Hradec Králové (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦradɛts ˈkraːlovɛː] ; German: Königgrätz) is a city of the Czech Republic. It has about 94,000 inhabitants. It is the capital of the Hradec Králové Region. The historic centre of Hradec Králové is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument reservation, the wider centre is protected as an urban monument zone.

The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit (Czech: Katedrála svatého Ducha) is a principal church of the Diocese of Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic and also the seat of the current bishop of the Diocese Jan Vokál. It is a late Gothic brick basilica with two towers, which is located in the southwestern corner of the Velké Square in Hradec Králové.

The White Tower (Czech: Bílá věž) is the tallest dominant of the city Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic. From the tower's galleries there is a unique view not only of Hradec Králové, but also of the distant peaks of the Giant Mountains and the Orlické Mountains. In recent years the tower came back to life with the exhibitions and became the center of tourism and cultural events. The White Tower houses the third largest and heaviest bell in the Czech Republic – the Augustine Bell.

The Museum of Eastern Bohemia (Czech: Muzeum východních Čech) is a museum and historic landmark in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. It was designed by Jan Kotěra, a prominent Czech architect of the early 20th century. The East Bohemian Museum was built in 1909–1912. Kotěra's initial design, presented in 1907, was criticized for its exaggerated decoration and luxurious design. Moreover, the city did not have sufficient funds for such a grandiose design. Consequently, Kotěra created a new design that was finished in 1908.

ČPP Arena, is an arena in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. It is primarily used for ice hockey, and is the home to the Mountfield HK of the Czech Extraliga. It opened in 1957 and holds 6,890 spectators.

The University of Hradec Králové (in Czech Univerzita Hradec Králové, UHK; in Latin Universitas Reginaegradecensis) is a public university in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, founded on 21 June 2000. It traces its roots back to 1959. The university has about 6,000 students, and the current rector is Jan Kříž.

LMS Center (Language-Mind-Society Center) (Czech: LMS Centrum) is a centre for the study of language, mind and society established at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, EU in 2009 with support from the ESF. The centre’s goal is support of interdisciplinary research connecting philosophy with neighbouring sciences whose results are relevant to uncovering the nature and principles of the mind, language and society.

The Orlice (German: Adler, Polish: Orlica) is a river in the Czech Republic, with a brief stretch in Poland. It is a left tributary of the Elbe River. It flows through the Hradec Králové Region. It is formed by the confluence of the Divoká Orlice and Tichá Orlice rivers. Together with the Divoká Orlice, which is its main source, the Orlice is 132.2 km (82.1 mi) long, of which 129.0 km (80.2 mi) is in the Czech Republic, making it the 14th longest river in the country. Without the Divoká Orlice, it is 32.9 km (20.4 mi) long.

Malšovická aréna is a football stadium, in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. The stadium has a capacity of 9,300 people and is one of the most modern football stadiums in the Czech Republic. FC Hradec Králové, which plays in the Czech First League, uses the stadium for its home matches. With a capacity of 9,300 seats, the arena is one of the largest football stadiums in the Czech Republic.

Hradec Králové Observatory (Czech: Hvězdárna Hradec Králové) is part astronomical observatory and part planetarium. Also housed in the same building are the Institute of Atmospheric Physics and the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. It is located on the southern outskirts of Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic, and was founded in 1961.

Hradec Králové Airport is a public domestic and private international airport located about 3 km (1 mi) from Hradec Králové, in east Bohemia, Czech Republic in the town of Hradec Králové. There are currently no scheduled commercial flights operating to or from the airport, although it is sometimes visited by private jet traffic. The airport can handle all aircraft categories. In the 2010 was visited by Boeing 737-300 of Czech Connect Airlines on the VFR base training. For years the airport has hosted Open Skies for handicapped individuals in June and the Czech International Air Festival in September.
