The Puustellinmetsä mass grave was a mass grave that was located in Puustellinmetsä, Suutarila, Helsinki, Finland. It was created during the Finnish civil war in 1918. The remains of the bodies in the grave were transferred to the Malmi Cemetery in 1971.

Suutarila (Swedish: Skomakarböle) is a subdistrict located next to Keravanjoki in a northeastern major district of Helsinki, Finland, near the border to Vantaa It has an area of 4.13 km2 and a population of 11,413. The neighbouring areas in Helsinki are Tapaninvainio and Tapulikaupunki. Neighbouring areas in Vantaa are Tikkurila, Tammisto and Veromies.

Tapulikaupunki (Finnish), Stapelstaden (Swedish) is a northern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland. Tapulikaupunki is located on the Main Line next to Puistola station. The subarea of Puistola in the district Suursuo is located on the opposite side of the railroad. Lower Tikkurila is a subarea of Tapulikaupunki. Tapulikaupunki is built on the land that belonged to an agricultural research station from 1925 to 1960. When operations ceased began planning what to do with the muddy fields. In the 1970s, a high-rise district with square concrete houses was scheduled high and tight. The designated car parking separated from the houses was a new innovation that enabled the creation of pedestrian areas. The area was first called the high-rise area of Puistola station, but residents quickly began calling area Tapulikaupunki after a road named Tapulikaupungintie that passed through the district. In the 1970s, the name Tapulikaupunki became official. Most of the buildings are from the 1970s and early 1980s. In the 1990s, a new townhouse and apartment block area were built. In the 2000s, modern high-rises along the railway were built. The first residents are getting old and the number of children has decreased. Some day care centers have already been demolished to give way to more high-rise buildings, while others have closed. Many residents feel unsafe around the station due to the presence of rental housing in which drug addicts and people with mental health problems reside. In practice, the area is still safe.

Heureka is a Finnish science center in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa, Finland, north of Helsinki, designed by Heikkinen – Komonen Architects. It is located at the intersection of the Finnish Main Line and the river Keravanjoki. The aim of the science centre, which opened its doors to the public in 1989, is to popularise scientific information and to develop the methods used to teach science and scientific concepts. The science centre provides opportunities to become familiar with science and technology through varying exhibitions, a planetarium, an idea workshop, educational programs and events. The core idea of Heureka is to "provide the joy of discovery to everyone". Heureka is one of the largest leisure centres in Finland, with about 300 thousand visitors per year. The name "Heureka" (eureka in English) refers to the Greek exclamation, presumably uttered by Archimedes, to mean "I've found it!" (made a discovery). The Science Centre Heureka features both indoor and outdoor interactive exhibitions with exhibits that enable visitors to independently test different concepts and ideas. There is also a digital planetarium with 135 seats. The Heureka Science Centre is a non-profit organization run by the Finnish Science Centre Foundation. The Finnish Science Centre Foundation is a broadly based co-operation organization that includes the Finnish scientific community, education sector, trade and industry, and national and local government. The ten background organisations of the Foundation support, develop and actively participate in the activities of Heureka. The foundation's highest body is the Board of Trustees, whose decisions are implemented by the Governing Board. Everyday activities are the responsibility of Heureka's director assisted by a management team and other staff. Since September 2020 the director of Heureka has been Mikko Myllykoski.

Puistola (Finnish) or Parkstad (Swedish) is a railway station in the Tapulikaupunki district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the stations of Tapanila and Tikkurila, along the main railroad track from Helsinki to Riihimäki, about 14 kilometres northeast from the Helsinki Central railway station.

Simonkylä (Swedish: Simonsböle) is a district in Vantaa, Finland, located west of the Tikkurila district. The district has a population of about 8,000 (in 2020). It has the largest population of all the neighborhoods that are part of Tikkurila's major region, but it has very few jobs, which makes it primarily a residential area.The most prominent services in the area are Simonkallio elementary school and Simonkylä secondary school, several kindergartens, a youth center and Simonkoti nursing home. Hiekkaharju's own school operates near the district.

