Gardens Casino

Hawaiian Gardens is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is the smallest city in the county in area (approximately 1.0 mi2) and was incorporated on April 9, 1964. The population was 14,254 at the 2010 census, down from 14,779 at the 2000 census. The city's unusual name originated with a 1920s refreshment stand that was decorated with palm fronds and bamboo. It was the then-rural area's main landmark for many years, and its name stuck as the small town grew up around it. As one of seven Los Angeles County cities that allow casino gambling, more than $9.2 million (65%) of the city's revenue comes from the Gardens Casino.

Long Beach Towne Center is a large power center in northeastern Long Beach, California at Carson St. and the I-605, with 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) of retail space on a 100-acre (40 ha) site. It is the largest shopping center in Long Beach.

Artesia High School is a public high school in Lakewood, California, with a student population of around 1,500. It is one of the five high schools in the ABC Unified School District.

El Dorado Park Estates is a neighborhood in Long Beach, California. It was developed by S&S Construction, now known as Shapell Industries, beginning in 1963. The company was co-founded by David Shapell, Nathan Shapell, and Max Webb in 1955. It was the first large neighborhood to be developed by the company. Douglas A. Newcomb Academy opened to 300 students in September, 1963.

Ernest S. McBride Sr. High School is a high school in the Long Beach Unified School District. It was built in 2013. The McBride mascot is the Wolves and its school colors are Blue and Silver. The school is named after civil rights activist Ernest McBride, Sr.

Los Alamitos High School (also known as Los Al) is a public school for grades 9 to 12 located in Los Alamitos, California, and also serving the city of Seal Beach and the community of Rossmoor. It is the only traditional high school in the Los Alamitos Unified School District; the far smaller Laurel High School serves as a continuation school and as the district office site. Both Oak Middle School and McAuliffe Middle School feed into Los Alamitos High.

Rancho Estates is a neighborhood in Long Beach, California. It was designed by Cliff May and Chris Choate and completed between 1953 and 1954. The neighborhood was built by developer Ross Cortese, who also developed nearby Rossmoor and Leisure World. There are 700 homes in the neighborhood.The ranch homes in this neighborhood originally sold for around $12,000. Prices now reach up to $1.95 million.

Don Knabe Community Regional Park, previously known as Cerritos Community Regional Park, is an urban park in Cerritos, California. It contains a few large sculptures, two fishing lakes, and many other amenities.The park was retitled to its current name on November 30, 2016, to honor the former supervisor Don Knabe. It was recommended by former mayor and supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

Pat Nixon Park is a neighborhood park in Cerritos, California, named for the late First Lady Pat Nixon (1912-1993). The 4-acre (1.6 ha) park occupies the site of the former First Lady's childhood home and truck farm, where she lived from 1914 until 1931, a Senior Center that now sits on the site of the home after it was destroyed by a fire in 1978, and the Patricia Nixon Elementary School.

Pioneer is a planned light rail station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. It will be the southern terminus of the West Santa Ana Branch Transit Corridor project, located in Artesia at Pioneer Boulevard. The segment of the corridor is expected to begin operations in 2035. The route may later on be further expanded along the West Santa Ana right-of-way, but Metro has not yet announced any plans to do so. The station is located adjacent to the former Pacific Electric West Santa Ana Branch Artesia station, built in 1906. Passenger services operated until 1950.

The Holy Family Catholic Church is a Catholic church located in Artesia, California. Established in 1930, it holds masses in English, Spanish, Tagalog, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese. It is named after the Holy Family of Jesus and is a part of the San Pedro Pastoral Region in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The church also contains a school, Our Lady of Fatima (OLF), named after one of Mary, mother of Jesus' titles. As of 2014, it has over 15,000 active parish members and 80% of the mass attendees are Filipino as of 2019. Rev. John Ernesto Ma. Cordero, MMHC, currently serves as its pastor. Its logo reads "Go, Therefore, and Make Disciples of All Nations...," quoting Matthew 28:19.

St. Isidore Catholic Church, is a historic church in Los Alamitos, California. It is the oldest building in the city one of the oldest in Orange County, being built in 1933. It has not held services since 1999, and is planned to be a part of an upcoming community center. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
