St. Isidore Catholic Church, is a historic church in Los Alamitos, California. It is the oldest building in the city one of the oldest in Orange County, being built in 1933. It has not held services since 1999, and is planned to be a part of an upcoming community center. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Los Alamitos (Spanish for 'The Little Cottonwoods') is a city in Orange County, California. The city was incorporated in March 1960. The population was 11,780 at the 2020 census, up from 11,449 at the 2010 census. The adjacent unincorporated community of Rossmoor uses the same 90720 ZIP code in its mailing address, but is not part of the city. The Los Alamitos Race Course is named for the city, but lies in the neighboring city of Cypress. The USA Water Polo National Aquatic Center is located on the Joint Forces Training Base - Los Alamitos.

Los Alamitos High School (also known as Los Al) is a public school for grades 9 to 12 located in Los Alamitos, California, and also serving the city of Seal Beach and the community of Rossmoor. It is the only traditional high school in the Los Alamitos Unified School District; the far smaller Laurel High School serves as a continuation school and as the district office site. Both Oak Middle School and McAuliffe Middle School feed into Los Alamitos High.

El Dorado Park Estates is a neighborhood in Long Beach, California. It was developed by S&S Construction, now known as Shapell Industries, beginning in 1963. The company was co-founded by David Shapell, Nathan Shapell, and Max Webb in 1955. It was the first large neighborhood to be developed by the company. Douglas A. Newcomb Academy opened to 300 students in September, 1963.

Rossmoor is a planned census-designated place located in Orange County, California. As of the 2020 census, the CDP had a total population of 10,625 up from the 2010 census population of 10,244. The gated Leisure World retirement community in the city of Seal Beach is to the south of Rossmoor, Los Alamitos is to the east and north, and Long Beach is to the west (on the other side of the San Gabriel River, the 605 freeway and the border with Los Angeles County). The community of Rossmoor has two shopping centers within its boundaries, but only one—the Rossmoor Village Square, is now within the political boundaries of Rossmoor. A larger shopping center, the Rossmoor Business Center, was annexed, despite many protests, by the City of Seal Beach in 1967. The Center has been remodeled several times and was renamed the Shops at Rossmoor in the early 2000s.

Joint Forces Training Base - Los Alamitos is a joint base in Los Alamitos, California, United States. Formerly operated as a naval air station, the base contains the Los Alamitos Army Airfield and is sometimes called by that name. The base is also known as JFTB - Los Al or just JFTB. The base covers 1,319 acres and "supports 850 full-time employees and more than 6,000 National Guard and Reserve troops."

Los Alamitos Race Course is a horse racing track in Cypress, California. The track hosts both thoroughbred and quarter horse racing. The track has the distinction of holding four quarter horse stakes races with purses over $1 million, more than any other track in the United States. Although the track is geographically located in the city of Cypress, it has a Los Alamitos postal address (ZIP Code 90720). Los Alamitos lies just across Katella Avenue to the south. Michael Wrona is the track announcer.

Coyote Creek is a principal tributary of the San Gabriel River in northwest Orange County and southeast Los Angeles County, California. It drains a land area of roughly 41.3 square miles (107 km2) covering eight major cities, including Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, Hawaiian Gardens, La Habra, Lakewood, La Palma, and Long Beach. Some major tributaries of the creek in the highly urbanized watershed include Brea Creek, Fullerton Creek, and Carbon Creek. The mostly flat creek basin is separated by a series of low mountains, and is bounded by several small mountain ranges, including the Chino Hills, Puente Hills, and West Coyote Hills.

Hawaiian Gardens is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is the smallest city in the county in area (approximately 1.0 mi2) and was incorporated on April 9, 1964. The population was 14,254 at the 2010 census, down from 14,779 at the 2000 census. The city's unusual name originated with a 1920s refreshment stand that was decorated with palm fronds and bamboo. It was the then-rural area's main landmark for many years, and its name stuck as the small town grew up around it. As one of seven Los Angeles County cities that allow casino gambling, more than $9.2 million (65%) of the city's revenue comes from the Gardens Casino.

The Gardens Casino is a cardroom casino located in Hawaiian Gardens, California. The casino was founded in 1997 and only offers card games. The casino started with a space of 59,900 square feet. In 2016, the casino underwent a $90 million renovation and expanded to 200,000 square feet.In 2017, the casino faced a possible loss of license after admitting it failed to follow federal anti-money laundering laws. Keith Sharp, the Gardens Casino’s general counsel, stated managers have taken responsibility for the failure and "have made tremendous steps in improving our programs".On December 5, 2019 California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced a $3.1 million settlement with Hawaiian Gardens Casino for “misleading gambling regulators and violating the Bank Secrecy Act.” The settlement was in addition to the $2.8 million penalty imposed on the casino by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. The casino was also required to complete a 24-month compliance period to meet the terms of the settlement. The television webcast show, Poker Night in America, has hosted shows at the casino with an upcoming live show set to be broadcast in March 2018.

Rancho Estates is a neighborhood in Long Beach, California. It was designed by Cliff May and Chris Choate and completed between 1953 and 1954. The neighborhood was built by developer Ross Cortese, who also developed nearby Rossmoor and Leisure World. There are 700 homes in the neighborhood.The ranch homes in this neighborhood originally sold for around $12,000. Prices now reach up to $1.95 million.

Oxford Academy, sometimes stylized as OA, is a public school in Cypress, California serving grades 7–12 as part of the Anaheim Union High School District. As of 2023, the school was ranked #1 for the best high schools in California by U.S. News & World Report, as well as #9 for the best U.S. high schools.
