Lesignano de' Bagni (Parmigiano: Lezgnàn di Bagn) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) west of Bologna and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Parma. Of note in the town is the Romanesque church and monastery comprising the Abbazia di San Basilide in the neighborhood of San Michele Cavana.

Torrechiara Castle (Italian: Castello di Torrechiara) is a 15th-century castle near Langhirano, in the province of Parma, northern Italy. It sits atop a terraced hill south of the city of Parma, in a strategic position overlooking the Parma River in the valley below. The castle was commissioned by Pier Maria II de' Rossi, the fourth count of San Secondo, and built between 1448 and 1460. The fortress shows the influence of the castles of the House of Sforza, particularly Visconti-Sforza Castle. The castle is managed by the Polo Museale dell'Emilia Romagna since 2015.

Parigi is an Italian village and hamlet (frazione) of Felino, a municipality in the province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. The toponym derives from the French capital city, Paris, which in Italian is Parigi. In 2009, it had a population of 21. The village located on a side road of the provincial highway SP32, named Via Ilario Bragazzi. Composed by some farmhouses, it is close to Cinghio creek and to the villages of San Michele Tiorre, Ca' Cotti and La Resga. It is 1.6 km far from Pilastro, 1.2 from Calicella (both hamlets of Langhirano), 3 from Felino, and 17 from the city centre of Parma.

San Michele Tiorre, also known as Tiorre, is an Italian village and the major hamlet (frazione) of Felino, a municipality in the province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. As of 2009 its population was 1,495.

The Abbey of San Basilide (Italian: Abbazia di San Basilide, also known as Badia Cavana, is a former Vallombrosan monastery and church located in the neighborhood of San Michele Cavana of the town of Lesignano de' Bagni, Province of Parma, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Neviano degli Arduini (Parmigiano: Nevian di Arduèn) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) west of Bologna and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Parma. In the communal territory is the Romanesque Pieve di Sasso, a national monument. This stone pieve (parish church) was built in the 11th century. Its reconstruction around 1080 is traditionally attributed to Matilda of Tuscany. It is a church with a nave and two aisles, built in rough stone. Notable is the façade, parted by thin pilasters and a medieval portal. It houses a sculpted baptismal font with octagonal plan, and figures of the Evangelists. Other notable buildings include the church of Sant'Ambrogio a Bazzano.

The Rocca Sanvitale or Sanvitale Castle of Sala Baganza is a fortress/palatial residence located on Piazza Gramsci #1, overlooking the small town of Sala Baganza, just southwest of Parma, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It is distinct from the more-visited moated castle of Rocca Sanvitale, Fontanellato. The structure was initially a walled fortress built in 1477 by Gilberto III Sanvitale. Originally the fortress had a walled internal courtyard with surrounding wings and towers, of which only a single one remains. In 1612 a putative conspiracy to depose Ranuccio I Farnese led to the execution of major feudal lords of the Duchy, including the countess of Colorno, Barbara Sanseverino, and her son Girolamo Sanvitale, the Farnese confiscated the properties of the Sanvitale family. They proceeded to refurbish his property, commissioning frescoes from Orazio Samacchini, Bernardino Campi and Cesare Baglione. Adjacent and to the North of the palace is the Assunta oratory, commissioned by Ferdinand of Bourbon in 1795. A villa surrounded by forests, located about a mile Northwest was the Casino dei Boschi, often used in the first half of the 19th century by Marie Louise, Duchess of Parma. To the south of the Rocca is a walled and geometrically traced grid of paths around a circular pool. This garden was putatively designed by Ennemond Alexandre Petitot, the architect for Phillip of Bourbon, Duke of Parma. Petitot designed this as an orchard with fruit trees. In 2009, an attempt to restore its original structure was performed, funded by the Comune of Sala Baganza, by replanting similar fruit trees to those which would have been present in the duchal orchard. The site now also houses a museum of local wine production.

Traversetolo (Parmigiano: Travarsèddol) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) west of Bologna and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of Parma. Traversetolo borders the following municipalities: Canossa, Lesignano de' Bagni, Montechiarugolo, Neviano degli Arduini, Parma, San Polo d'Enza.

San Vitale is a Roman Catholic parish church located in the San Vitale neighborhood of Sala Baganza, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The Neoclassical church houses altarpieces by Giuseppe Peroni, including a Madonna between Santi Gregorio and Vitale. A small parish church at the site is first mentioned by the year 1005. By 1142, the church and the nearby castle and hamlet belonged to the Abbey of San Giovanni Evangelista of Parma. In the 18th century, a bell-tower was erected, but this and the church were partially ruined by an earthquake on 14 February 1834. The church was rebuilt using designs of Lorenzo Raschi, with work completed by 1841. The facade was designed by Luigi Bianchi, and completed in 1868. The facade statuary, attributed to Agostino Ferrarini, was added in 1885. On 23 December 2008, an earthquake again damaged the building, and restructuring and restoration was completed in 2012.

VisLab is an Italian company working on computer vision and environmental perception for vehicular applications. It was founded in the early 90s as a research laboratory at University of Parma. It started its activities in 1990, with its involvement in the Eureka PROMETHEUS Project. Since then the research group has focused on vehicular applications. VisLab, directed by Alberto Broggi, undertakes basic and applied research, including the perception of the surrounding environment in vehicular applications using cameras and fusion with other sensors. Its researchers contribute to fields such as artificial vision, image processing, machine learning, neural networks, robotics, and sensor fusion.In 2009, eleven VisLab researchers started a spinoff company, named VisLab srl, to commercialize the results of their main researches. The University of Parma owned a share of 5%. In 2015, VisLab was acquired by Silicon Valley company Ambarella Inc., and about 30 researchers asked and then were hired by VisLab to staff their new Parma location.
