Shiloh House in Benton Harbor, Michigan was built in Queen Anne style by the House of David Colony. It was built in 1910 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The House of David (formally The Israelite House of David) is a religious group founded in Benton Harbor, Michigan, in March 1903. It was co-founded by spouses Benjamin Purnell (1861–1927) and Mary Purnell (1862–1953). The Purnells claimed to be the successors to Joanna Southcott (1750–1814), an English woman who had built a following as a self-described religious prophetess. The community flourished in the 1910s, but declined and split in various factions in the 1920s, after Benjamin Purnell was accused of sexual immorality. Today, only a handful of members remain.

Benton Harbor Area Schools is a school district in Benton Harbor, Michigan, United States. The public school district serves the city of Benton Harbor and surrounding areas. The school district has one high school, two elementary schools, and one middle school.

WQYQ (1400 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an alternative rock format. Licensed to St. Joseph, Michigan, it first began broadcasting in 1956 as WSJM. Programming is simulcast on a local translator on 106.1 FM (W291DK). Through the late 1980s and early 1990s, WSJM was a Full-Service Adult Contemporary radio station, with a mixture of pop and oldies music, local personalities, network and local newscasts, evening talk programming (Bruce Williams and Larry King) and play-by-play sports. For many years, the station's slogan was "The Spirit of the Southwest." Before WSJM's 1984 format change to Full-Service A/C, it had a country music format called "The Best in the Country." WSJM started simulcasting on 94.9 FM in early 2008. "The Coast", which had been on that frequency, then moved to 98.3 FM. The WCSY call letters were moved from 98.3 FM to 103.7 FM as part of this three station swap. The WSJM-FM call sign were temporarily placed on 98.3 FM until all moves were complete. "The Coast" changed call letters a few weeks later from "WCNF" to "WCXT". In August 2014, WSJM switched from a news/talk format (simulcast with WSJM-FM 94.9, which continued as a news/talk station). The programming was a mix of Fox Sports Radio, regional sports talk, and local and national play-by-play.On July 20, 2020, WSJM switched from sports to alternative rock, exclusively only mentioning the frequency of the FM translator station. The station changed its call sign to WQYQ at the same time.

The Orchards Mall is an enclosed shopping mall near Benton Harbor, Michigan. Opened in 1979, the mall originally featured Sears and JCPenney as its anchor stores, with Elder-Beerman (later in 2011 known as Carson's) being added in the 1990s. All three anchors have vacated in the 2010s, as has much of the mall's interior, with only three businesses remaining. The mall is owned by Durga LLC.

The Benton Harbor Public Library (BHPL) is a public library located in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The BHPL service area consists of the City of Benton Harbor and Benton Charter Township, Michigan. The library has an extensive reference department and book collection; an auditorium for group activities; and offers free wireless internet access. BHPL is a member of the Southwestern Michigan Library Cooperative. BHPL also participates in the statewide MILibrary library card program.

The Fidelity Building is an office building located at 162 Pipestone Street in Benton Harbor, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. As of 2017, the building contains apartments known as the Meetinghouse at Fidelity.

Benton Harbor is a city in Berrien County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is 46 miles southwest of Kalamazoo and 71 miles southwest of Grand Rapids. According to the 2020 census, its population was 9,103. It is the smaller, by population, of the two principal cities in the Niles–Benton Harbor Metropolitan Statistical Area, an area with 156,813 people. Benton Harbor and the city of St. Joseph are separated by the St. Joseph River and are known locally as the "Twin Cities". Fairplain and Benton Heights are unincorporated areas adjacent to Benton Harbor.
