Viimsi Open Air Museum

Pringi is a village in Viimsi Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It's located about 10 km (6 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, situated just northwest of the settlement Haabneeme on the coast of Tallinn Bay. Pringi has a population of 951 (as of 1 January 2011).

The Museum of Coastal Folk (Estonian: Rannarahva Muuseum) is a museum located in Pringi, Viimsi Parish, in northern Estonia. The museum is a branch of the Museum of Coastal Folk Foundation. The activities and displays of the museum are related to the life of Estonian coastal people in the past and today. Among the most important topics it covers are the Kirov Collective Fishing Farm and the small islands of northern Estonia, as well as modern fishing. The director of the museum is Janek Šafranovski.

The Museum of Coastal Folk Foundation (Estonian: Sihtasutus Rannarahva Muuseum)—previously known as the Viimsi Museum Foundation (Estonian: Sihtasutus Viimsi Muuseumid)—is a foundation that manages three museums: the Viimsi Open Air Museum, the Museum of Coastal Folk, and the Naissaar Museum. The predecessor of the Museum of Coastal Folk Foundation is the Kirov Collective Fishing Farm Museum, which was founded in 1971. The open-air department of the museum was opened in the village of Pringi in 1980. In its present form, the museum was created after several reorganizations in June 2007, when the Viimsi Museum Foundation was created. In the fall of 2009, the institution was renamed the Museum of Coastal Folk Foundation because the new name better reflected the work and history of the museum. The three museums managed by the foundation complement each other, offering a broader picture of the life of Estonian coastal people. The Museum of Coastal Folk covers coastal people on the shores of the Baltic Sea from ancient times to the present day, the Viimsi Open Air Museum tells the story of the fishing village, and the Naissaar Museum presents coastal people on small islands and military history. The foundation acts as a memory institution for the people of the coast, collecting and exhibiting the cultural and historical heritage of the people of the coast in its museums.

Miiduranna is a village in Viimsi Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It's located about 8 km (5 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, situated just northwest of Tallinn's subdistrict Merivälja, west of the settlement Viimsi and south of Haabneeme, on the eastern coast of Tallinn Bay. As of 2011 Census, the settlement's population was 358. It is one of the wealthiest regions in Estonia.Half of the village's area is occupied by the Miiduranna Harbour, which is connected to Maardu via railroad. Miiduranna was first mentioned in 1588 as Mitorannes.Miiduranna is connected to the centre of Tallinn by Tallinn Bus Company's route nr. 1A (Viru keskus – Viimsi Keskus), average traveling time is about 25 minutes.

Reidikai (Roadstead Quay, from Estonian reid 'roadstead', and kai 'quay'), also known as Kuuli Muna (lit. 'Kuul's Egg'), is a structure located in Tallinn Bay, Estonia, 800 m west of Miiduranna Harbor. It is a concrete building that was built in the late 1960s for refueling ships and submarines.The name Kuuli Muna refers to Oskar Kuul, the chairman of the Kirov Collective Fishing Farm, which owned property in the area. Currently, Reidikai is abandoned, used by divers, and used for picnics by the sea. The water depth around Reidikai is 10 to 13 meters (33 to 43 ft). From Reidikai, pipelines on the seabed lead to the Viimsi oil storage facility.

Püünsi is a village in Viimsi Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It's located about 13 km (8 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, situated just north of the village of Pringi before Rohuneeme, on the eastern coast of Tallinn Bay. Püünsi has a population of 1,234 (as of 1 January 2011).On 10 August 2005 a Copterline helicopter on Tallinn–Helsinki route crashed about 3 km west of Püünsi into the Tallinn Bay. All 14 people on the helicopter died.

