Tiller, Norway

Tiller Church (Norwegian: Tiller kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Tiller area in the city of Trondheim. It is the church for the Tiller parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1901 by the architect Johan Kunig. The church seats about 200 people.

Bratsberg Power Station (Bratsberg kraftverk) is a hydroelectric power station located in Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag County, Norway, owned by Statkraft. It operates at an installed capacity of 124 MW, with an average annual production of 650 GWh. The power plant is fed from the Selbusjøen reservoir, connected with a 12 km long tunnel, offering a gross head of 147 m. The power plant has two Francis turbines.

Tanem is a village in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located between Nidelva river and Vassfjellet approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of the village of Klæbu which sits on the other side of the river. The 0.45-square-kilometre (110-acre) village has a population (2018) of 1,273 and a population density of 2,829 inhabitants per square kilometre (7,330/sq mi). Tanem's population has been growing rapidly. The Tanem village itself and surrounding areas provides few employment opportunities and most of the residents of Tanem commute to Trondheim to work.

Vassfjell Chapel (Norwegian: Vassfjellkapellet) is a chapel in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in a rural area northeast of the mountain Vassfjellet, about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) west of the village of Tanem. There is no direct road access to the chapel, but there is a 1-kilometre (0.62 mi) long hiking path from a parking lot located on the road to the north. It is an annex chapel for the Klæbu parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1974 by the architect students Steinar Romedal, Jan Oddvar Hareide, I. Tolo, and O. Holen.

Tiller or Tillerbyen is a neighborhood in the borough of Heimdal in the city of Trondheim, Norway. It is located in the southwestern part of Trondheim Municipality in Trøndelag county. Tiller Church is located in the neighborhood. The European route E6 highway passes through Tiller from north to south, connecting Trondheim with Melhus. The highway was rebuilt as a four-lane motorway from 2011-2019. Tiller has large commercial areas including shopping centers and around 300 businesses, especially in Tillerbyen. Among the shopping centers in this area, City Syd is the best known. Tiller IL is the sports club based in Tiller.

Tiller Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Tiller videregående skole) is situated in Tiller in southern Trondheim, next to Rosten School and is run by Sør-Trøndelag county municipality. The school was founded in 1986, and is therefore one of the youngest high schools in the county. At the time of its founding, there were no reserved buildings for the institution and the school had to borrow buildings in central Heimdal in the initial phases. In 1999, however, the school could move into brand new buildings and has stayed there since. The school's facilities for the students includes a library with computer terminals for database searches, and a canteen that serves hot and cold meals all school days. in August 2022, the new Tiller primary school will be opened for 750 pupils.

City Syd is one of the largest shopping centres in Norway, and the largest in Midt-Norge, with a turnover of NOK 1.7 billion in 2004. It is located in Tiller, in the Heimdal area of Trondheim. City Syd opened in 1987 and was remodeled and expanded in 2000. It is now 38,000 m2 and has 72 stores on three floors. It is owned by the Trondheim Cooperative, Trondos and Storebrand.

Estenstadmarka is a hilly, forested area east-southeast of the city center of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is mainly used for recreation by the population of Trondheim. There are several gravel tracks, and electrically lit tracks for cross country skiing in the winter season. There are also several lakes, and a cabin (Estenstadhytta, 329 m.a.s.l.). There is a fine view over the city and fjord below from the Månen viewpoint. Estenstadmarka is bounded by the lake Jonsvannet in the east. The NTNU campus at Dragvoll is located near Estenstadmarka.

National Road 706 (Norwegian: Riksvei 706) is a road running through Trondheim, Norway. It runs from the E6 at Sluppen, runs along Osloveien and then the Marienborg Tunnel to Ilsvika, then runs through Nordre avlastningsvei, including the Ilsvika Tunnel and the Skansen Tunnel, across Nidelv Bridge before following Haakon VII's gate until reaching the E6 at Rotvoll.

Selsbakk Station is a railway station at Selsbakk in Trondheim, Norway on the Dovre Line. The station is located 6.4 kilometers south of Trondheim S and is served by local trains to Røros. The station was opened 1890 as part of Trondhjem–Støren Line, but moved somewhat in 1919 when it got a new station building when the line was converted to standard gauge and became part of the Dovre Line.
