds surrounded by cattails and mature trees.

North Point Marina State Recreation Area is an Illinois state park on 297 acres (120 ha) in Lake County, Illinois, United States. It has 1,500 slips for the mooring of boats.

The Henry I. Paddock House is a historic house at 346 Sheridan Road in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. Built in 1860 by Henry I. Paddock, the house is the oldest in Winthrop Harbor. The house was designed in the Italianate style, a popular choice in the 1850s and 1860s. Its design includes a front-facing gable and tall, thin windows topped with arches, both typical Italianate elements; it originally included two Italianate porches as well. The house was remodeled in 1884 to add Queen Anne elements, including a bay window with wood detailing and stained glass transoms above the doors.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 30, 2001.

The Southport Beach House is a historic public building completed in 1940 at Southport Park on Lake Michigan in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

George Nelson Tremper High School is a high school located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Part of the Kenosha Unified School District, it was named after George Nelson Tremper, the principal of Kenosha High School from 1911 to 1944. The mascot of Tremper High School is the Trojan.

Winthrop Harbor is a station on Metra's Union Pacific North Line located in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. It is located on 7th Street, one block east of Ravine Drive. Winthrop Harbor is 44.5 miles (71.6 km) away from Ogilvie Transportation Center, the inbound terminus of the Union Pacific North Line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Winthrop Harbor is in zone I. As of 2018, Winthrop Harbor is the 206th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 59 weekday boardings.Winthrop Harbor is located at grade level and has two side platforms that serve two tracks. It is the northernmost Metra station in the State of Illinois. A parking lot is situated on the west side of the station. As of April 25, 2022, Winthrop Harbor is served by twelve trains (six in each direction) on weekdays, by twelve trains (five inbound, seven outbound) on Saturdays, and by six trains (three in each direction) on Sundays.

Simmons Field is a baseball stadium in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It was the home field of the Kenosha Comets of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL), and is currently home to the Kenosha Kingfish of the Northwoods League, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers NCAA Division II baseball team, and the semi-pro Kenosha Kings.

St. Joseph High School was a Catholic high school located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It served students in grades 9 through 12. On July 1, 2010, it was merged along with St. Mark Elementary School and St. Joseph Interparish Jr. High into St. Joseph Catholic Academy.

St. Joseph Catholic Academy is a Catholic elementary and secondary parochial school in Kenosha, Wisconsin, created on July 1, 2010 as a result of the merging of St. Mark Elementary School, St. Joseph Interparish Junior High School, and St. Joseph High School. The school serves students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade.

The Kenosha County Library System (KCLS) is the southeastern-most of 15 public library systems in Wisconsin, serving Kenosha County. Along with the Milwaukee County Federated Library System (MCFLS), it is one of only two single-county public library organizations in the state. The KCLS has two members, the Kenosha Public Library (KPL) serving the city of Kenosha, and the Community Library, which serves the town of Randall and the villages of Paddock Lake, Salem Lakes, and Twin Lakes.
