Seymour High School (Connecticut)

Seymour is a town located in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 16,748 at the 2020 census. Seymour is bordered by the towns of Oxford and Beacon Falls to the north, Bethany and Woodbridge to the east, Ansonia and Derby to the south, and Shelton to the west.

The Sanford-Humphreys House is a historic house at 61-63 West Street in Seymour, Connecticut. The house has a construction history dating to the 1790s, and is associated with two prominent figures in Seymour's history: Samuel Sanford, the area's first doctor, and General David Humphreys, a soldier, diplomat, and businessman who developed the first textile mills in the area. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Downtown Seymour Historic District encompasses most of the historic downtown of Seymour, Connecticut. Sandwiched between Connecticut Route 8 and the tracks of the former Naugatuck Railroad line, now the Waterbury Branch, it developed in the mid-19th century as a successful industrial center dominated by the production of brass goods. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Wooster Sawmill and Gristmill Site is a historic industrial site on Park Street in Oxford, Connecticut. From at least 1747 until 1965 it was operated as a sawmill, gristmill, and cider mill, giving it one of the longest known histories as a water-powered mill complex in the United States. The surviving elements of the complex, its structures now converted to private residential use, were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Great Hill Cemetery is a cemetery in Seymour, Connecticut, also known as Hookman's cemetery. The site was established in the 18th century, and it is still active today. It is located in a section of woods known as Great Hill.

Woodland Regional High School is a high school located in the western part of Beacon Falls, Connecticut, near the town line shared with Oxford. The school is operated by Regional School District 16. The school mascot is Harry the hawk. Students residing in the towns of Beacon Falls and Prospect in grades 9 through 12 attend the school.

Oxford High School is a public high school in Oxford, Connecticut, United States, operated by Oxford Public Schools. In spring 2013, there were 592 students enrolled in grades 9 to 12.

The Upper Main Street Historic District encompasses a collection of mainly late-19th-century commercial buildings on Main Street in downtown Ansonia, Connecticut. Extending south from Maple Street, the district exemplifies the rapid commercial growth of the city at that time. Its most prominent feature is the Ansonia Opera House, built 1870. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Ansonia Library is the public library serving Ansonia, Connecticut. It is located at 53 South Cliff, in an architecturally distinguished Richardsonian Romanesque building designed by Connecticut architect George Keller and completed in 1892 as a gift from Caroline Phelps Stokes. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 23, 1985.

WADS (690 AM; "Radio Amor") is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish language Christian radio format, licensed to Ansonia, Connecticut, it serves the Bridgeport area. The station is currently owned by Radio Amor, Inc. WADS has been silent since August 12, 2022, due to losing its transmission site.
