Kirtlington Park

Kirtlington is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire about 6+1⁄2 miles (10.5 km) west of Bicester. The parish includes the hamlet of Northbrook. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 988.The parish measures nearly 3 miles (5 km) north–south and about 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) east–west. It is bounded by the River Cherwell to the west, and elsewhere mostly by field boundaries. In 1959 its area was 3,582 acres (1,450 ha).

Bicester and Woodstock is a constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. It was created as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, being first contested at the 2024 general election. The incumbent Member of Parliament is Calum Miller of the Liberal Democrats.

Kirtlington Quarry is a 3.1-hectare (7.7-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Kirtlington in Oxfordshire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site, and it is part of the 7.4-hectare (18-acre) Kirtlington Quarry Local Nature Reserve.Kirtlington Quarry is one of the most important Middle Jurassic vertebrate localities in the world. It dates to the Upper Bathonian, around 166 million years ago, and is part of the Forest Marble Formation. Numerous species of extinct mammal have been found. There are also fossils of theropod dinosaurs, crocodilians, pterosaurs, fishes and many shark teeth.

Bletchingdon (also known as Bletchington) is a village and civil parish 2 miles (3 km) north of Kidlington and 6 miles (10 km) southwest of Bicester in Oxfordshire, England. Bletchingdon parish includes the hamlet of Enslow just over 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the village. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 910.

Weston Fen is a 14-hectare (35-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Weston-on-the-Green in Oxfordshire.This site has diverse habitats, including a fast-flowing stream, species-rich, calcareous fen, willow carr, hazel woodland, limestone grassland and marshy grassland. There are several rare species of beetle, such as Sphaerius acaroides, Eubria palustris, Silis ruficollis and Agabus biguttatus.The site is private land, but a public footpath runs through it.

Aves Ditch (also known as Ash Bank, or Wattle Bank) is an Iron Age ditch and bank structure running about 3 miles (4.8 km) on a northeast to southwest alignment in the Cherwell District of Oxfordshire. It was once believed to have been a Roman road but excavation has shown it to be a boundary dyke of Iron Age date that was reused in the Anglo-Saxon period. A skull found in the ditch was dated to the Anglo-Saxon period. It now forms the boundary between the civil parishes of Lower Heyford and Middleton Stoney. Both Sauer and Lambrick have suggested that the Aves Ditch along with the North Oxfordshire Grim’s Ditch and the South Oxfordshire Grim’s Ditch may have formed the boundary between the Iron Age tribes of the Dobunni and the Catuvellauni.

Tackley railway station is on the Cherwell Valley Line in Oxfordshire, England, serving the village of Tackley and its surrounding area. Great Western Railway operates the station and all but one of the trains serving it. The exception is a weekday late night service to Banbury operated by Chiltern Railways. Measured via Didcot Parkway the station is 72 miles 50 chains (116.9 km) from London Paddington.

RAF Weston-on-the-Green is a Royal Air Force station that was redeveloped after the Great War period. Much demolition took place (including the original 1916/1917 hangars). The former RFC Officers and Sergeant's messes are located on the opposite side of the road, and are now in commercial use. Weston-on-the-Green is a village and civil parish in the Cherwell district of Oxfordshire, England, about 4 miles (6 km) southwest of Bicester. The 2011 Census recorded the parish population as 523.

Crecy Hill is a 0.8-hectare (2.0-acre) Local Nature Reserve north of Tackley in Oxfordshire. It is owned by Oxford County Council and managed by Tackley Parish Council.This steeply sloping limestone bank has a calcareous grassland habitat. More than 100 wild flower species and 15 grasses have been recorded. There are also more than 100 insect species, including 20 butterflies such as the small blue.As of March 2020, the main entrance is padlocked, but there is access at the southern end of the site.
