Los Serranos is a neighborhood within the city of Chino Hills in southwestern San Bernardino County, California. It is named after the Los Serranos Golf Course within the east-central portion of the Chino Hills city limits, near the Chino Valley Freeway (SR 71). The U.S. Census reported Los Serranos as a separate place in the 1990 Census until the low income region was incorporated by the city of Chino Hills on December 1, 1991. Los Serranos Golf Course failed in the stock crash of the late 20s leaving a subdivision divided into narrow golf course bungalows behind. The average lot width is 30 feet. The ZIP code serving the neighborhood is 91709.

Pasinogna (also, Pasinog-na and Passinogna) is a former Tongva-Gabrieleño Native American settlement in San Bernardino County, California.This Indian village, identified by name by Hugo Reid in his seminal work on local tribes in 1852, was not, however, specified by location. It is known that it was located on the Rancho Santa Ana del Chino, in the Chino Hills, near present-day Chino. Probably, like many other villages, where ranchos were later located, it was in the vicinity of the adobe of the Rancho Santa Ana del Chino, near Chino Creek or its tributary Little Chino Creek. That later creek, with Carbon Canyon to its west, would provide an easy route through the Chino Hills that would connect it to the villages of the coastal plain of what is now Orange County.

Rancho Santa Ana del Chino was a 22,193-acre (89.81 km2) Mexican land grant in the Chino Hills and southwestern Pomona Valley, in present-day San Bernardino County, California. It was granted to Antonio Maria Lugo in 1841 by Mexican Alta California Governor Juan Bautista Alvarado. The name literally means "Santa Ana of the Fair Hair," though there have been statements that the ranch was named for a mission mayordomo, or foreman, who had curly hair, "chino" being also a Spanish word for "curly". The rancho site included the present day cities of Chino and Chino Hills.

The Battle of Chino, a skirmish of the Mexican–American War occurred on September 26–27, 1846, during which 24 Americans led by Benjamin D. Wilson, who were hiding in the adobe house of Rancho Santa Ana del Chino, were captured by a group of about 50 Californios.

California Institution for Men (CIM) is a male-only state prison located in the city of Chino, San Bernardino County, California. It is often colloquially referenced as "Chino". In turn, locals call the prison "Chino Men's" or just "Men's" to avoid confusion with the city itself.

Chino Hills State Park is a state park of California, in the United States. It is located in the Chino Hills, foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. It is a critical link in the Chino–Puente Hills wildlife corridor, and a major botanical habitat reserve for resident and migrating wildlife. Visitors can walk, horseback ride, or mountain bike on trails through valleys and along ridge tops through woodlands, sage scrub and grasslands. 60 miles (97 km) of trails and fire roads also offer opportunities for viewing wildlife and native plants. Facilities consist of a picnic area, camping sites, equestrian staging area and corrals, a historic barn, water and restrooms. Most of the trails are multiple mode use. A few trails are designated for hiking only for safety or habitat protection.

Chino Hills High School, abbreviated CHHS, is located in Chino Hills, California, United States and is a public comprehensive high school serving a student body from three cities in the Chino Valley Unified School District. The school was established in 2001 and is located in the City of Chino Hills, which is in the southwest corner of San Bernardino County. The City of Chino Hills was incorporated in 1991, and is now a community of 84,364. Chino Valley Unified School District serves over 29,000 students in Chino, Chino Hills, and south Ontario. The district employs over 2,600 people, and supports thirty-five schools including four comprehensive high schools and one continuation school. The City of Chino Hills is in the midst of housing expansion, with multiple residential building projects under construction in the neighborhoods surrounding Chino Hills High School, and more homes under construction in neighboring Eastvale. This residential expansion is set to bring an enrollment increase to CHHS in the next several years. CHHS currently serves 2,891 students, whose student body reflects both ethnic and economic diversity. Although CHHS attendance area covers the southern portions of the district's three cities, from the hills to the agricultural preserve, 90% of students who attend Chino Hills High School come from Chino Hills. CHHS is the largest high school in the district. CHHS’ graduation rate was 95% in 2011 and 2012, increasing to 96% in 2013. This is above the district rate of 89% and the state rate of 80% in 2013. In 2013, the dropout rate at CHHS was 0.7%, down from 1.2% in 2011. This is lower than the district rate of 2%, the county rate of 4.2%, and the state rate of 3.9% in 2013. CHHS’ dropout rate is consistently less than district, county, and state totals.

Senator Ruben S. Ayala Senior High School, often abbreviated as Ayala High School or AHS, is located in Chino Hills, California. It is one of the four comprehensive high schools in the Chino Valley Unified School District. The school was established in 1990 and named after California state senator Ruben S. Ayala. It received the 2011 California Distinguished School award and the 2015 California Gold Ribbon School Award.

Don Antonio Lugo High School is one of the four high schools of the Chino Valley Unified School District located in Chino, California, United States. The mascot is the Conquistador. Don Lugo High School was founded in 1972, and during that year the school only accepted freshmen. Each following year another freshman class was added until the school had all four classes for the first time in 1980.

The Moyse Building, also known as the Gray Building, is a historic building located at 13150 7th Street in Chino, California. Built in 1887, it is the oldest surviving building in the city. The building has served in several capacities for the city and has played a part in several civic firsts. After W. R. Dawson completed the building, he ran Chino's first post office from it. The second floor housed the city's first school, which had five students its first year. When Chino was first connected to telephone service, the Moyse Building was one of the first buildings with a connection. The building also hosted the city's first communal Thanksgiving celebration, which was led by the Rev. A. B. Orgen. In recent years, the building has housed the Chino Chamber of Commerce.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 28, 1979.

Lollicup Coffee & Tea (Chinese: 樂立杯; pinyin: lè lì bēi), rebranded as Lollicup fresh, is a Taiwanese American chain of tea shops founded by Lollicup USA, Inc., with headquarters in Chino, California. Founded in 2000 by Alan Yu and Marvin Cheng, the company now has dozens of locations and franchises in the United States and China. Formerly known as Lollicup Tea Zone, the fast food chain specializes in bubble tea and coffee. The company manufactures and distributes edible products including "tea leves, drink powders, jellies, syrups, sweeteners, [and] frozen yogurt toppings". As of 2015, the Los Angeles Times reported that Lollicup was distributing 70% of all boba in the United States. Its subsidiary Karat also produces disposable branded plastic and paper cups it sells to other businesses.

Chino ( CHEE-noh; Spanish for "Curly") is a city in the western end of San Bernardino County, California, United States, with Los Angeles County to its west and Orange County to its south in the Southern California region. Chino is adjacent to Chino Hills. Chino's surroundings have long been a center of agriculture and dairy farming, providing milk products in Southern California and much of the southwestern United States. Chino's agricultural history dates back to the Spanish land grant forming Rancho Santa Ana del Chino. The area specialized in fruit orchards, row crops, and dairy. Chino is bounded by Chino Hills and Los Angeles County to the west, Pomona to the northwest, unincorporated San Bernardino County (near Montclair) to the north, Ontario to the northeast, Eastvale to the southeast in Riverside County and Orange County to the southwest. It is easily accessible via the Chino Valley (71) and Pomona (60) freeways. The population was 77,983 at the 2010 census. Downtown Chino is home to satellite branches of the San Bernardino County Library and Chaffey Community College, the Chino Community Theatre, the Chino Boxing Club and a weekly Farmer's Market. In 2008, the city of Chino was awarded the prestigious "100 Best Communities for Youth" award for the second time in three years. Chino hosted shooting events for the 1984 Summer Olympics at the Prado Olympic Shooting Park in the Prado Regional Park.
