Rotkreuzplatz is an U-Bahn station in Munich, Germany, on the U1. It was opened on 28 May 1983, the extension onwards to Westfriedhof was not opened until 1998. The station is also served by route of the Munich tramway.

Gern is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1. It opened on 24 May 1998 (1998-05-24). The station includes displays on local history, and is also noted for its innovative lighting; nine pyramidal aluminium fixtures give the illusion of daylight streaming in from above.

Westfriedhof is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1 line of the Munich U-Bahn system, it opened on 24 May 1998, the extension onwards to Georg-Brauchle-Ring was completed in 2003. It is located in the course of the second main line on the border between the Munich districts Neuhausen-Nymphenburg and Moosach. The station built below Orpheusstraße was opened to traffic on 24 May 1998. The subway station is served by the subway line . Since 12 December 2011, it has also been the terminus of the reinforcement line, which only runs during rush hours. There is a link with other Munich public transport lines at above-ground tram stops. From 1998 to 2003 it was the terminus of the line and is the terminus of tram line . Because of its lighting design, it is occasionally used as a photo motif by advertising agencies and the special atmosphere has also been used as a record cover. The light comes from eleven lamps, each 3.80 metres in diameter, which have luminaires in blue, red and yellow. At the western end sunlight falls in. This divides the platform into different colours. Together with the rough walls, the station is reminiscent of a cave. Originally, the architect had planned a glass pane in front of the walls, but he liked it better that way. However, the walls had to be secured with a steel net in 2003, as individual pieces had loosened from the wall time and again. The barrier storey can be reached by rolling stairs, fixed staircases and a lift. From there you can also get to the surface by means of rolling and fixed stairs and a lift, where there is a connection to the tram line to Moosach and to the tram lines and in the direction of the city centre.

The Institute of Contemporary History (Institut für Zeitgeschichte) in Munich was conceived in 1947 under the name Deutsches Institut für Geschichte der nationalsozialistischen Zeit ("German Institute of the History of the National Socialist Era"). Founded by the German government and the State of Bavaria at the suggestion of the Allied Forces, it was established in 1949 and renamed in 1952. Its purpose is the analysis of contemporary German history.

Munich Donnersbergerbrücke station is a station with four platform tracks in the Schwanthalerhöhe district of the Bavarian state capital of Munich and a hub of the Munich S-Bahn. Here line S 7 separates towards Wolfratshausen from the S-Bahn trunk line. It is also served by services of the Bayerische Oberlandbahn on the Munich–Holzkirchen railway on the S-Bahn trunk line. The station is located east of the Donnersberger Bridge (German: Donnersbergerbrücke).

Munich Hirschgarten is a Munich S-Bahn railway station on the main line between Laim and Donnersbergerbrücke railway stations at Friedenheimer Brücke. It was opened in December 2009 and provides transportation access for the new quarter under development at Birketweg nearby. In early planning stages, the proposed name was "Friedenheimer Brücke". The station is served by the lines S1, S2, S3, S4, S6 and S8 of the Munich S-Bahn network, which connect the station with the city centre (all lines), Munich Airport (S1 and S8) and suburban areas. Each of these lines run services every 20 minutes, with some increased to every 10 minutes during peak hours, therefore connecting Hirschgarten with the city centre every 2–4 minutes.

The Eisenbahnkaserne ("Railway Barracks") was a military barracks in Munich that existed from 1890 to 1976. The "Kasernement des Eisenbahnbataillons" (Kasernement of the Railway Battalion) was built in 1888 and 1889. It was located west of today's Olympiapark on Dachauer Straße, where the Bundeswehr Administration Centre is now located.
