Cebu Taoist Temple (simplified Chinese: 宿雾定光宝殿; traditional Chinese: 宿霧定光寶殿; pinyin: Sùwù Dìngguāng Bǎodiàn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Siok-bū Tēng-kng Pó-tiān) is a Taoist temple located in Beverly Hills Subdivision of Cebu City, Philippines.

Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) is a jail facility in Cebu, in Cebu Province, Philippines. It is a maximum security facility with a capacity for 1,600 inmates.The prison became well known for its rehabilitation program in 2005-2010 based on a program of choreographed exercise routines for the inmates. Known as CPDRC Dancing Inmates, the recordings of the various routines of the prisoners online supervised by the head of the prison Byron F. Garcia rendered them an international online celebrity sensation and phenomenon.

The Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, operated as the Cebu Plaza Hotel from 1983 to 2003, is a hotel in Cebu City, Philippines. It first opened in 1983 by a corporation lef by Anos Fonacier with the help of his connections in the then-government of President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.. The hotel experienced labor strikes following the removal of Marcos Sr. as president shortly after the People Power Revolution of 1986. It was seized by the succeeding administration of president Corazon Aquino the following year. The hotel continues to experience labor issues under the management of its new owners Pathfinder. The hotel then closed in 2003 after its foreclosure to Metrobank. Metrobank then partnered with Marco Polo Hotels to redevelop the property into the Metro Polo Plaza Cebu and was reopened in 2006.

The Cebu City Philippines Temple is the 133rd operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Located in Lahug in Cebu City, it is the second LDS temple in the Philippines.

Camp Lapu-Lapu is a military installation of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in the Lahug District of Cebu City, Philippines. It is currently the headquarters of the AFP Visayas Command, although in October 2022 it was announced that the AFP Visayas Command would relocate their headquarters after the Cebu provincial government announced that they would take back the land on which the camp stands.During the Marcos dictatorship, it was designated as one of the four provincial camps to become a Regional Command for Detainees (RECAD). It was designated RECAD III, housing prisoners from throughout the Visayas. Political detainees were typically brought there after initially being detained in other camps, such as nearby Camp Sergio Osmeña.

The Visayas Command (abbrv. as VISCOM) is the Armed Forces of the Philippines' unified command in charge of all the visayas islands. It is responsible for the defense of these areas against external aggression, as well as combating terrorism and insurgency. The University of the Philippines Cebu (Cebuano: Unibersidad sa Pilipinas sa Sugbo; Filipino: Unibersidad ng Pilipinas sa Cebu; also referred to as UPC or UP Cebu) is a public research university and the youngest constituent university of the University of the Philippines System located in Cebu City, the capital city of Cebu province in the Philippines. It was founded on May 3, 1918, ten years after the founding of UP in 1908.UP Cebu was formerly under the administrative supervision of UP Visayas, along with three other satellite campuses, namely Miag-ao campus, Iloilo City campus and Tacloban College. On September 24, 2010, the UP Board of Regents elevated the status of UP Cebu to that of an autonomous unit, in preparation for its elevation to the status of a constituent university of the UP System in around five to seven years. On October 27, 2016, UP Cebu was elevated to constituent university status.The college has two campuses. The Lahug campus is located in Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City. It occupies a 12-hectare site which was donated by the Cebu Provincial Government in 1929; however, a fraction of the land is occupied by informal settlers. The new UP Cebu SRP campus features the UP Professional Schools which offers degree programs such as Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science, Master of Education and Master of Science in Environmental Studies. In 2007, the Philippines' Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognized UP Cebu as a National Center of Excellence (COE) in Information Technology.

The Visayas leg of the PiliPinas Debates 2016 is the second presidential debate of the 2016 Philippine elections, held at the Performing Arts Hall of the University of the Philippines in Cebu City on March 20, 2016. It was organized by COMELEC and KBP with TV5, Philippine Star, and BusinessWorld as media partners. The debate was moderated by News5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes, along with panelists Ed Lingao and Lourd de Veyra of News5, Philippine Star editor-in-chief Ana Marie Pamintuan, Philippine Star associate editor Marichu Villanueva, Bloomberg TV Philippines host Atty. Tony Abad and RMN DYHP Cebu commentator Atty. Ruphil Bañoc. The program aired from 4:30pm – 10:00pm (UTC+8) due to delays caused by miscommunication between the camp of Jejomar Binay and moderator Luchi Cruz-Valdez. Presidential candidate Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago decided to skip this debate to undertake clinical trials on a new anti-cancer drug.

The Cebu Exchange is an office skyscraper in Cebu City, Philippines. With the height of 164 m (538 ft), it is the tallest office building in Metro Cebu. It is also the largest single-building office development in the Philippines, with Cebu Exchange hosting a gross floor area of 108,490 m2 (1,167,800 sq ft).

The Cebu Provincial Capitol is the seat of the provincial government of Cebu in the Philippines. Located at the north end of Osmeña Boulevard in Cebu City, it was designed by Juan M. Arellano, a Filipino architect best known for the Manila Metropolitan Theater (1935), the Legislative Building (1926; now the National Museum of the Philippines), and the Manila Central Post Office (1926). An inscription on the central concave portion of its façade reads, "The authority of the government emanates from the people. Erected A.D. MCMXXXVII." It is also the same venue, which held the second inauguration of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in June 2004.
