Sharston Hall was a manor house built in Sharston, an area of Wythenshawe, Manchester, England, in 1701. A three-storey building with Victorian additions, it was purchased by Thomas Worthington, an early umbrella tycoon, and occupied by the Worthington family until 1856, when the last male heir died. The hall was occupied by the Henriques family in the 1920s, but following their death in a motor accident in 1932 the house was converted into flats. Manchester Corporation purchased the hall in 1926. During the Second World War it was leased by the local watch committee for use by the police, civil defence and fire services.From 1941 until 1957 Sharston Hall's coach house served as Wythenshawe's fire station. In 1948 the Sharston Community Association, founded that same year, was allocated part of the hall for use as a community centre. Two years later the association took over the entire house, expanding in 1957 to also occupy the coach house then recently vacated by the fire service.By the late 1960s the hall was in a poor state of repair and was boarded up. Sharston Hall was demolished in 1986, replaced by offices in a sympathetic 18th-century style – or what Pevsner's architectural guide calls a parody of it – and houses.

Menorah Synagogue, a member of the Movement for Reform Judaism, is a synagogue in Manchester in the United Kingdom and the place of worship for the Cheshire Reform Congregation. The synagogue is on Altrincham Road in Sharston, Wythenshawe. Its rabbi is Rabbi Fabian Sborovsky. He took up his post on 1 February 2015 in succession to Rabbi Haim Shalom.

Northenden railway station in Sharston, Manchester, England, was built by the Stockport, Timperley and Altrincham Junction Railway (ST&AJ) and opened for passenger and goods traffic on 1 February 1866.On 15 August 1867 the ST&AJ became part of the Cheshire Lines Committee, from 1 January 1923 jointly owned by the London and North Eastern Railway and the London, Midland and Scottish Railway.Some railway timetables describe the station as Northenden for Wythenshawe because, lying between the road overbridges at Sharston Road and Longley Lane, it served the two districts.

Micker Brook is a tributary of the River Mersey in North West England. Known early in its course as Bollinhurst Brook and Norbury Brook, then Lady Brook, the river runs along the Ladybrook Valley westward and northward through Hazel Grove, Bramhall and Cheadle. It joins the River Mersey not far from the M60 motorway near to Cheadle Village, Stockport.

Old Bedians Sports Centre is a mixed use sports centre located in East Didsbury, being home to Didsbury Old Bedians RUFC rugby club, Bedians AFC football club and Oisins CLG Gaelic Football club. Old Bedians is located south of Manchester, on the north bank of the River Mersey. It is the principal Gaelic games sports facility in Lancashire and is currently the home grounds of Lancashire GAA and CLG Oisín.The ground takes its name from the Football and Rugby clubs based on the same site, founded by former students of St Bede's College, Manchester. Old Bedians RUFC 1st XV compete in Lancashire/Chesire 2 of the RFU North, while the 2nd XV compete in Division 4 East of the North West Intermediate Rugby Leagues playing fixtures on Saturday afternoon and training every Wednesday evening.

Northen Etchells was a township in Cheshire, England. "Northen" is an old name for Northenden and "Etchells" came from Anglo-Saxon ēcels = "land added to an estate".

Benchill is a tram stop for Phase 3b of the Manchester Metrolink. It opened on 3 November 2014. It is on the Airport Line at the Brownley Road/Hollyhedge Road crossroads. A health centre and new sixth form college are also near the stop.