Töyrynummi (Swedish: Lidamalmen) is a northern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland. It is a low-income housing area with 2,200 residents as of 2018.

Ruskeasanta (Finnish: [ˈruskeɑˌsɑntɑ]; Swedish: Rödsand) is a city district in Vantaa, Finland. It is part of the Tikkurila major region, located about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of the Helsinki Airport. The district is known mainly as a residential area preferred by families with children. There are approximately 320 jobs in Ruskeasanta, most of them in the service sector. Services in the area include a convenience store, hair salon, pizzeria, restaurant-pub, and Shell filling station near the Highway 45, which is open around the clock. Ruskeasanta's attractions also include the Ruskeasanta cemetery, which houses the nationally significant log chapel from 1927, designed by Armas Lindgren.Finnish pop star and singer Käärijä, who represented Finland in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, is from Ruskeasanta.

Dixi is a combined office, shopping and transport centre in Tikkurila, Vantaa, Finland, in connection to the Tikkurila railway station. Dixi is located to the west of the railway track, to the north of the old station building. The shopping centre was opened in 2015 and was expanded with a 100-metre-long (330 ft) expansion in 2017, with an upcoming final phase of a further 6,000 m2 (65,000 sq ft) of office space to its southern part on Ratatie.The building contains plenty of office space and about thirty businesses, including kiosks, cafés, restaurants, special businesses, a medical station, barbershops, a gym, a service point of the city of Vantaa (Vantaa-info), VR Group ticket sales and an S-market grocery store. The bus terminal of the Tikkurila railway station was moved to Dixi with the buses driving to the open bottom floor of the shopping centre. There is a grass roof the size of a football field on top of the building.Dixi can be accessed from the west from Ratatie, which handles the arriving connections of the bus terminal or from the railway platforms via a station bridge with a roof and glass walls connecting to the third floor. The station bridge and most of the railway platforms are actually located in the neighbouring district of Jokiniemi. However, the businesses on the station bridge are not counted as part of the Dixi shopping centre. On the other end of the station bridge is also located the Väritehtaankatu 8 office and business building in Jokiniemi, which is not part of Dixi. This building hosts offices, a lunch restaurant and a gym. The second phase of the building on Väritehtaankatu was completed in late 2021, consisting of an additional building with six floors and a total floor space of 4,000 m2 (43,000 sq ft).

Tapanila (Swedish: Mosabacka) is a neighbourhood in Malmi district, Helsinki. Tapanila has approximately 5474 inhabitants (2005). Tapanila has its own railway station. It is known that there were few farm houses in Tapanila already in the 16th century. Back then Tapanila was one of the biggest villages in Helsinki area. In 1862, railroad between Hämeenlinna and Tapanila was built. Tapanila was largely rebuilt from 1910–1935 based on Letchworth Garden City in England, the first in the Garden city movement. The area was annexed to Helsinki in 1946. There is also Franzén croft in Tapanila, where, according to auricular tradition, the Finnish national author Aleksis Kivi lived in 1870.

Tikkurila (Finnish: [ˈtikːurilɑ]; Swedish: Dickursby) is a district and major region of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. Located in the eastern half of the Helsinki conurbation, some 16 kilometres (10 mi) north of the capital's downtown district, it is the administrative and commercial hub of Vantaa, although Myyrmäki is a rival commercial hub within the municipality. Tikkurila's most popular attraction is the science center Heureka. Tikkurila railway station is the busiest in Vantaa and third-busiest in Finland. As the nearest mainline station to Helsinki Airport (located 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from Tikkurila), it is served by all the high-speed Pendolino trains on the Helsinki to Tampere and Lahti routes as well as other long-distance services. Some of the other communities surrounding Tikkurila are Jokiniemi, Simonkylä, Ruskeasanta, Hiekkaharju, and Puistola in the Helsinki municipality.
