Goldwater Air National Guard Base, formerly Sky Harbor Air National Guard Base, is a facility of the United States Air National Guard that exists adjacent to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It was built as the result of a 99-year lease in 1949, and was rebuilt in the 1990s to accommodate the creation of a third runway at the airport.On December 9, 2016, the Phoenix Sky Harbor Air National Guard Base was renamed Goldwater Air National Guard Base in honor of former United States Senator from Arizona and former Arizona Air National Guard member, Barry Goldwater.The Arizona Air National Guard's 161st Air Refueling Wing is based at Goldwater Air National Guard Base.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (IATA: PHX, ICAO: KPHX, FAA LID: PHX) is a civil–military public airport 3 miles (2.6 nmi; 4.8 km) east of downtown Phoenix, in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is Arizona's largest and busiest airport, and among the largest commercial airports in the United States; in 2021, PHX was the 8th-busiest airport in the United States and 11th-busiest in the world. The airport serves as a hub for American Airlines and a base for Southwest Airlines. American (including American Eagle operated by Skywest and Mesa) serve more passengers from PHX than any other carrier .The airport is also home to the 161st Air Refueling Wing (161 ARW), an Air Mobility Command (AMC)–gained unit of the Arizona Air National Guard. The military enclave is known as the Goldwater Air National Guard Base. One of two flying units in the Arizona ANG, the 161 ARW currently flies the KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft. In addition to its domestic role as a National Guard unit, answering to the Governor of Arizona, the 161 ARW also performs both a stateside and overseas role as a USAF organization, supporting air refueling and air mobility missions worldwide.

The Double Butte Cemetery is the official name given to a historic cemetery in Tempe, Arizona. The cemetery was founded in 1888 on the baseline of the Double Butte Mountain for which it is named. It is the final resting place of various notable pioneers of the City of Tempe. The cemetery, which is located at 2505 W. Broadway Rd., is listed in the Tempe Historic Property Register Designation #46. The pioneer section of the cemetery was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on July 30, 2013, reference #13000020.

Phoenix Rising Soccer Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in Phoenix, Arizona. It is the home of Phoenix Rising FC of the USL Championship. 38th Street/Washington (also known as GateWay Community College) is a light rail station on Valley Metro Rail in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It is the twelfth stop westbound and the seventeenth stop eastbound on the initial 20-mile (32 km) starter line. This station is a park and ride station.

GateWay Community College is a community college in Phoenix, Arizona. Established in 1968, GateWay is one of ten regionally accredited colleges in the Maricopa County Community College District. The Maricopa Skill Center was rebranded as the Trade and Technical Training Division of GateWay in 2016, offering many of the same programs, just under a new division name within GateWay Community College.GateWay is the only Maricopa Community College with a Valley Metro Light Rail stop on campus, located on the south end of the campus.GateWay Early College High School is located on the GWCC campus. Students can be enrolled in college classes and earn credits to eventually earn an associate degree. The first GWECHS class graduated in May, 2008. The GWECHS received its NCA accreditation on April 1, 1997.

Pueblo Grande Ruin and Irrigation Sites are pre-Columbian archaeological sites and ruins, located in Phoenix, Arizona. They include a prehistoric platform mound and irrigation canals. The City of Phoenix manages these resources as the Pueblo Grande Museum Archaeological Park.

44th Street/Washington is a station on the Valley Metro Rail light rail line in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The PHX Sky Train provides direct service from the light rail station to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Westbound trains in the morning depart from this station. In addition to Valley Metro Bus service, two other companies service the station. Flixbus stops at the PHX Sky Train station. It is one of two stations for Flixbus service in the Phoenix area. Greyhound Lines's Phoenix - El Paso bus stops also stops at the station.

Faithful Word Baptist Church is a New Independent Fundamentalist Baptist church in Tempe, Arizona, that was founded by Steven Anderson. The church describes itself as "an old-fashioned, independent, fundamental, King James Bible-only, soul-winning Baptist church." Members of the church meet in an office space that is located inside a strip mall. Anderson established the church in December 2005 and remains its pastor. In August 2009, the church received national attention when Anderson stated in a sermon that he was praying for the death of then-president Barack Obama. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) listed Faithful Word Baptist Church as an anti-gay hate group, citing its pastor's "extremely radical stance" that homosexuals should be judged and executed according to the Law of Moses. Its documentary titled Marching to Zion was labeled as antisemitic by the Anti-Defamation League. Its pastor was refused entry to South Africa, Botswana, Jamaica, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Schengen Area, the Republic of Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
