St. Sophia Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor, also known as the Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged, is a historic Roman Catholic hospital and convent located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. The original residence known as "Warsaw" was built in 1832, and subsequently incorporated into the Italianate style brick hospital building between 1877 and 1881. A convent wing was added in 1894 and a service wing in the 1950s. The building is a 3+1⁄2-story, brick structure on a brick basement with a Second Empire style mansard roof. The charity hospital was operated by the Little Sisters of the Poor order, who vacated the home in 1976. The building was subsequently converted to apartments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Randolph School is a historic school in Richmond, Virginia. The oldest part was constructed in 1896, with additions made in 1900, 1934, and 1952. It is a 2 1/2-story, brick school building in the Italianate style. It features a four-story entrance tower with a mansard roof, ornamental terra cotta string course, brick corbelling and window hoods. Some of the rooms retain their original tin ceilings.Randolph School's architect and builder are unknown. The building's architecture is similar to Fairmount School in Richmond, which also remains in existence. The Fairmont School architectural style has been referred to as simplified Empire style with Gothic Revival details.Randolph School served an area then known as Sydney that included ironworkers and stonecutters. When it opened in 1896 tuition was $8.17, teachers earned $50 annually, and the principal $150. It became a "colored" school in 1930. Expansions added junior high school accommodations, a gymnasium, and cafeteria.It served various grades until 1970. It became a special education center until 1974, and was then closed. It was a community center for a time, since then has been rehabilitated as apartments for the elderly.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 4, 1984.

Randolph is a historically black middle class neighborhood located within the West End of Richmond, Virginia. The neighborhood is named in honor of Virginia E. Randolph, a former African-American educator in Henrico County, Virginia during the 19th century. The neighborhood is bounded by the Downtown Expressway to the north, Harrison Street to the east, Colorado Avenue to the south, and South Meadow street to the west. Some famous landmarks and places of interest in the neighborhood include Petronius Park, the Randolph Community Center, and just adjacent to the neighborhood, the Hollywood Cemetery. Randolph borders directly to its east, Oregon Hill and the northern tier of Hollywood Cemetery. To its south, it borders the Maymont neighborhood and River View. West of the community lies Byrd Park and Idlewood Park. Due north of the community is The Fan and the VCU Greek Row.

St. James's Episcopal Church is the third oldest Episcopal congregation in Richmond, Virginia. Only the older St. John's Episcopal Church on Church Hill also remains an active congregation. The parish takes as its motto, emblazoned above the altar: "Be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only," ascribed to early Christian bishop James the Just, James 1:22. However, its seal includes three scallop shells, traditional symbols of the pilgrim St. James the Greater. Other symbols on the parish's seal include: a star symbolizing Epiphany and the collect for the First Sunday after Epiphany ("Grant (O Lord) that we may both perceive and know what things (we) ought to do, and may also have grace and power faithfully to fulfill the same"), a pelican pecking its breast (to symbolize Christ's sacrifice as well as the Eucharist), and a fish and loaf (both symbolizing Christ and the gospel story of the loaves and fishes of which at least St. James the Greater was witness). The parish is proud of its longstanding evangelistic outreach tradition.

The J. E. B. Stuart Monument is a deconstructed monument to Confederate general J. E. B. Stuart at the head of historic Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia, which was dedicated in 1907. The equestrian statue of General Stuart was removed from its pedestal and placed into storage on July 7, 2020 after having stood there for 113 years. The removal was in response to nationally reported events of police brutality and a corresponding emergency declaration in Virginia. The granite pedestal, which stood empty for nineteen months, was finally dismantled in February 2022.

The Howitzer Monument was installed in Richmond, Virginia, in the United States. It commemorated the Richmond Howitzers, a Confederate artillery unit. The statue was created by Caspar Buberl. It was located on Virginia Commonwealth University's Monroe Park campus.

St. John's United Church of Christ is a historic church in Richmond, Virginia. It was founded as 'Saint John's German Lutheran Evangelical Church and was called St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church from 1943 to 1962. The congregation formed in 1843 to minister to the very large German immigrant population of Richmond (especially the Carver neighborhood) at the time. The name "German Lutheran Evangelical Church" was selected as its members were Lutherans, but the church has never been affiliated with any Lutheran denomination. It operated independently until 1874 when it affiliated with the German Evangelical Synod of North America, a predecessor of the United Church of Christ.After meeting in member homes for several years, the congregation moved into a new church building on North Fifth Street at Jackson in 1847. It moved into a larger building in 1881, and into its current facilities in 1928. The church houses one of the three remaining intact EM Skinner pipe organs on the East Coast of the United States. One prominent member of St. Johns was Conrad Frederick Sauer, whose family-owned CF Sauer factory exists nearby on Broad Street to this day. [1]. Virginia Governor Mills E. Godwin Jr. and his family were members of this congregation during his first term. St John's was also influential in forming the Gesangsverein Virginia, or "Virginia" German singing society that was a pillar of Richmond's German community and still exists today

The Lee Medical Building is a historic office building located in Richmond, Virginia. It was constructed in 1952, and is a six-story, 40,000-square-foot (3,700 m2) building designed in the Colonial Revival style. The building occupies a prominent site on Monument Avenue in the city, located on a corner lot across from and facing the since-removed Robert E. Lee Monument, and was the first commercial building on that primarily residential street. It resides within the Monument Avenue Historic District, but was built outside of that area's period of significance and so is not a contributing structure. The office building itself was listed to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Congregation Beth Ahabah (meaning "House of Love") is a Reform Jewish synagogue at 1121 West Franklin Street, Richmond, Virginia, in the United States. Founded in 1789 by Spanish and Portuguese Jews as Kahal Kadosh Beth Shalome (meaning "Holy Congregation, House of Peace"), it is one of the oldest synagogues in the United States.
