Leinelä railway station (Finnish: Leinelän rautatieasema, Swedish: Lejle järnvägsstation) is a Helsinki commuter rail station located in Leinelä, one of the newest neighbourhoods in the city of Vantaa, Finland. It is one of the new stations of the Ring Rail Line (Kehärata), which opened in July 2015. The station is located between the stations of Hiekkaharju and Lentoasema (Helsinki Airport).

Vantaa is bordered by Helsinki, the Finnish capital, to the south; Espoo to the southwest; Nurmijärvi to the northwest; Kerava and Tuusula to the north; and Sipoo to the east. The city encompasses 240.35 square kilometres (92.80 sq mi), of which 1.97 km2 (0.76 sq mi) is water.Vantaa's significant attractions include the Vantaa River (Vantaanjoki), which flows through the city and flows into the Gulf of Finland. The largest airport in Finland, and the main airport and airline hub of Greater Helsinki, the Helsinki Airport, is located in Vantaa. Companies with headquarters in Vantaa include Finnair, Finavia, R-kioski, Tikkurila Oyj, Veikkaus Oy, and Metsähallitus. The city also hosts a science center, Heureka. The city of Vantaa is bilingual, both Finnish and Swedish being official languages. 78.7% of the population are Finnish speakers, while 2.4% speak Swedish as their first language. 18.9% of the population speak a native language other than Finnish or Swedish.

Hiekkaharju (Swedish: Sandkulla, English meaning: "sand esker") is a district in Vantaa, Finland, located north of the Tikkurila district. It has its own railway station, the Hiekkaharju railway station, which serves commuter trains around Greater Helsinki. The district has a population of about 4,930 (in 2014). Hiekkaharju primarily accommodates housing, as shops and services are concentrated in the nearby commercial hub of Tikkurila. The first housing in the district was built in the 1920s, and the 1950s saw the rise of denser settlement, with the construction of many apartment buildings. Hiekkaharju railway station is highly regarded as one of the most beautiful railway stations in Finland.

Hiekkaharju railway station (Finnish: Hiekkaharjun rautatieasema; Swedish: Sandkulla station) is a Helsinki commuter rail station located in the district of Hiekkaharju in the city of Vantaa, Finland. It is located approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) from Helsinki Central railway station. The Hiekkaharju station has acted as an in-between stop during the construction of the Kerava local railway track. The third track of the main railway was taken into use in 1972 between Helsinki and Hiekkaharju and was continued to Kerava in 1981. Likewise, the fourth track was completed in 1996 between Helsinki and Hiekkaharju and only continued to Kerava in 2004. When the local railway track was completed in 2004, the Hiekkaharju station was thoroughly renovated. Also the P train, running between Helsinki and Hiekkaharju, was discontinued and replaced with the I train, which only runs between Helsinki and Tikkurila.

Dixi is a combined office, shopping and transport centre in Tikkurila, Vantaa, Finland, in connection to the Tikkurila railway station. Dixi is located to the west of the railway track, to the north of the old station building. The shopping centre was opened in 2015 and was expanded with a 100-metre-long (330 ft) expansion in 2017, with an upcoming final phase of a further 6,000 m2 (65,000 sq ft) of office space to its southern part on Ratatie.The building contains plenty of office space and about thirty businesses, including kiosks, cafés, restaurants, special businesses, a medical station, barbershops, a gym, a service point of the city of Vantaa (Vantaa-info), VR Group ticket sales and an S-market grocery store. The bus terminal of the Tikkurila railway station was moved to Dixi with the buses driving to the open bottom floor of the shopping centre. There is a grass roof the size of a football field on top of the building.Dixi can be accessed from the west from Ratatie, which handles the arriving connections of the bus terminal or from the railway platforms via a station bridge with a roof and glass walls connecting to the third floor. The station bridge and most of the railway platforms are actually located in the neighbouring district of Jokiniemi. However, the businesses on the station bridge are not counted as part of the Dixi shopping centre. On the other end of the station bridge is also located the Väritehtaankatu 8 office and business building in Jokiniemi, which is not part of Dixi. This building hosts offices, a lunch restaurant and a gym. The second phase of the building on Väritehtaankatu was completed in late 2021, consisting of an additional building with six floors and a total floor space of 4,000 m2 (43,000 sq ft).