Haabneeme is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Viimsi Parish, Harju County, in northern Estonia alongside Viimsi. It's located about 9 km (6 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, on the eastern coast of Tallinn Bay. With a population of 5,634 (2011 Census), Haabneeme is the largest settlement in the municipality. Haabneeme was first mentioned in 1271 as Apones. During the Middle Ages Haabneeme was settled by Coastal Swedes. In the 1960s, Haabneeme garden city developed on both sides of the Rohuneeme road in the north. The central settlement was built from the 1960s to 1980s as the centre of the Kirov Fishing Kolkhoz (named after Sergey Kirov). In 1973 a new administrative building was opened. The shopping centre was built in 1976, hospital-polyclinic in 1979. As an addition to apartment buildings, a pension was opened in 1974, stadium in 1978, kindergarten in 1983 and a high school in 1981–1985.Recently, many new buildings such as a spa hotel, a new schoolhouse (2006), a kindergarten and a supermarket have been raised. Haabneeme is connected to the centre of Tallinn by Tallinn Bus Company's route nr. 1A (Viru keskus – Viimsi haigla), average traveling time is about 25 minutes. A new two storey shopping centre with Selver hypermarket is planned to be opened in Haabneeme in 2015.

Viimsi peninsula (Estonian: Viimsi poolsaar) is a peninsula in Viimsi Parish, Harju County Estonia.The area of the peninsula is about 50 km2 (19 sq mi).The peninsula ends with Rohuneem cape.

Viimsi staadion was a football and rugby stadium in Haabneeme, Viimsi Parish, Estonia, just outside the capital Tallinn with the capacity of 2,000. The stadium was formerly used by a now-defunct Lantana Tallinn football club. The pitch size was 105 by 70 metres. As of 2007 the stadium was home to the Tallinn Rugby Football Club and the temporary home of the Estonian National Rugby Union team via cooperation between the Estonian Rugby Union and Nord West Kinnisvara OÜ. The team is governed by the Estonian Rugby Union, which oversees all rugby union in Estonia. The address of the Stadium was Sõpruse 7, 74001 Viimsi Parish.

Rohuneeme is a village in Viimsi Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It is located about 14 km (9 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, situated on the northern end of the Viimsi Peninsula. As of the 2011 census, the settlement's population was 440.The northernmost cape of the peninsula is named Rohuneem (literally: 'grass cape'). The island of Aegna, which administratively belongs to Tallinn, is located about 1.5 km northwest of Rohuneeme. There are also two small islets Kräsuli and Kumbli located in the straits between, which belong to Rohuneeme. Rohuneeme was first mentioned in 1375 as oppidum Longenes. The narrow strait between Kräsuli and Aegna was known as Wulfs Sund. It has been known as a point for pirates to ambush the Novgorodian merchant ships which brought valuable goods to Tallinn. According to one hypothesis, the strait could have been the location of the battle at Iron Gate in 1032, mentioned in Russian chronicles. In battle, which though is usually located to northern Russia, Novgorodians led by Ulf Ragvaldsson suffered heavy loss.In the Middle Ages Rohuneeme was settled by Coastal Swedes. During the Soviet times a missile base was located on the southern side of the village. There is a harbour, store and a cemetery with chapel located in the village. The second president of Estonia, Lennart Meri, lived on the cape of Rohuneeme.

Viimsi Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Haabneeme, Viimsi Parish, Estonia. Opened in 2015, it is the home ground of Viimsi JK. The stadium has a capacity of 800.

The Estonian War Museum (full name Estonian War Museum – General Laidoner Museum; Estonian: Eesti Sõjamuuseum – kindral Laidoneri muuseum) is a war museum in Viimsi, Estonia. The museum is dedicated to military history of Estonia. The museum is named after Estonian general Johan Laidoner.The museum was established in 1919 as Museum of the Estonian War of Independence. At the time of establishing, the Estonian War of Independence was not over (ended in 1920).1921–1940, the leader of the museum was Taavet Poska. At this time, the museum was located in Tallinn Old Town at Vene Street 5. In 1940, the museum was closed.The museum was re-established in 2001.Due to the limited space around the Viimsi Manor house, the potential new location for the museum may be in Patarei Sea Fortress in Tallinn.
