The Ankara Arena (Turkish: Ankara Spor Salonu), is an indoor sporting arena that is located in Ankara, Turkey that opened in April 2010. The seating capacity of the arena is 10,400 spectators.Built for the 2010 FIBA World Championship, the new venue replaced the nearby Ankara Atatürk Sport Hall as the home of Turkish Basketball League clubs, Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Türk Telekom Basketbol and Optimum TED Ankara Kolejliler. In 2011, the arena hosted along with the Başkent Volleyball Hall the FIVB Girls Youth World Championship. Matches of the 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women were played at the arena between June 25-July 1.

Ankara Tren Garı ("Ankara Train Station"), alternatively known as Ankara YHT railway station (Turkish: Ankara Yüksek Hızlı Tren Garı) and abbreviated as ATG, is a mixed-use commercial building in Ankara, Turkey. The building houses a shopping mall, a five-star hotel and commercial offices, as well as a concourse for YHT high-speed trains. Situated next to the Ankara railway station, the ATG terminal was built on the southern half of land used by the Ankara station, on the former site of two platforms serving commuter trains along with storage tracks. The building officially opened on 29 October 2016, on the 93rd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey, along with Ankara station's high-speed platforms located underneath the structure.The building is owned by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and operated by a private company known as Ankara Tren Gar İşletmesi A.Ş. TCDD Taşımacılık uses the building for its ticket and information booths, waiting area and its VIP/CIP lounge. The building itself is 30 m (98 ft) tall with eight floors.

Ankara railway station (Turkish: Ankara Garı) is the main railway station in Ankara, Turkey, and is a major transportation hub within the city. The station is the eastern terminus of the Istanbul-Ankara railway corridor, as well as the easternmost station in Turkey with high-speed rail service. Ankara station is also a hub for YHT high-speed trains, with its own exclusive platforms and concourse. TCDD Taşımacılık also operates intercity train service to Kars, Tatvan and Kurtalan as well as Başkentray commuter rail service. Located within the historic Ulus quarter, the station is a landmark of the city. In 2016, a new building was opened above the YHT platforms known as Ankara Tren Garı (ATG). The ATG building serves as a hub for high-speed rail with its own concourse containing information and tickets booths, waiting rooms and a VIP lounge, and is connected to the rest of the station via a skybridge.

On 10 October 2015 at 10:04 local time (EEST) in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, two bombs were detonated outside Ankara Central railway station. With a death toll of 109 civilians, the attack surpassed the 2013 Reyhanlı bombings as the deadliest terror attack in modern Turkish history. Another 500 people were injured. Censorship monitoring group Turkey Blocks identified nationwide slowing of social media services in the aftermath of the blasts, described by rights group Human Rights Watch as an "extrajudicial" measure to restrict independent media coverage of the incident.The bombs appeared to target a "Labour, Peace and Democracy" rally organised by the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DİSK), the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB), the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) and the Confederation of Public Workers' Unions (KESK). The peace march was held to protest against the growing conflict between the Turkish Armed Forces and the separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). The incident occurred 21 days before the scheduled 1 November general election.The governing Justice and Development Party (AKP), the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) and the opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) condemned the attack and called it an attempt to cause division within Turkey. CHP and MHP leaders heavily criticized the government for the security failure, whereas HDP directly blamed the AKP government for the bombings. Various political parties ended up cancelling their election campaigns while three days of national mourning were declared by the Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.No organisation has ever claimed responsibility for the attack. The Ankara Attorney General stated that they were investigating the possibility of two cases of suicide bombings. On 19 October, one of the two suicide bombers was officially identified as the younger brother of the perpetrator of the Suruç bombing; both brothers had suspected links to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the ISIL affiliated Dokumacılar group.

The Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadium (Turkish: Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadyumu) was the home venue of Ankara's Gençlerbirliği. It was built in 1930 and is part of the 19 Mayıs Sports Complex, which is located in the Ulus district. The stadium had a capacity of 19,209 (all-seater). Ankaraspor also used the stadium until they moved to their new venue in the Yenikent district. The stadium was named after the date May 19, 1919, when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk arrived at Samsun to start the Turkish War of Independence. Official ceremonies to celebrate the May 19th Youth and Sports Day were also held at the stadium. In August 2018, demolition of the stadium began in order to make way for a new stadium to be built on the site.

The new Ankara Stadium is a football stadium under construction at the site of the historic 19 Mayıs Stadium in Altındağ, Ankara. Planned to seat 45,000, it'll be the home of MKE Ankaragücü and Gençlerbirliği SK, who as of 2023 play their home games in Eryaman Stadium, as well as the Turkey national football team and is expected to host matches for the UEFA Euro 2032. Construction of the stadium commenced in July 2022.

Atatürk's Residence and Railway Museum (Turkish: Atatürk Konutu ve Demiryolları Müzesi) is a national historic house and railway museum in Ankara, Turkey. It was originally the management building of the Turkish State Railways. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk used it as a residence and headquarters during the Turkish War of Independence.

Atatürk Kültür Merkezi is an underground station of the Ankara Metro in Altındağ, Ankara. It is a stop on the M1 line as well as the southern terminus of the M4 line. The station is located along Istanbul Avenue at the intersection with Kazım Karabekir Avenue. Connection to EGO Bus service is available on Istanbul Avenue. The M1 station was opened on 29 December 1997, while the M4 station opened 19 years later on 5 January 2017.

Ankara Atatürk Sport Hall (Turkish: Ankara Atatürk Spor Salonu) is an indoor sport arena located in the district of Ulus in Ankara, Turkey. The hall with a seating capacity for 4,500 people and a parking lot for 500 cars was built in 1969. Home of the clubs Büyük Kolej and Türk Telekom, it is the second biggest indoor sport hall in Ankara after ASKI Sport Hall, where competitions of basketball, volleyball and handball are held. Following the preliminary round, which took place in Bursa and İzmir, Atatürk Sport Hall hosted 16.

Freedom Research Association (Turkish: Özgürlük Araştırmaları Derneği) is an Ankara-based public policy research organization (think-tank) with a mission to promote evidence-based policy-making and to help consolidate liberal institutions in Turkey. Center for Civil Liberties Centers conduct extensive research on any public policy subject related to their field from an empirical and analytical point of view, publish reports and host public events. FRA's "Online FreedomTalks" gathers academics, bureaucrats, experts and students to discuss political and economic developments. The Rule of Law Academy is a flagship project that reaches hundred of young legal practitioners every year. Also Structural Reforms in Turkey and Turkish Public Alcohol Policy Watch are among the newest projects of FRA.

Selim Sırrı Tarcan Sport Hall (Turkish: Ankara Selim Sırrı Tarcan Spor Salonu) is an indoor arena for volleyball matches located in Altındağ district of Ankara, Turkey. Named after Selim Sırrı Tarcan (1874-1956), founder of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey and a major contributor to volleyball sport in Turkey, the venue has a seating capacity of 2,500 spectators.Designed by architect Gündüz Güngen, its construction began in 1958 and completed in 1964. The sport hall was commissioned by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD), however it was handed over to the Directorate of Physical Education after 5–6 months of its opening. In April 2006, the venue was transferred to the Turkish Volleyball Federation for a time span of 49 years.The venue is home to İller Bankası Women's Volleyball, which plays in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League.
