Lee Medical Building

Atlantic Motor Company is a historic automobile showroom and gas station constructed in 1919 in Richmond, Virginia. The building was designed by Richmond architect Albert F. Huntt with Bascomb J. Rowlett. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 16, 2005. It is located at 1840 West Broad Street. The building was empty for two decades until being converted into retail space and offices after 2004 with the support of tax credits.

The West Broad Street Industrial and Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Richmond, Virginia. The district encompasses 29 contributing buildings and 1 contributing object built between 1902 and the 1930s. The District is characterized by a variety of architectural styles, including large industrial vernacular buildings, standard post-1900 commercial storefronts, and a large Modern-style department store. The majority of the buildings are two-to-four stories in height and are composed of brick with stucco, stone and metal detailing. Notable buildings include Putney Shoe Factory (1910), C.F. Sauer Headquarters (1910), L.H. Jenkins Book Manufactory (1902), Virginia School Supply Company (1913), the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant (1925), and the former Sears department store (c. 1946). Located in the district is the separately listed Atlantic Motor Company.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The J. E. B. Stuart Monument is a deconstructed monument to Confederate general J. E. B. Stuart at the head of historic Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia, which was dedicated in 1907. The equestrian statue of General Stuart was removed from its pedestal and placed into storage on July 7, 2020 after having stood there for 113 years. The removal was in response to nationally reported events of police brutality and a corresponding emergency declaration in Virginia. The granite pedestal, which stood empty for nineteen months, was finally dismantled in February 2022.

St. John's United Church of Christ is a historic church in Richmond, Virginia. It was founded as 'Saint John's German Lutheran Evangelical Church and was called St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church from 1943 to 1962. The congregation formed in 1843 to minister to the very large German immigrant population of Richmond (especially the Carver neighborhood) at the time. The name "German Lutheran Evangelical Church" was selected as its members were Lutherans, but the church has never been affiliated with any Lutheran denomination. It operated independently until 1874 when it affiliated with the German Evangelical Synod of North America, a predecessor of the United Church of Christ.After meeting in member homes for several years, the congregation moved into a new church building on North Fifth Street at Jackson in 1847. It moved into a larger building in 1881, and into its current facilities in 1928. The church houses one of the three remaining intact EM Skinner pipe organs on the East Coast of the United States. One prominent member of St. Johns was Conrad Frederick Sauer, whose family-owned CF Sauer factory exists nearby on Broad Street to this day. [1]. Virginia Governor Mills E. Godwin Jr. and his family were members of this congregation during his first term. St John's was also influential in forming the Gesangsverein Virginia, or "Virginia" German singing society that was a pillar of Richmond's German community and still exists today

Columbia, also known as the Philip Haxall House, is a historic home located in Richmond, Virginia. A rare surviving hi-style Federal Villa. The house name is derived from the Columbia Flour Mills which Haxall operated. It was built in 1817–1818, and is a two-story, three bay Federal style brick dwelling on a high basement. The entrance features an elliptical fanlight opening sheltered by a one-story Doric porch. It was added when the entrance was moved from the Lombardy Street side to the Grace Street side in 1924, when the building was expanded to house the T.C. Williams School of Law of the University of Richmond. In 1834 the Baptist Education Society purchased the house and it became the main academic building of Richmond College, later University of Richmond. It housed the School of Law from 1917 to 1954. In 1984 Columbia was purchased by the American Historical Foundation for its headquarters. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Allison Street station, located at the corner of Broad and Allison Street, is a bus station site of the GRTC Bus Rapid Transit route.

