Wake Forest station

Wake Forest Baptist Church is two churches in North Carolina, United States. One church is in the town of Wake Forest, North Carolina. It has been operating for almost 200 years. The other church was on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It was active from 1956 to 2022, but has now closed.

Downtown Wake Forest Historic District is a national historic district located at Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 25 contributing buildings, 1 contributing structure, and 1 contributing object built between about 1890 and 1949 and located in the central business district of the town of Wake Forest. It includes notable examples of Colonial Revival and Art Deco style architecture. Notable buildings include the Lovelace Building (1940s), Dick Frye Restaurant (1940s), Powers-Barbee Building (c. 1890, 1940s), Wilkinson Building (1899), B&S Department Store (1894-1895, 1949), Arrington Building (1915), Bank of Wake (1895), Wake Forest Post Office (1914), Collegiate Theater (1915), and Wake Forest Post Office (1940).The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

South Brick House is a historic home located at Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. The house was built in 1838, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, double-pile, Greek Revival style brick dwelling with a side gable roof. A number of small, frame additions were made to the rear of the house, beginning in the late-19th century. It features a replacement pedimented portico supported by four Doric order columns. The house retains finely preserved interior decoration from Asher Benjamin’s 1830 pattern book, Practical House Carpenter. Also on the property are the contributing kitchen (1855), smokehouse (1855), and a single-story, side-gabled, weatherboarded, frame house (c. 1838, c. 1960). The house was originally built as faculty accommodation for Wake Forest Institute.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. It is located in the Wake Forest Historic District.

Lea Laboratory is a historic laboratory building located on the original campus of Wake Forest College (now Wake Forest University) at Wake Forest, North Carolina. It was designed by noted Baltimore architect John Appleton Wilson (1851–1927) and built in 1887–1888. It consists of a two-story pedimented central brick block, three bays wide and seven deep flanked by one-story pedimented brick wings. The building has a blend of Colonial Revival and Victorian design elements. It is the oldest remaining building on the original campus of Wake Forest University, now Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and was one of the first chemical laboratories constructed on a Southern college campus.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is located in the Wake Forest Historic District.

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) is a Baptist theological institute in Wake Forest, North Carolina. It is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. in Wake Forest, North Carolina. It was created in 1950 to meet a need in the SBC's East Coast region. It was voted into existence on May 19, 1950, at the SBC annual meeting and began offering classes in the fall of 1951 on the original campus of Wake Forest University (then Wake Forest College) in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The undergraduate program is called The College at Southeastern. The current president is Daniel L. Akin. It has been accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS) since 1958 and by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) since 1978.

Other notable buildings include the historic campus of Wake Forest College, Wake Forest Baptist Church (1913), Magnolia Hill (1928), Calvin Jones House (circa 1820), John M. Brewer House (circa 1860), Wait-Taylor House (1843), Taylor-Purefoy-Poteat-Swett House (circa 1840), Community House (circa 1942), St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (now Hope Lutheran Church, circa 1940), the Powers Store (1897), and former Water and Light Building (1909).The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The College at Southeastern (or Southeastern College) is a Baptist Christian college located in Wake Forest, North Carolina, United States. It is affiliated with the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Southern Baptist Convention). The College offers undergraduate associate and baccalaureate degree programs as well as a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies.The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The college's enrollment in 2022 is approximately 650 students.

Dr. Calvin Jones House, is a historic plantation home located in Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built around 1820, and is a two-story, two-bay deep, three-bay wide, frame house covered with breaded weatherboard. The house was originally owned by Dr. Calvin Jones who was a physician and the mayor (then called Intendant of Police) of Raleigh, North Carolina. The house has been moved three times. The house was first moved around 1835 approximately 50 yards west. The second move around 1842 moved the house approximately 100 yards west. The third move was in 1956 after it was threatened to be demolished to make room for a new cafeteria. The third move was funded by Wake Forest College and moved it to the current 4.5-acre lot.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Wake Forest High School, formerly Wake Forest-Rolesville High School, is a four-year high school (9–12) located in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

Groves Stadium, currently known as Trentini Stadium, is a stadium in Wake Forest, North Carolina, United States. It hosted the Wake Forest University Demon Deacons football team until the school moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Bowman Gray Stadium. Since then, the stadium has hosted the homes games of Wake Forest High School. The stadium held 20,000 people at its peak and was opened in 1940. It is currently named after former Wake Forest University player and coach of Wake Forest-Rolesville High School, Tony Trentini. Wake Forest University's current home stadium was also known as Groves Stadium until 2006.

W. E. B. DuBois School, also known as Wake Forest Graded School (Colored), Wake Forest Colored High School, and Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School, is a historic Rosenwald School building and school complex located at Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. The elementary school was built in 1926, consists of a one-story, seven-bay, brick veneer, main block with a rear ell and Colonial Revival style design elements. It has a side-gable roof and front portico. The High School Building was built in 1939 with funds provided by the Public Works Administration. It is a one-story, rectangular brick block with a hipped roof and slightly projecting gabled portico. The Agriculture Building/Shop was brought to this site in 1942. It is a one-story, L-shaped brick building, with the addition built about 1952–1953.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Glen Royall Mill Village Historic District is a historic mill town and national historic district located at Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 82 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site built between about 1900 and 1949 and located in a residential section of the town of Wake Forest. It includes notable examples of Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Royall Cotton Mill Commissary. Other notable buildings include the Royall Cotton Mill (1899-1900), the Powell-White House (1909-1910), and pyramidal cottages, triple-A cottages, and shotgun houses.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
