8th & K station is a northbound-only Sacramento RT Light Rail station in Downtown Sacramento, California. The station was built as part of the 2007 extension of the light rail system to Sacramento Valley Station. The station is located one block away from the St. Rose of Lima Park station, served by northbound Blue Line trains. There was previously a southbound station at 7th & K, but it was closed due to its close proximity to the 7th & Capitol station. 8th & K station serves the Golden 1 Center, nearby downtown office buildings and Downtown Commons (formerly Downtown Plaza), an entertainment and shopping complex that anchors the arena.

Sacramento First Congregational Church, (Pioneer Congregational Church) was the first church in Sacramento, California founded in 1849. The site of the First Congregational Church building is a California Historical Landmark No. 612 listed on May 22, 1957. The first church in Sacramento was founded in 1849 by Rev. Joseph A. Benton. Benton was the pastor from 1849 to 1863. The Church building was at 915 6th Street, built in 1854. A cornerstone ceremony was held on September 21, 1854. Before the church building was built the Church used a small one-room schoolhouse on the northwest corner of I and 3rd Streets, 303 I Street, in Old Sacramento. The attendees at the founding were mostly Swiss and German settlers of Sutter's Fort and New Helvetia. The church grew with the California Gold Rush pioneers coming to California. The site is now an office building on L Street. In 1926 Pioneer Congregational Church built a new church building, its third building, at 2700 L street, that is still in used.

Renaissance Tower is a 113 m (371 ft) skyscraper in Sacramento, California, completed in 1989. The 28 story tower was the tallest in the city when completed, and is now the fifth. At one time owned by USAA Real Estate Company, the building was sold in January 2016 to GPT Properties Trust of Maryland.

Designed by George C. Sellon, the first state architect of California who designed many notable buildings during the first half of the 20th century.

The site is California Historical Landmark No. 869, registered on January 11, 1974. At the northwest corner of 7th Street and I Street, 651 I Street, Sacramento was a building that served as California's State Capitol. The first period was January 16, 1852 to May 4, 1852, and the second period was from March 1, 1854, to May 15, 1854, with the California State Legislature third and fifth sessions. The 651 I Street building was the Sacramento County courthouse. The site of former California State Capitol - Sacramento County courthouse is now the Main Sacramento County Jail built in 1989. A California Historical marker was place at the site in 2007 by California State Parks working the Sacramento Trust for Historic Preservation.

The Sacramento County Jail is one of the county jails for the Sacramento County area of the US State of California, serviced by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. It is located on 651 I Street, approximately 100 meters from Downtown Commons. Completed in 1989, the jail complex includes the Lorenzo Patiño Hall of Justice of the Sacramento County Superior Court. The jail replaces the Sacramento County Sheriff's Jail, formerly located at 620 I Street, which was demolished after the completion of this complex in 1989.The jail has been operating under a federal consent decree since 1993.

Golden 1 Center is an indoor arena, located in downtown Sacramento, California, United States. It sits partially on the site of the former Downtown Plaza shopping center. The publicly owned arena is part of a business and entertainment district called Downtown Commons (DoCo), which includes a $250 million 16-story mixed-use tower. The arena, which replaced ARCO Arena as the home of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association, hosts concerts, conventions and other sporting and entertainment events. Capacity is expandable to about 19,000 to accommodate concert audiences. Thirty-four luxury suites were sold to include all events year-round. Suite partners have access to three exclusive clubs on the premium level including two skyboxes that overlook the concourse and have a direct view of the outside. In addition to the luxury suites, there are also 48 loft-style suites.

Frank Fat's is an American Chinese cuisine restaurant in Sacramento, California founded in 1939 by a Chinese immigrant who called himself "Frank Fat" and who came to the United States illegally in 1919. The original restaurant is one of four now owned by the Fat family.Frank Fat's celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2019, and is the oldest restaurant still operating in Sacramento. The restaurant has a long-standing reputation as a place where influential California politicians come to drink, dine and negotiate with lobbyists in private, and it also serves a well-known banana cream pie. The restaurant has won two major culinary awards.

Park Tower is a 380-foot (120 m) skyscraper in Sacramento, California, completed in 1991. The 26-story tower was the tallest in the city when completed. The building was named U.S. Bank Plaza until U.S. Bank moved to U.S. Bank Tower in 2008. Previously owned by the Shorenstein Company, the building was bought by Hines in 2017.

Downtown Commons (or DOCO), formerly known as Sacramento Downtown Plaza, Westfield (Shoppingtown) Downtown Plaza and Downtown Plaza, is a two-level outdoor mixed-use entertainment and shopping complex operated by JMA Ventures, LLC, located along the alignment of K Street (also known as David J. Stern Walk between 5th and 7th Streets) in downtown Sacramento, California, United States, near the State Capitol building. The complex is bordered by J Street to the north, L Street to the south, 7th Street to the east and 4th Street to the west. Downtown Commons' previous format was a mainly two-level outdoor shopping mall commonly known as Downtown Plaza, despite numerous official name changes over the years. The majority of the site has been redeveloped, centering on the Golden 1 Center, home of the NBA's Sacramento Kings. The section between 5th and 7th Streets was demolished in 2014 to make room for the Golden 1 Center, as well as The Sawyer, a 250-room boutique hotel operated by Kimpton Hotels immediately north of the arena site. The remaining standing section between 4th and 5th Streets was also redeveloped a few years later in association with the arena project.
