The Suriname-Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, native name Suriname-Nederland Kamer van Koophandel, is a chamber of commerce with the goal to improve the entrepreneurial infrastructure en promote commerce between Suriname and the Netherlands.The Chamber has been established in the building of the embassy of Suriname in The Hague. At the Chamber it is possible to found a Surinamese company in the Netherlands. In the run-up to the establishment, fifteen individuals in the Netherlands were preparing for a business venture in Suriname.The organization was founded on 9 Mai 2018 in the embassy in The Hague. The initiative as taken by the embassy in cooperation with the Surinaams-Nederlandse Diaspora Associatie (SuNeDa), which maintains close contacts with the Surinamese Chamber of Commerce and Factories and ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism. Signatories were the director of the ministry, Reina Raveles, and Vijay Gangadin of Diaspora Focal Point; Gangadin is since then the chairman of the Chamber. Ad-interim minister Mike Noersalim performed the official opening ceremony.In October 2018, a Dutch-Chinese trade mission to Suriname was organized from the Chamber.

Zorgvliet (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzɔr(ə)xflit]) is a neighbourhood in the Scheveningen district of The Hague, Netherlands. It is named after the estate of the same name, once owned by the poet and writer Jacob Cats, (since then called the Catshuis), later by 18th century politician Willem Bentinck van Rhoon and later again becoming the official residence of the Dutch Prime Minister. It has 377 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) and covers an area of 876 hectares (3.38 sq mi). It is bordered by the Laan van Meerdervoort, the Groot Hertoginnelaan, the Stadhouderslaan, the Stadhoudersplantsoen and the Eisenhowerlaan. Zorgvliet is the location of The Hague's "international zone", which is home to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Europol and the World Forum Convention Center. The Peace Palace, housing the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the International Court of Justice, is also located in Zorgvliet. Moreover, Zorgvliet is the location of the Museum Mesdag, Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and Museon.

Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet, or Sorghvliet for short, is an independent Protestant gymnasium in The Hague. Sorghvliet is consistently ranked in the top 10 schools in the Netherlands by the influential magazine Elsevier. Sorghvliet has a long list of notable alumni, including multiple Dutch politicians, writers, athletes, entrepreneurs, members of the Dutch Royal family, and scientists, including one Nobel Prize winner. There is a long-standing, friendly rivalry between Sorghvliet and another independent gymnasium in The Hague, the Haganum.

The Catshuis (English: Cats House), initially known as Huis Sorgvliet (Sorgvliet House), is the official residence of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. Built between 1651 and 1652 for Jacob Cats as private villa, it was renamed after him after his death. The Catshuis lies in The Hague on the road to Scheveningen. It has been the official residence of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands since 1963, although Dries van Agt was the last premier to live there. Prime Ministers since then have preferred to live in their own homes, such as the current Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who lives in a flat in the centre of The Hague, closer to his official office, the Torentje in the Binnenhof complex. The Catshuis residence is mainly used to house political meetings and receive official guests.

The death of Hsu Tsu-tsai, a 42-year-old Chinese engineer, in July 1966 in The Hague, Netherlands caused a diplomatic incident between the Netherlands and China. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Hsu's injuries and death, apparently resulting from his attempted defection, resulted in a twenty-four-week siege of the Chinese legation as Dutch authorities sought to question his colleagues and consular officials, and the suspension of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and China.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is an intergovernmental organisation and the implementing body for the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), which entered into force on 29 April 1997. The OPCW, with its 193 member states, has its seat in The Hague, Netherlands; it oversees the global endeavour for the permanent and verifiable elimination of chemical weapons. The organisation promotes and verifies the adherence to the Chemical Weapons Convention, which prohibits the use of chemical weapons and requires their destruction. Verification consists both of evaluation of declarations by member states and onsite inspections. The organisation was awarded the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize "for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons". Nobel Committee chairman Thorbjørn Jagland said, "The conventions and the work of the OPCW have defined the use of chemical weapons as a taboo under international law".

The Embassy of Sweden, The Hague is the diplomatic mission of Sweden in The Hague. The Netherlands is the first country with which Sweden exchanged permanent ambassadors, a relationship established in 1614. The embassy's primary role is to monitor, represent, and advance Swedish interests within the Netherlands and international organizations based in The Hague. Its responsibilities include providing services to Swedish authorities, businesses, organizations, and citizens. The embassy regularly reports to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm, offering insights into political and economic developments, as well as the country's stance on global events. A key focus is promoting Swedish economic interests by aiding Swedish companies and attracting foreign investments to Sweden, collaborating closely with Business Sweden in The Hague and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam. Additionally, the embassy handles consular matters. It also engages in promoting Sweden through seminars, exhibitions, and cultural events.

Meet the Future, Science & Technology Summit 2010 was a one-day science and technology convention held at the World Forum Convention Center in The Hague, Netherlands on November 18, 2010, organized by Platform Bèta Techniek (PBT), an organization which has been empowered by the Dutch government to increase the number of beta students in the Netherlands. The summit offered Dutch science and technology related companies and educational institutions an opportunity to showcase their latest products, research and developments. There was a gathering with selected international guests on the following day (November 19).

The Kunstmuseum Den Haag is an art museum in The Hague in the Netherlands, founded in 1866 as the 'Museum voor Moderne Kunst'. Later, until 1998, it was known as 'Haags Gemeentemuseum', and until the end of September 2019 as 'Gemeentemuseum Den Haag'. It is renowned for its large Mondrian collection, the largest in the world. His last work, Victory Boogie-Woogie, is on display here. The museum building was constructed between 1931–1935, designed by the Dutch architect H.P. Berlage.The KM21 (museum for contemporary art) and Fotomuseum Den Haag (The Hague museum for photography) are part of the Kunstmuseum, though not housed in the same building and with a separate entrance fee.

The Laan van Meerdervoort (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlaːɱ vɑˈmeːrdərvoːrt]) is an avenue in The Hague. At a length of 5.8 km, it is (as of 2011) the longest avenue in the Netherlands.The Laan van Meerdervoort is more or less an isogloss of two subvarieties of The Hague dialect. The posher variety called dàftig, Haegs or bekakt Haags is spoken roughly north of it, whereas a low-class variety called plat Haags or Hèègs is spoken roughly south of the Laan van Meerdervort.

Museon is a museum for science and culture in The Hague, Netherlands. It has collections in the domains of geology, biology, archaeology, history, science and ethnology.

Germany was represented by the Les Humphries Singers, with the song "Sing Sang Song", at the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 3 April in The Hague. "Sing Sang Song" originally placed runner-up in the German national final but became the German entry when the winner, "Der Star" by Tony Marshall, was disqualified.
