The Macedonian Orthodox Diocese of America and Canada (Macedonian: Американско-канадска епархија) is one of 10 dioceses of the Macedonian Orthodox Church. Operating a near total of forty churches in Canada and the United States, the diocese is headed by Metropolitan Methodius.

St. Clement of Ohrid (Macedonian: Св. Климент Охридски) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is the first Macedonian Orthodox Church in Canada and one of the oldest in the Macedonian Orthodox Diocese of America and Canada. The church not only tends to the spiritual needs of Toronto's Macedonian community, but it serves as the home to several prominent educational, cultural, and charitable organizations that actively preserve and promote Macedonian ethnic and cultural awareness. In addition to church services, St. Clement of Ohrid also has three banquet halls.

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada, formerly known as the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto (Canada), is an archdiocese of the Eastern Orthodox Church based in Canada. It is under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. The present Archbishop and Exarch of All Canada is Sotirios Athanassoulas. Its jurisdiction covers members of the Greek Orthodox community living in Canada. Archbishop Sotirios was born in Arta, Epirus in Greece. The headquarters of the archdiocese is in the East York district of Toronto.

Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute (Marc Garneau CI, MGCI or Garneau), formerly known as Overlea Secondary School, is a high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and part of the Toronto District School Board. Before 1998, this school was part of the East York Board of Education. It is the host school of the Talented Offerings for Programs in the Sciences (TOPS) program, a selective math, science and English enrichment program.

Thorncliffe Park is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the former Borough of East York.

Thorncliffe Park Raceway was a Toronto-area racetrack that operated from 1917 until 1952. It was located east of Millwood Road, south of Eglinton Avenue East and the CPR's railroad tracks. It was the first home of the Prince of Wales Stakes. The name is retained today by the Thorncliffe Park neighbourhood.

Taylor-Massey Creek is a tributary of the Don River in Toronto, Ontario. It flows through Scarborough and East York, where it enters the Don River. Taylor-Massey Creek has also been called Silver Creek and Scarboro Creek. The creek is named after two prominent Toronto families. The Taylors were a wealthy family that owned and operated the Don Valley Brick Works. The Massey family owned the Massey-Harris farm equipment manufacturing company. Both families had sizable estates in the vicinity of the creek. The Massey Goulding Estate, a historic property at 305 Dawes Road, was originally part of the Massey estate and is now used as the Children's Peace Theatre. The mansion was built in 1921 for Dr. Arthur Goulding and his wife, Dorothy Massey, daughter of Walter and Susan Massey.

Flemingdon Park is a middle-class district and community in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located in the city's North York district. It is part of the Don Valley East federal and provincial electoral districts, and Ward 26: Don Valley East (South) municipally. In 2011, its population was 22,205. The average income was $66,784.It is bordered on the north by Eglinton Avenue East, on the west by the Don River (west branch), and on the east and south by the Don River (east branch). The two branches of the river join at the neighbourhood’s southwest corner. The south border is a parkland access road that used to be known as Old Lawrence Avenue. Flemingdon Park is separated from neighbouring communities by river valleys on three sides, and a light industrial area, now mostly used as corporate offices, next to several railway lines on the north side. The community is named after its original owner, Robert John Fleming, the Mayor of Toronto in 1892–1893 and 1896–1897, and the nearby Don River.

E.T. Seton Park is a public park located in the North York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The main entrance is located at 73 Thorncliffe Park Drive, with additional entrances at the junction of Don Mills Road and Gateway Boulevard North, and via the entrance to Sunnybrook Park and Wilket Creek Park near the junction of Leslie Street and Eglinton Avenue. The park is named after Ernest Thompson Seton, a British-born author and naturalist. Seton spent much of his childhood (1860 to 1870s) in the Don Valley near the park that bears his name. The Don River runs through the park, which makes it a popular spot for many activities.E.T. Seton Park adjoins Thorncliffe Park, Flemingdon Park, and the Ontario Science Centre. It contains jogging and cycling paths, an archery range, nordic skiing and equestrian trails, as well as three fire pits.The park's archery range is one of only two public ranges in Canada. It was listed as the archery location in Toronto's bid book for the 2015 Pan American Games, but was not used for that competition because vehicular access to the range was not possible. The archery event for the Pan American Games was held at Varsity Stadium on Bloor Street in downtown Toronto instead.In 2011, a disc golf centre was set up on the park's grounds.

The Ontario Science Centre (French: Centre des sciences de l'Ontario), formally the Centennial Museum of Science and Technology, is a science museum in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, near the Don Valley Parkway about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) northeast of downtown on Don Mills Road just south of Eglinton Avenue East in the former city of North York. It is built down the side of a wooded ravine formed by one branch of the Don River located in Flemingdon Park.

The Leaside Bridge, formerly the East York Leaside Viaduct, and officially commemorated as the Confederation Bridge, spans the Don River in the City of Toronto, Ontario. The Truss bridge carrying Millwood Road was built to connect the then Town of Leaside, including Thorncliffe Park, to the then Township of East York, and was completed on October 29, 1927. The construction time of only 10 months was record breaking at the time.
