Saltburn Lifeboat Station was located at Marine Terrace, on Saltburn Road, adjacent to the Ship Inn, just to the east side of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, on the coast of North Yorkshire. A lifeboat was first stationed at Saltburn in 1849 by the Tees Bay Lifeboat and Shipwreck Society (TBLSS). Management of the station was transferred to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1858. After 73 years service, Saltburn Lifeboat Station closed in 1922.

Skelton Beck is a small river in North Yorkshire, England. The beck only runs for 23 kilometres (14 mi) and feeds directly into the North Sea on the south side of Saltburn beach. The beck is noted for occasionally being polluted with wastewater from the abandoned ironstone workings in its headwaters.

The Saltburn Cliff Lift is a funicular railway in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Redcar and Cleveland in the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It provides access to Saltburn Pier and the seafront from the town. The cliff lift is the oldest operating water-balance cliff funicular in the United Kingdom.The Lift, constructed between 1883 and 1884, replaced an 1870 vertical cliff hoist. It has a height of 120 feet (37 m) and a track length of 207 feet (63 m), resulting in a 71 per cent incline. A pair of 12-person cars, each fitted with a 240-imperial-gallon (1,100 L; 290 US gal) water tank, run on parallel tracks; by removing or adding the water to their tanks, movement is achieved, regulated by a brakeman at the top. The original cars have been replaced with aluminium counterparts and the top station restored, but little of the underlying mechanism has been changed since it was installed. Owned since the Second World War by the unitary authority of Redcar and Cleveland and its predecessors, the lift remains in regular use between March and October each year. It is one of Saltburn's most popular tourist attractions. Reportedly, the service was being used by an estimated 150,000 passengers per year by the twenty-first century.

Saltburn Pier is a pier located in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Redcar and Cleveland and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It is the last pier remaining in Yorkshire.

Saltburn-by-the-Sea, commonly referred to as Saltburn, is a seaside town in the civil parish of Saltburn, Marske and New Marske, Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England, around 12 miles (19 km) south-east of Hartlepool and just under 5 miles (8 km) south-east of Redcar. It lies within the historic boundaries of the North Riding of Yorkshire. It had a population of 5,958 in 2011.The development of Middlesbrough and Saltburn was driven by the discovery of ironstone in the Cleveland Hills and the building of two railways to transport the minerals.

The station, situated 12 miles 57 chains (20.5 km) east of Middlesbrough, serves the seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire, England. It is owned by Network Rail and managed by Northern Trains.

Langbaurgh East was a wapentake of the North Riding of Yorkshire, the eastern division of Langbaurgh, England. The name is now in use as a local justice area (formerly a petty sessional division), consisting of the eastern, mostly rural part of the borough of Redcar and Cleveland. The East Wapentake in particular covered roughly the area of modern-day Redcar & Cleveland and the northernmost parts of the Scarborough district. The boundary roughly follows from Wilton along to Redcar in the north and all the way down to Whitby in the south across to Danby, west of Whitby then back up along the Cleveland Hills back up to Wilton.

Saltburn Gill (grid reference NZ676205) is an 19.11 hectares (47.2 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Redcar and Cleveland district, in the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. The site was notified in 1986. The "gill" in the name is a dialectal word meaning "ravine, narrow valley". In May 1999, the colour of the water in Saltburn Gill turned orange overnight. An investigation found the cause to be rising water levels in the abandoned Longacres Ironstone Mine in Skelton-in-Cleveland. A remediation programme was undertaken throughout the 2000s and 2010s, which resulted in clear water and fish returning to the gill in 2016.

Huntcliff School is a co-educational secondary school located in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, a town in the north-east of England. At the Ofsted inspection of 2019, the school had a register of 540 pupils.The first school on the site, opened in 1960, was called the County Modern School.In 2007 work began on a new secondary school on the same site, to replace the current buildings, and re-opened in September 2008. This work resulted in the demolition of two school buildings which had been constructed only a few years earlier, as they could not be incorporated into the new campus. In a second phase of construction, a replacement for Saltburn Primary School was planned. The scheme had a total budget of £15 million.Huntcliff Secondary School is now based on Saltburn Learning Campus. In September 2009, Saltburn Primary School (whose previous buildings were based in two separate locations in the town) joined Huntcliff School within a separate wing of Saltburn Learning Campus - this was officially opened by author Gervase Phinn. Saltburn Children's Centre is also based on the campus grounds. Huntcliff School currently has 536 students on roll, consisting of those from Saltburn and its surrounding areas. It offers a variety of curriculum subjects, including the core subjects of English, Maths and Science, as well as History, Geography, Art & Design, Technology, ICT, Performing Arts, Modern Foreign Languages, PE, Sport Science, Life Skills, Photography and Media Studies. Additional subjects were previously available to students, such as AS Level Politics and Further Maths. Huntcliff School has a secure partnership with the No. 17 Middle School in Bao Ding, China, which has been established for at least 3 years. In 2010, Huntcliff students and staff visited their partner school for a 10-day-long visit. Every year since the partnership, students and staff from the partner school have visited Huntcliff School and met people from the local community. Previously a foundation school administered by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, in January 2021 Huntcliff School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the Vision Academy Learning Trust.

Saltburn Viaduct (also known as either Upleatham, Riftswood, or Skelton Beck Viaduct) is a railway bridge in Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England. The line was built as an extension of the Redcar and Saltburn Railway, and the viaduct is mostly built out of brick. The line opened to passengers in 1872, but became freight only in 1957, a purpose for which it still is in use for today as part of the Boulby line.
