First Trust Building and Garage, also known as Lloyd's Bank, is a historic 1927 building located on Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California. The building was designed by Cyril Bennett and Fitch Haskell; its design incorporates the Mediterranean Revival, Renaissance Revival, and Beaux-Arts styles. The design features decorative exterior stonework, a red tile hip roof topped with a cupola, and a frieze and balustrade on the south facade. The building's interior is decorated with murals depicting scenes from around Pasadena. Caltech professor R. R. Martel designed the building's earthquake-proof support system, which uses steel beams and girders with reinforcing concrete; the system was considered an important advancement in earthquake-proof construction and became a standard form of construction.The First Trust Building and Garage was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Playhouse Village, (formerly known as Playhouse District) a neighborhood in Pasadena, California, is bordered by Interstate 210 to the north, California Boulevard to the south, Los Robles Avenue to the west, and Hudson Avenue to the east, with a panhandle-like extension to Wilson Avenue. The Singer Building in Pasadena, California is a Spanish Colonial Revival building located at 520 E. Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California. Built in 1926, the building was designed by Everett Phipps Babcock and is his only surviving non-residential design. The Spanish Colonial Revival design of the building was popular in Pasadena in the 1920s. Prominent features of the building's design include a red tile roof, a stone frieze with a tiled pattern, and piers with decorative moldings. The building originally housed a Singer Sewing Machine Company showroom and has since been used for other commercial purposes.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 16, 1985.

The Odd Fellows Temple in Pasadena, California is a historic building that was built in 1933 at 175 N. Los Robles Ave. The temple served as a meeting place for Odd Fellow Lodge No. 324, the Pasadena branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows established in 1885. Pasadena architect Kenneth Gordon designed the building; its design incorporates the Spanish Colonial Revival and Mediterranean Revival styles. The temple is the only Spanish Colonial Revival building in Pasadena which was built for a fraternal organization. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1985.It is a large building but was nonetheless moved in 1987, after its NRHP listing, to 120 N. El Molino Avenue.

Scottish Rite Cathedral in Pasadena, California was built in 1925 in a Moderne and/or Zig Zag Moderne style. Architecturally significant in greater Los Angeles as a pre-PWA Classical Moderne building with distinctive decorative guardian sphinxes, the Scottish Rite Cathedral is associated strongly with the social history of Pasadena, in particular with the Scottish Rite, an appendant body associated with Freemasonry. The building was designed and/or built by Joseph J. Blick and W.C. Crowell. Joseph Blick is remembered for the Scottish Rite Cathedral and designed many homes in Pasadena.In 1984, the building was deemed eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places based on its importance and documentation thereof, but the building was not finally listed (NRIS reference number 84003894, decision date October 3, 1984). The listing was cancelled due to owner objection, which under terms of the National Register program, vetoes the listing.The building was built in 1925. It cost approximately $300,000, was described as magnificently furnished and was dedicated at a ceremony on February 18, 1925 attended by approximately 1700 high-degree masons and their families.As of 2020, the building is still in use by the Scottish Rite organization.

The Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA) was an art museum located in Pasadena, California, United States, showcasing art and design originating from California. The museum was founded by long-time Pasadena residents and art collectors Robert and Arlene Oltman. Ground was broken in 2000 and the museum officially opened in June 2002. The museum did not house a permanent collection, but instead featured changing exhibits. Notable exhibitions included Maynard Dixon: Masterpieces from the Brigham Young University and Private Collections, the largest exhibition of Dixon's art to date; Wayne Thiebaud: 70 Years of Painting, a retrospective survey; Data + Art: Science and Art in the Age of Information, organized in conjunction with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and a mid-career retrospective of painter Mark Ryden. The museum hosted the California Design Biennial. The museum closed in October 2018.

The Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine is a medical school associated with the Kaiser Permanente health system and located in Pasadena, California. The school matriculated its inaugural class of 50 students in July 2020. In November 2019, the school was renamed in honor of late Kaiser Permanente Chairman and CEO Bernard J. Tyson.Kaiser Permanente created the school to train “future physicians in 21st century medicine.” The school is using modern educational techniques and integrates the three disciplines of clinical, biomedical, and health system science. The school also emphasizes equity, inclusion, and diversity; service-learning; health promotion; student well-being; advocacy and leadership; interprofessional collaboration; and global health in its curricular experiences.

USC Pacific Asia Museum is an Asian art museum located at 46 N. Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, California, United States. The museum was founded in 1971 by the Pacificulture Foundation, which purchased "The Grace Nicholson Treasure House of Oriental Art" from the City of Pasadena. Grace Nicholson donated the structure to the city for art and cultural purposes in 1943 and was a dealer in Native American and, later, Asian art and antiques. It houses some 15,000 rare and representative examples of art from throughout Asia and the Pacific Islands. In 2013, the museum became part of the University of Southern California. The building was temporarily closed beginning June 27, 2016 until December 2017 for a seismic retrofit and renovation. It has reopened as of December 8, 2017 with new operating hours.The building, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, was built in 1926 and designed by the architectural firm of Marston, Van Pelt & Maybury. It is designed in the style of a Chinese imperial palace and features a central courtyard with a garden, a small pool, and decorative carvings.
