Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron is a yacht club located at St Kilda Beach in the suburb of St. Kilda in Melbourne, Australia. The squadron was founded in 1876. It has occupied its grounds on Pier Road in St Kilda since prior to incorporation.

The St Kilda Sea Baths is a pool, spa, food and entertainment complex on St Kilda Beach, Victoria, Australia. Numerous 'seabath' structures have come and gone on the St Kilda foreshore, the last built in a Spanish- Moorish style in 1931, which was demolished in the 1990s and replaced by the present structure, partly reconstructing the 1931 baths.

Alfred Square is a park in St. Kilda, Melbourne abutting The Esplanade, it is bounded by low stone walls on the south and west, and crossed by paths. It contains memorials to the South Africa (2nd Boer) War and Victoria Cross recipients as well as a commemorative plaque for the first recorded building in St Kilda.

The Prince of Wales Hotel is a hotel and music venue located at 29 Fitzroy Street in St Kilda, an inner bayside suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It opened in 1862 and was rebuilt in a moderne art deco style in 1936. From this time, it attracted a homosexual clientele, and continues to house Victoria's oldest surviving gay bar.During World War II, the hotel served as a headquarters for the United States military forces stationed in Melbourne under General Douglas MacArthur. In the late 1970s, alongside other St Kilda venues, namely the Crystal Ballroom and the Esplanade Hotel, the Prince Bandroom became a hub of punk rock and other forms of alternative music.

The St. Moritz Ice Rink was a popular ice rink housed in a grand venue on The Esplanade, St. Kilda, Victoria, which operated between 1939–1981. As one of only two ice rinks in Melbourne in the 40s and 50s, it played a central role to the sport of ice hockey in Australia. Closed in 1982, it soon suffered a major fire and was then demolished, an event later seen as a major blow to the heritage of St Kilda.

The St Kilda Pier in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia, is home to a colony of Little penguins, the St Kilda Pavilion, as well as the Marina of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron. It was first built in 1853 as a small private timber jetty by the St Kilda Pier and Jetty company, but destroyed the same year, and rebuilt by 1855 as a public pier. It was extended many times, until it became a 1944 ft pier with stone groins. A shelter at the beach end, a breakwater and an L shaped extension sheltering the St Kilda Yacht Club by the 1880s. Moorings for the Port Phillip Bay excursion steamers were added in 1893, and the Pavilion was added in 1904. The pier became a favourite destination for promenading, fishing, excursions and small boat moorings for much of the 20th century, as St Kilda became Melbourne's entertainment district and most popular beach. The breakwater had been built in timber, and in 1955 was replaced with a rubble stone one. In the 1970s, the timber pier was replaced with a concrete one, and the breakwater extended. Little penguins breeding amongst the rocks of the breakwater were first documented in 1974, with 100 altogether identified by 1989. They now number about 1200, and public viewing is a popular attraction.In 2017, with the pier nearing the end of its design life, Parks Victoria, the owner of bayside infrastructure in Victoria, announced a plan to replace the current one, with two options.The pier remains a favourite destination for visitors to the St Kilda foreshore, with a walk to the end and back a popular activity.

St Kilda West is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km south of the central business district. Its local government area is the City of Port Phillip. At the 2016 Census, St Kilda West had a population of 3,162. St Kilda West is bounded by Albert Park and Canterbury Road in the north-east and south-east, West Beach Road, Scoops Lane and Beaconsfield Parade in the south-west, Port Phillip Bay in the west, and Fraser Street in the north and north-west. Fraser Street was the western boundary of the former City of St Kilda, now part of the City of Port Phillip. It is an almost exclusively residential area characterised by a mix of Victorian terraces, modest Edwardian villas, interwar and post war walk-up flats, as well as some 1960s-70s hi-rise towers facing Port Phillip bay. The suburb's community and commercial facilities (including schools and shops) are located in nearby suburbs, and it is well served by public transport.

The Palace was an entertainment complex located in St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia. It was built in 1972 on the site of the former Palais de Danse, which had burned down in 1968. It hosted both local and international bands and performances over thirty-five years, before its closure on 12 June 2007 after a lengthy legal battle between the Victorian state government and The Palace's former operators, Bradto Pty. Ltd.Less than a month after its closure, on 11 July 2007, the building was badly damaged by a fire. Half of the former nightclub was destroyed. Seventy firefighters fought the blaze which brought Jacka Boulevard to a standstill. They were forced to fight the fire from outside the building as vandalism to the dancefloor had made it too dangerous to fight from the inside. It took an hour and a half to control the blaze. The arson squad investigated how the fire started, determining the fire was fuelled by rolled up carpet and chipboard which had been pulled from the roof and ceiling. The building has subsequently been completely demolished.

Acland Street is a street in the Melbourne suburb of St Kilda, which enjoys great popularity as a recreational area, mainly due to its many restaurants and its proximity to the entertainment areas along St Kilda beach Acland Street runs on a north-west to south-east axis between Fitzroy and Barkly Streets. It was one of the first streets laid out when St Kilda was surveyed in 1842. The north-west end of the street is largely residential, and features many fine houses from the late 19th century, some of them converted to flats or other uses, such as the Linden Gallery, and earlier, Acland Street Gallery, which was at number 18, and closed in 1990. The south-east end of the street, between Carlisle and Barkly Streets, is a commercial strip. The section of Acland Street between Barkly Street and Carlisle Street is a tram zone where route 96 terminates.

The Palais Theatre (originally Palais Pictures) is an historic picture palace located in St Kilda, and inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. With a capacity of nearly 3,000 people, it is the largest seated theatre in Australia. Replacing an earlier cinema of the same name destroyed in a fire, the new theatre, designed by Henry Eli White, opened in 1927. Sitting adjacent to Luna Park, it helped to establish the St Kilda beach foreshore as an entertainment precinct, and remains an iconic landmark in the area. Over time, it became known primarily as a music venue, and has also hosted ballet performances, operas and stand-up comedy shows. The Palais is included on the Victorian Heritage Register, and in 2015, it was inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame.

The Great Scenic Railway is a heritage-listed wooden roller coaster located at Luna Park Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. The roller coaster is the oldest operating roller coaster in the Southern Hemisphere and the second-oldest in the world. The ride is one of only seven rollers coasters remaining that requires a brakeman to stand on the train.
