Arboretum Island (Turkish: Arboretum Adası), aka Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden (Turkish: Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanik Bahçesi), is an arboretum located in Ümraniye district Istanbul Province, Turkey. Opened in 2002 to the public, it was named in honor of Nezhat Gökyiğit, spouse of Turkish businessman Nihat Gökyiğit. It contains about 50,000 plants in an area covering 32 ha (79 acres).

Metropol İstanbul is a mixed-use skyscraper in the Ataşehir district in Istanbul, Turkey. The tower was opened in 2018. Its height reaches 301 m (987 ft 6 in) including the twin spires at top, while its height at the roof level is 280 m (918 ft 8 in). It has 70 floors above ground level.

Küçükbakkalköy is a neighborhood in the municipality of Ataşehir on the Asian side of Istanbul, Turkey. It is bounded on the northwest, north, and northeast by the Atatürk neighborhood, on the southeast by the Kayışdağı neighborhood, on the south by the İçerenköy neighborhood, and on the west by the Barbaros neighborhood. The name Küçükbakkalköy means "little grocery village." The name is said to come from the market held in the Greek village that formerly existed there. The neighborhood was referred to as Pakal-kioi (Πακαλ-κιοι) on a Greek tombstone dated 1875 in a cemetery in the neighborhood.The neighborhood is said to date from Byzantine times, with the neighborhood's Acısu Çeşmesi ("bitter water fountain") thought to be part of an old ayazma.Küçükbakkalköy is one of the historic Romani people in Turkey (Gypsy) neighborhoods of Istanbul, along with Sulukule, Selamsız, Çürüklük, Tophane, Çayırboyu, and Lonca. In 2006, there were reported to be 240 Romani households in the neighborhood.

Çakmak is an underground station on the M5 line of the Istanbul Metro in Ümraniye. The station is located on Alemdağ Street in the Saray quarter of Ümraniye. Connection to IETT city buses is available from at street level. The M5 line operates as fully automatic unattended train operation (UTO). The station consists of an island platform with two tracks. Since the M5 is an ATO line, protective gates on each side of the platform open only when a train is in the station. Çakmak station was opened on 21 October 2018.

Küçükbakkalköy is an underground station on the M8 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located on Kayışdağı Street in the Küçükbakkalköy neighbourhood of Ataşehir. It was opened on 6 January 2023.

Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University (ACU) is a non-profit foundation university in Istanbul, Turkey, dedicated to the field of health sciences. The university was founded in 2007 by Mehmet Ali Aydınlar, an entrepreneur and founder of Acıbadem Healthcare Group, Turkey's leading healthcare institution. Yeni Sahra Stadium (Turkish: Yeni Sahra Stadı) is a football stadium in the Ataşehir district of the city of Istanbul. The stadium has a capacity of 700 spectators and was built in 2008.The stadium is currently used for football matches only, and it is the home ground of Ataşehir Belediyespor women's football team.

Ataşehir Belediyespor is a Turkish sports club based in the Ataşehir district of Istanbul. It is known for its women's football team that won the Turkish League championship in 2011, the fourth year of its existence. They defended their title successfully in 2012.
