Bonner Platz station

Bonner Platz, 1906 named after the city of Bonn, is a square in the Schwabing district of Munich, in the Schwabing-West quarter. The underground station of the same name Bonner Platz of the line U3 is located here.The following streets flows into the square (clockwise): from the west the Karl-Theodor-Straße, from the north the Bonner Straße, from the North East corner of the square to the east the Rheinstraße, from the South East Corner of the square to the east Karl-Theodor-Straße and to the south Viktoriastraße. The square is crossed diagonally by the western Karl-Theodor-Straße and the Rheinstraße, which merge into each other here and belong to the busy city tangent Dietlindenstraße - Potsdamer Straße - Rheinstraße - Karl-Theodor-Straße - Ackermannstraße. In contrast, the eastern Karl-Theodor-Straße is of secondary importance; it crosses the aforementioned through road and becomes Bonner Straße. In addition, there are narrow car park access roads on the northern, eastern and southern sides.As a result of the traffic routing described, the majority of the square is occupied by traffic areas. There are also parking spaces and two traffic islands (meadow with some trees).

It is a popular tourist attraction, especially during winter when one of Munich's largest Christmas markets takes place. The square's Munich U-Bahn station is Münchner Freiheit. A German pop group, Münchener Freiheit, derived their name from the location, and have retained the original spelling.

The Erlöserkirche (Church of the Redeemer) is the oldest Lutheran church in Schwabing, part of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The full name is Evangelisch-Lutherische Erlöserkirche. It was built from 1899 to 1901 on a design by Theodor Fischer, in a style combining historicism and Jugendstil.

Münchner Freiheit is a Munich U-Bahn interchange station in the Munich borough of Schwabing-Freimann. Here, the U3 and U6 subway lines part, with U3 continuing west towards Scheidplatz and U6 continuing north towards Freimann. The station serves as a major interchange for northern Munich. Underground, the station consists of two island platforms, each servicing two tracks. On the surface, a bus and tram terminal is located on the corner of Leopoldstraße and Feilitschstraße. This is the southern terminus of route of the Munich tramway, which opened in 2009 and continues north towards the Parkstadt Schwabing office and residential development.

The Blow Up (1967–1972) was a famous nightclub in Munich and Germany's first large-scale discotheque. During its existence, the nightclub was the favorite topic of magazines and daily newspapers because of countless happenings, drug stories and its psychedelic light projections. The British Pathé described the club as being "the hottest and most expensive happening center in West Germany. It's wild, it's way-out, it's with it, it's got everything."