Tikkurila (Finnish: [ˈtikːurilɑ]; Swedish: Dickursby) is a district and major region of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. Located in the eastern half of the Helsinki conurbation, some 16 kilometres (10 mi) north of the capital's downtown district, it is the administrative and commercial hub of Vantaa, although Myyrmäki is a rival commercial hub within the municipality. Tikkurila's most popular attraction is the science center Heureka. Tikkurila railway station is the busiest in Vantaa and third-busiest in Finland. As the nearest mainline station to Helsinki Airport (located 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from Tikkurila), it is served by all the high-speed Pendolino trains on the Helsinki to Tampere and Lahti routes as well as other long-distance services. Some of the other communities surrounding Tikkurila are Jokiniemi, Simonkylä, Ruskeasanta, Hiekkaharju, and Puistola in the Helsinki municipality.

Tikkurila station (Finnish: Tikkurilan rautatieasema, Swedish: Dickursby station) (IATA: HVT) is located in Tikkurila, the administrative centre of Vantaa in the Helsinki metropolitan area. It is located approximately 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from Helsinki Central railway station and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Helsinki Airport. The station is considered the main railway station of Vantaa, and almost all long-distance and commuter trains stop here. Tikkurila was one of the first seven railway stations in Finland constructed together with the country's first railway between Helsinki and Hämeenlinna in 1862. It was also the only one apart from the two terminus stations to be built out of brick and not wood. The old station was converted into a museum in the 1970s, and a new, more modern station was built to the north of the old one.

Tikkurila Upper Secondary School (Finnish: Tikkurilan lukio), abbreviated in Finnish as TILU, is the largest high school in Finland, with about 1200 students from years 10 to 12. The school also offer an IB programme which is greatly valued in all around the world. The school is located in Tikkurila, Vantaa, and is approximately 430 metres (1,411 ft) from Hiekkaharju's station. On 2 April 2024, a shooting occurred at the Viertola school, Jokiranta site in Vantaa, Finland. The gunman, a 12-year-old student, fired a revolver at three students, all aged 12. One of the victims died and two were seriously injured.

Heureka is a Finnish science center in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa, Finland, north of Helsinki, designed by Heikkinen – Komonen Architects. It is located at the intersection of the Finnish Main Line and the river Keravanjoki. The aim of the science centre, which opened its doors to the public in 1989, is to popularise scientific information and to develop the methods used to teach science and scientific concepts. The science centre provides opportunities to become familiar with science and technology through varying exhibitions, a planetarium, an idea workshop, educational programs and events. The core idea of Heureka is to "provide the joy of discovery to everyone". Heureka is one of the largest leisure centres in Finland, with about 300 thousand visitors per year. The name "Heureka" (eureka in English) refers to the Greek exclamation, presumably uttered by Archimedes, to mean "I've found it!" (made a discovery). The Science Centre Heureka features both indoor and outdoor interactive exhibitions with exhibits that enable visitors to independently test different concepts and ideas. There is also a digital planetarium with 135 seats. The Heureka Science Centre is a non-profit organization run by the Finnish Science Centre Foundation. The Finnish Science Centre Foundation is a broadly based co-operation organization that includes the Finnish scientific community, education sector, trade and industry, and national and local government. The ten background organisations of the Foundation support, develop and actively participate in the activities of Heureka. The foundation's highest body is the Board of Trustees, whose decisions are implemented by the Governing Board. Everyday activities are the responsibility of Heureka's director assisted by a management team and other staff. Since September 2020 the director of Heureka has been Mikko Myllykoski.

Ilola (Swedish: Gladas) is a city district of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. It is located in the northern part of the administrative district of Koivukylä. It is bordered to the west by the district of Lentokenttä, to the south by Ruskeasanta, to the east by Asola, and to the north by the municipality of Tuusula. Ilola has a population of 4,578 (as of 1.1.2014), and its housing is mostly owner-occupied separate and terraced houses, with an average size particularly high for Vantaa, at 90 square metres (970 sq ft). The district was primarily developed in the 1980s and 1990s, when it was one of Vantaa's fastest growing districts.

Suutarila (Swedish: Skomakarböle) is a subdistrict located next to Keravanjoki in a northeastern major district of Helsinki, Finland, near the border to Vantaa It has an area of 4.13 km2 and a population of 11,413. The neighbouring areas in Helsinki are Tapaninvainio and Tapulikaupunki. Neighbouring areas in Vantaa are Tikkurila, Tammisto and Veromies.
