The Visayas Command (abbrv. as VISCOM) is the Armed Forces of the Philippines' unified command in charge of all the visayas islands. It is responsible for the defense of these areas against external aggression, as well as combating terrorism and insurgency. It was formerly known as the Central Command (CENTCOM) before being effectively renamed on 11 August 2021 based on the approved memorandum from the Department of National Defense.

The Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, operated as the Cebu Plaza Hotel from 1983 to 2003, is a hotel in Cebu City, Philippines. It first opened in 1983 by a corporation lef by Anos Fonacier with the help of his connections in the then-government of President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.. The hotel experienced labor strikes following the removal of Marcos Sr. as president shortly after the People Power Revolution of 1986. It was seized by the succeeding administration of president Corazon Aquino the following year. The hotel continues to experience labor issues under the management of its new owners Pathfinder. The hotel then closed in 2003 after its foreclosure to Metrobank. Metrobank then partnered with Marco Polo Hotels to redevelop the property into the Metro Polo Plaza Cebu and was reopened in 2006.

It has a gross leasable area (GLA) of 45,000 square meters. The mall opened on December 6, 2019.

The park is envisioned to attract locators in the information technology industry. It is developed by Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Cebu Holdings, Inc., in turn a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ayala Land.

The Visayas leg of the PiliPinas Debates 2016 is the second presidential debate of the 2016 Philippine elections, held at the Performing Arts Hall of the University of the Philippines in Cebu City on March 20, 2016. It was organized by COMELEC and KBP with TV5, Philippine Star, and BusinessWorld as media partners. The debate was moderated by News5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes, along with panelists Ed Lingao and Lourd de Veyra of News5, Philippine Star editor-in-chief Ana Marie Pamintuan, Philippine Star associate editor Marichu Villanueva, Bloomberg TV Philippines host Atty. Tony Abad and RMN DYHP Cebu commentator Atty. Ruphil Bañoc. Presidential candidate Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago decided to skip this debate to undertake clinical trials on a new anti-cancer drug.