The Fan is a district of Richmond, Virginia, so named because of the "fan" shape of the array of streets that extend west from Belvidere Street, on the eastern edge of Monroe Park, westward to Arthur Ashe Boulevard. However, the streets rapidly resemble a grid after they go through what is now Virginia Commonwealth University. The Fan is one of the easterly points of the city's West End section, and is bordered to the north by Broad Street and to the south by VA 195, although the Fan District Association considers the southern border to be the properties abutting the south side of Main Street. The western side is sometimes called the Upper Fan and the eastern side the Lower Fan, though confusingly the Uptown district is located near VCU in the Lower Fan. Many cafes and locally owned restaurants are located here, as well as historic Monument Avenue, a boulevard formerly featuring statuary of the Civil War's Confederate president and generals. The only current statue is a more modern one of tennis icon Arthur Ashe. Development of the Fan district was strongly influenced by the City Beautiful movement of the late 19th century. The Fan District is primarily a residential neighborhood consisting of late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century homes. It is also home to VCU's Monroe Park Campus, several parks, and tree-lined avenues. The District also has numerous houses of worship, and locally owned businesses and commercial establishments. The Fan borders and blends with the Boulevard, the Museum District, and the Carytown district, which features the ornate Byrd Theatre. The appearance of the Fan District is frequently compared to that of the Bourbon Street neighborhood in New Orleans although the two places are actually quite different architecturally upon close examination. Main east-west thoroughfares include Broad Street, Grace Street, Monument Avenue, Patterson Avenue, Grove Avenue, Floyd Avenue, Main Street, Parkwood Ave, and Cary Street.

St. James's Episcopal Church is the third oldest Episcopal congregation in Richmond, Virginia. Only the older St. John's Episcopal Church on Church Hill also remains an active congregation. The parish takes as its motto, emblazoned above the altar: "Be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only," ascribed to early Christian bishop James the Just, James 1:22. However, its seal includes three scallop shells, traditional symbols of the pilgrim St. James the Greater. Other symbols on the parish's seal include: a star symbolizing Epiphany and the collect for the First Sunday after Epiphany ("Grant (O Lord) that we may both perceive and know what things (we) ought to do, and may also have grace and power faithfully to fulfill the same"), a pelican pecking its breast (to symbolize Christ's sacrifice as well as the Eucharist), and a fish and loaf (both symbolizing Christ and the gospel story of the loaves and fishes of which at least St. James the Greater was witness). The parish is proud of its longstanding evangelistic outreach tradition.

The district encompasses 20 contributing buildings built between about 1900 and the late 1930s. Located in the district is the Forbes Motor Car Company (1919), Harper-Overland Company building (1921), Firestone Building (1929), Engine Company No. 10 Firehouse (c. 1900), and the Saunders Station Post Office (1937). The majority of the buildings are two-to-four stories in height and are composed of brick with stucco, stone and metal detailing. Located in the district is the separately listed The Coliseum-Duplex Envelope Company Building.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Congregation Beth Ahabah (meaning "House of Love") is a Reform Jewish synagogue at 1121 West Franklin Street, Richmond, Virginia, in the United States. Founded in 1789 by Spanish and Portuguese Jews as Kahal Kadosh Beth Shalome (meaning "Holy Congregation, House of Peace"), it is one of the oldest synagogues in the United States.

Stonewall Jackson School, also known as West End School, is a historic school building located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1886–1887, is a tall two-story, brick and granite school building in the Italianate style. It features a bracketed cornice and shallow, standing seam metal, hipped roof. The building consists of identical wings facing west and south, and a connecting curved bay, which contains a double stair. Each wing has a cast-iron, Corinthian order porch, flanked by three bay classrooms. The building has been converted to professional offices. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

St. Sophia Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor, also known as the Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged, is a historic Roman Catholic hospital and convent located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. The original residence known as "Warsaw" was built in 1832, and subsequently incorporated into the Italianate style brick hospital building between 1877 and 1881. A convent wing was added in 1894 and a service wing in the 1950s. The building is a 3+1⁄2-story, brick structure on a brick basement with a Second Empire style mansard roof. The charity hospital was operated by the Little Sisters of the Poor order, who vacated the home in 1976. The building was subsequently converted to apartments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
