Llawhaden

Llawhaden Castle (Welsh: Castell Llanhuadain) (grid reference SN 073175) is a ruined castle in Llawhaden, Pembrokeshire, Wales, 10 miles (16 km) east of Haverfordwest. A motte-and-bailey castle is thought to have previously occupied the site and the present structure was built by the bishops of the Diocese of St David in the 13th century. The castle was abandoned in the 16th century and some of the stone was removed for local building projects. The site is privately owned by the Lord of the Manor of Llawhaden and managed by Cadw.

Llawhaden Bridge is a Grade II* listed medieval stone arch bridge spanning the Eastern Cleddau river near Llawhaden village in Pembrokeshire, Wales, in the community of Llawhaden and about 1 mile (1.6 km) upstream of the river's tidal limit at Canaston Bridge. It is a scheduled ancient monument.

Robeston Wathen Quarries is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (or SSSI) in Pembrokeshire, South Wales, immediately to the north of the village of Robeston Wathen. It has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest since January 1967 in an attempt to protect its fragile geological elements. The site has an area of 1.64 hectares and is managed by Natural Resources Wales.

Robeston Wathen is a rural village and parish in Pembrokeshire, Wales, 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Narberth, on the former Narberth to Haverfordwest turnpike subsequently designated the A40 which bypassed the village in 2011. Robeston Wathen is in the community of Llawhaden. The village is mediaeval, and limestone was quarried there.

Canaston Bridge is the location in Pembrokeshire, southwest Wales where the A40 trunk road crosses the Eastern Cleddau. It is on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Pembroke, and close to Oakwood Theme Park and Blue Lagoon waterpark. It is about half a mile upstream of Blackpool Mill, at the normal tidal limit of the river.

Gelli is a small settlement in the community and parish of Llawhaden, Pembrokeshire, Wales, at the confluence of the Syfynwy and Cleddau Ddu rivers. It is 3 miles (5 km) northwest of Narberth and 8 miles (13 km) east of Haverfordwest. The nearest railway station is at Clunderwen 2 miles (3 km) to the east. There was a woollen mill in Gelli that ceased production in 1938.

River Syfynwy (Welsh: Afon Syfynwy, Syfnwy or Syfni) is a river entirely within Pembrokeshire, Wales, rising in the Preseli Hills, feeding the Rosebush and Llys y Fran reservoirs and joining the Eastern Cleddau to the south. It is a river considered to be important as an ecological indicator and part is in a site of special scientific interest.

Gelli Bridge is a Grade II listed two-arch bridge spanning the River Syfynwy a few yards before its confluence with the Eastern Cleddau. The date of the bridge is not known, though projecting keystones suggest it is 18th century. It has been modified since its original construction. The unequal semicircular arches span 7m and 4m and the roadway is 2.4m between the parapets, with wider approaches. It may originally have had a third, small arch to the east of the main span. The bridge is listed twice (with different IDs and dates) because it falls within two parishes. This listed bridge is not to be confused with several other bridges in the vicinity which carry road and rail across the Eastern Cleddau and another tributary.

Bethesda (; Welsh: [bɛθ'ɛsda]) is a small village in the community of Llawhaden, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It lies on a bend of the B4313 road in the valley of the Eastern Cleddau river a few miles north north west of Narberth.

Blackpool Mill is a 19th century flour mill in the community of Martletwy, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It sits to the west of Blackpool Bridge on the southern bank of the Eastern River Cleddau, downstream from Canaston Bridge. Built in 1813 on the site of former ironworks, the mill is a Grade-II* listed building, which is intact and contains working machinery, but has ceased commercial operation. Blackpool Mill is listed by RCAHMW as an historic place name. The mill was originally powered by a centre water wheel, 4.5 metres (15 ft) in diameter and 3.5 metres (11 ft) wide. A turbine replaced the wheel about 1900, driving four pairs of stones. The mill remained in use until 1958; the drive was converted to electricity. In 1968, renovations enabled the building to be opened to the public. Currently, the mill is closed to the public but features in the Narberth to Blackpool Mill Walk.Several other features of the site are listed by Coflein: Blackpool bridge, a furnace, the mill leat and the wharf.

Bluestone National Park Resort is a holiday park in Pembrokeshire, southwest Wales. The resort falls partly within the boundaries of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The park is owned by several private backers and Pembrokeshire County Council and employs about 700 people.

Megafobia is a wooden roller coaster located at Oakwood Theme Park, Pembrokeshire, Wales, United Kingdom. It opened on 30 April 1996 and was built by Custom Coasters International, who wanted a ride to showcase their company in Europe. Megafobia features a twister style layout. Megafobia was the first major attraction to be installed at Oakwood Theme Park (then Oakwood Leisure Park) in West Wales and transformed the park's fortunes from a small family leisure park to a major UK theme park. Until the construction of Wicker Man commenced at Alton Towers in 2017, it was also the most recent wooden roller coaster to be built in the UK. On 30 April 2016 it celebrated 20 years at Oakwood. The standard speed of Megafobia is 48 mph.
