The Who concert disaster was a crowd disaster that occurred on December 3, 1979, when British rock band The Who performed at Riverfront Coliseum (now known as Heritage Bank Center) in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, and a rush of concert-goers outside the Coliseum's entry doors resulted in the deaths of 11 people.

Heritage Bank Center is an indoor arena located in downtown Cincinnati, next to the Great American Ball Park. It was completed in September 1975 and named Riverfront Coliseum because of its placement next to Riverfront Stadium. In 1997, the facility became known as The Crown, and in 1999, it changed its name again to Firstar Center after Firstar Bank assumed naming rights. In 2002, following Firstar's merger with U.S. Bank, the arena took on the name U.S. Bank Arena and kept that name until 2019. The arena seats 17,556 people and is the largest indoor arena in the Greater Cincinnati region with 346,100 square feet (32,150 m2) of space. The arena underwent a $14 million renovation project in 1997. The current main tenant is the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

Reds Legends of Crosley Field is a group of bronze sculptures by artist Tom Tsuchiya, located at the main entrance of Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. The sculptures represent four Crosley Field era Cincinnati Reds players: Ted Kluszewski, Ernie Lombardi, Joe Nuxhall and Frank Robinson. These players were selected by a fan vote conducted by the Cincinnati Reds.Kluszewski's statue was unveiled on Opening Day, March 31, 2003, to coincide with the official opening of Great American Ball Park. The statues of Nuxhall and Robinson were dedicated in the summer of that year. Subsequently, Lombardi's statue was unveiled on June 28, 2004.

Great American Ball Park is a baseball stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is the home field of Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds. It opened in 2003, replacing Cinergy Field (formerly Riverfront Stadium), their home field from 1970 to 2002.Great American Insurance bought the naming rights to the stadium for $75 million over 30 years.

The Cincinnati Public Landing is the landing on the banks of the Ohio River in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The Cincinnati Public Landing by 1825 had shipbuilding facilities. It was described in 1841 as a space of nearly 10 acres (4 ha), with a front of almost 1,000 feet (305 m). In the age of steamboat transport, the public landing was frequently jammed with riverboat traffic with 5,000 arrivals and departures per season.The historic showboat Majestic was moored at the Public Landing until it was sold in 2019 at public auction and relocated to Manchester, Ohio.

Riverfront Stadium, also known as Cinergy Field from 1996 to 2002, was a multi-purpose stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States that was the home of the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball from 1970 through 2002 and the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League from 1970 to 1999. Located on the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati, the stadium was best known as the home of "The Big Red Machine", as the Reds were often called in the 1970s. Construction began on February 1, 1968, and was completed at a cost of less than $50 million. Riverfront's grand opening was held on June 30, 1970, an 8-2 Reds loss to the Atlanta Braves. Braves right fielder Hank Aaron hit the first home run in Riverfront's history, a two-run shot in the first inning which also served as the stadium's first runs batted in. Two weeks later on July 14, 1970, Riverfront hosted the 1970 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. This game is best remembered for the often-replayed collision at home plate between Reds star Pete Rose and catcher Ray Fosse of the Cleveland Indians. In September 1996, Riverfront Stadium was renamed "Cinergy Field" in a sponsorship deal with Greater Cincinnati energy company Cinergy. In 2001, to make room for Great American Ball Park, the seating capacity at Cinergy Field was reduced to 39,000. There was a huge in-play wall in center field visible after the renovations, to serve as the batter's eye. The stadium was demolished by implosion on December 29, 2002.

The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum is an entity established by Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds franchise that pays homage to the team's past through displays, photographs and multimedia. It was instituted in 1958 to recognize the career of former Cincinnati Reds players, managers and front-office executives. It is adjacent to Great American Ball Park on the banks of the Ohio River. Currently, the Hall of Fame section is home to 81 inductees. These inductees include players, managers & executives who were involved in Cincinnati's baseball legacy, which dates back to 1869, the year the original Cincinnati Red Stockings took the field. Inductions take place every other year.

Fort Washington was a fortified stockade with blockhouses built by order of Gen. Josiah Harmar starting in summer 1789 in what is now downtown Cincinnati, Ohio near the Ohio River. The physical location of the fort was facing the mouth of the Licking River, above present day Fort Washington Way. The fort was named in honor of President George Washington. The Fort was the major staging place and conduit for settlers, troops and supplies during the settlement of the Northwest Territory. In 1803, the fort was moved to Newport, KY across the river and became the Newport Barracks. In 1806, the site of the abandoned fort was divided into lots and sold.

The Great American Tower at Queen City Square, is a 41-story, 665-foot-tall (203 m) skyscraper in Cincinnati, Ohio which opened in January 2011. The tower was built by Western & Southern Financial Group at a cost of $322 million including $65 million of taxpayer-funded subsidies. Construction on the tower had begun in July 2008. Half the building is occupied by the headquarters of the Great American Insurance Company. It is currently the third tallest building in the state of Ohio, and the tallest outside of Cleveland.

Police Station No. 2 is a registered historic building in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, listed in the National Register on May 18, 1981. Police Station No. 2 is a contributing property to the Lytle Park Historic District.

Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. is a private beer company that began production in 1853 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by German immigrant Christian Moerlein. Before closing its doors in 1919 as result of prohibition, Christian Moerlein was among the ten largest American breweries by volume. In 1981, the brand was revived by the Hudepohl Brewing Company as a "better beer" a precursor to the craft beer category and is considered a pioneer craft beer of the craft beer movement. In 1999, Hudepohl-Schoenling Brewing Co. sold out to a group of out-of-towners, a sale that included the Christian Moerlein craft beer brand. In 2004, Greg Hardman, a Cincinnati resident, purchased Christian Moerlein, as well as 65 other historic Cincinnati brands, returning local ownership to Cincinnati and eventually relocated brewing to the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood in 2010. Hardman also led the opening of the Christian Moerlein Lager House at The Banks development in February 2012. In late 2019, a new group led by Jay Woffington purchased an ownership stake in the company renaming the enterprise to Cincinnati Beverage Company (CinBev). In part due to the COVID-19 pandemic and reports of slipping product quality the company closed the Moore Street brewing facility and fired Greg Hardman in early December 2020. In March 2021 a complete rebrand of the lineup of beers was announced.

Guilford School is a historic former schoolhouse, now housing commercial offices, on the east side of Downtown Cincinnati at 421 E 4th Street. The building is adjacent to Lytle Park is a contributing property to the Lytle Park Historic District. Guilford School was dedicated May 16, 1914, and named for Nathan Guilford (1786-1854), an early advocate for Ohio education. The building stands on the site of Fort Washington and later also the boardinghouse where Stephen Foster, then a steamboat worker, stayed from 1846 to 1850. It was designed by Frederick W. Garber. It is now owned by Western & Southern Life Insurance.
